(Ever since Cloak was a kid, he's wanted to be a famous swordsman. He would watch cartoons of ninjas fighting with swords and wanted to be one of them. It was a dream his father never encouraged nor anything he did. His father was a butcher and didn't believe cores should exist. He thought all of it was too much for this world. Anytime his father would catch him practicing for his core, he would beat him...mercilessly. To get your core, you must meditate and do many different practices. People have made books and websites on all the different ways you can get it. Some are easier, some are harder, some faster, some slower, but Cloak never cared. He just wanted one to help him be a better swordsman. He would take his father's butcher knives and pretend those were swords, and if he was caught, he'd get beat. His mother and father were divorced when Cloak was only four. His mom took his sister and his dad got him. After the divorse, his dad started to drink. He took his anger out on Cloak, but Cloak never seemed to care about the yelling, but the beating was another story. No matter what happened though, Cloak always followed his dream of being the best swordsman. If his dad didn't stop him, Reo won't stop him.)
Cloak: "Die damn it!"
Reo: "Never!"
(Cloak and Reo were slashing swords at each other, clanging the blades together. Reo's heart was in tons of pain, but if he slowed down, that blade would cause even more pain. Kazu was watching from across the street. He was watching the battle from a distance. He could easily teleport Cloak to jail if things get too out of hand. He knows Reo likes to fight on his own without help, so Kazu will let him do so till it gets too crazy. While Kazu waited he played games on his phone. Kazu had a few games about him, so he likes to play a few of those once in awhile. 'Portal jump' has to be his all time favorite. You just kind of jump through portals to get to the next level. It's pretty simple, but Kazu loves it. Mostly because he's good at it. Most heroes have games and movies all about them. It's mostly bigger heroes though. Like him, Mr. Clone, Captain Amazing, and others. Kazu has gotten to work with those two before. They are fairly powerful, but when it comes to the end, Kazu believes he would win in a fight.)
Kazu: *sigh* "Reo, win this please. I don't wanna deal with your crap if I have to save the day."
(Kazu knew exactly what Reo would do if Kazu saved him. Reo would yell and yell and yell about how he had it and Kazu got in his way. Reo would say how he was so close to winning the fight, and Kazu should've given him a minute. Kazu made a tiny portal and put his hand in it. He grabbed a soda and started to drink it. Just a little something to pass the time. Reo was still clanging swords with Cloak. Reo's sword was really damaged from the fight and Cloak's sword wasn't any better. Reo didn't know what would last longer, his sword or him. He needed to think of a plan before his sword broke or he passed out from the pain of his core. Reo didn't even think about his own core killing him. It is a possibility, but he had no time to think about that. Apparently Kazu can't help him in the fight due to the Cloak having a power type core. Kazu probably could take this guy out with his portals easily though, but Reo doesn't want Kazu getting all the credit. This is Reo's fight, and he'll get the money for the catch. He had to do something, and he thinks he has an idea. Reo jumped back for a second and stopped swinging.)
Reo: "Hey Cloak, so what's with the long hair? Do you not have money for a barber shop or do you just not know where to go?"
Cloak: "I will not be mocked by some garbage swordsman. This is just some excuse to get a break from swinging! Now come here and finish this fight."
(Cloak charged at him with his sword, but Reo jumped out of the way. It hurts to even dodge attacks now, but it's better than swinging the sword forever.)
Cloak: "What are you doing? Why are you dodging? Fight me!!!"
Reo: "I'll fight you in a minute. Let's just talk right now."
Cloak: "Talking is for wimps that don't want to fight!"
(Cloak charged at Reo again. Reo dodged like he did before, but this time it hurt even more. He was definitely passing his limit, but he had to.)
Reo: "Come on. Let's just talk."
(Reo was extremely tired and hurting bad. He wanted to 'talk' with Cloak so he could catch his breath and maybe even come up with a plan to beat him, but he didn't know if Cloak would stop at all. He seemed determined to beat Reo, but luckily Reo was even more determined. Cloak charged at him again, but this time Reo didn't dodge. Dodging wasn't him at all, he was letting the pain get to his head. He decided to ignore all the pain he felt and he put his sword up ready to attack.)
Cloak: "Finally, let's do this."
(Cloak swung his sword and Reo deflected it. He kicked Cloak in the shin making him lose his footing. Then Reo kicked Cloak in the stomach and made lots of electricity go into his fist. His electricity was a bit different than regular shocking electricity. Instead of just electrocuting them, it can add speed and strength in Reo's movements. He added it all into his fist behind this punch at Cloak, so this will hurt. Both Cloak and Reo. Reo hit Cloak right in the jaw throwing him back. Cloak fell right onto his back unconscious. Reo stood there looking over his body. Kazu teleported behind Reo.)
Kazu: "Wow, you did it bud. I thought i was gonna have to save you, but hey I'm proud of you. Someone is getting paid extra this week."
(Reo stood there in silence still looking over the unconscious body. Kazu gets the signal. He pats Reo on the back and walks to the body. He picks it up and makes a portal.)
Kazu: "I'll make sure the guys down at the station know to put the work you did in the books. If you are here when I get back, I'll teleport you back home, but you're glad to walk if you want."
(Kazu was about to jump in the portal, but he realized he forgot one thing he wanted to say. Kazu looked at Reo.)
Kazu: "You did good, Reo. You did good."
(Reo looked up at Kazu.)
Reo: "Whatever."
(Kazu smiled, then jumped into the portal. The portal disappeared and Reo was left alone in a dark alleyway. He sat down on the ground and leaned up against the side of the building he was next to. He looked up at the sky and then closed his eyes. He breathed slowly trying to not think about the amount of pain he was in.)
Reo: "I better get a pay raise. I didn't do that for nothing."
(A man stands on top of a building in the city. He looks older, with white hair and a white beard. He's wearing black and dark green clothes as he looks over the city. Another man behind him is sitting down leaned up against a box on the rooftop. He was wearing a black short sleeved shirt that said 'GO FIREARM'. He had on jeans and red sneakers. He has longish brown hair and bright blue eyes. This man's name was Jiko.)
Jiko: "Hey dad…"
FireArm: "Jiko! I told this! You have to call me Fire Arm when we are on patrol."
Jiko: "Oh, right. Sorry."
FireArm: "Ugh, idiot."
Jiko: "So D… I mean FireArm, uh, what are we doing here?"
FireArm: "Ugh, you're helpless, you know that."
Jiko: "Y-yeah I know. You tell me a lot."
FireArm: "Good, glad you have a good memory at least. We're out here looking for crime. Crime isn't gonna just tell us when it's happening. We gotta look for it."
Jiko: "O-oh, ok."
FireArm: "Now stop being useless and come up here."
Jiko: "Alright dad-"
(FireArm backhanded Jiko right in his face. Jiko fell backwards hitting his head on the concrete of the roof.)
FireArm: "I said, call me FireArm."
(FireArm's right arm became covered with fire. Jiko sat up a bit rubbing his cheek and the back of his head, they both hurt a lot."
FireArm: "Now come on Jiko. Off to the next building."
Jiko: "But Da- FireArm. I can't just jump from building to building like you. You know I technically don't have a core."
FireArm: "Then climb down, then go to the one I'm on, and climb back up. It's not that hard, idiot."
Jiko: "But-"
(Before he could speak, FireArm used his fire to launch himself from building to building. It looks like Jiko will be walking far. Jiko means accident, because that's what he is, or at least what his dad likes calling him. Jiko's mother died while giving birth to him, and his father blamed him for that. It's either that or he's disappointed by the core Jiko has. Jiko plays a game with himself trying to find out the real reason his father hates him. It's a dark game, but it's the most fun Jiko has. Jiko's core is core stealing, which may sound cool, but actually is terrible, for a hero at least. Everyone that dies leaves a mist type substance to go off the body. No one can see it, or breath it in, except for Jiko. If he breaths in the mist then he steals that person's core with none of their downfalls. Jiko never knew what the downfall of his core is because he has never used it. All he knows is the facts in the core history book, but they guessed that the downfall was having to kill for power. Which is a terrible core to get as a hero, but for a villain it will be awesome.)
FireArm: "Hurry up, damn it! We got crime to stop!"
(FireArm yelled from the top of a building Jiko was next to.)
Jiko: "O-oh coming."
(Jiko used the fire escape to get to the top of the roof. When he got to the top FireArm was crouched over the edge looking around for crime. Jiko walked over to FireArm and crouched down next to him.)
FireArm: "What took so long?"
Jiko: "You went really far and I-"
FireArm: "Shut up with your excuses. Just don't let it happen again."
Jiko: "Oh uh o-ok."
FireArm: "Ugh, crime makes me sick. I want it to all disappear."
Jiko: "Yeah, it should. Those stupid villians all through out the city belong in jail."
FireArm: "Not everyone that does crime is a villian you moron."
Jiko: "O-oh."
FireArm: "Ugh, you're so helpless. How do you think you'll ever become a hero with your train of thought and no core on top of that?"
(Jiko looked down at his feet embarrassed while muttering to himself)
Jiko: "I have a core…"
FireArm: "What was that?"
Jiko: "Nothing."
FireArm: "That's what I thought."
(FireArm looked off into the city looking for crime, but didn't like the building he was on top of.)
FireArm: "Come on. Let's go to the next building."
Jiko: "Wait, can I hang on to you while you jump to the next one? It'll just be faster for me."
FireArm: "Oh why don't you use your core… oh wait. Hahahahahaha."
(FireArm propelled himself to the next building and Jiko sat there for a moment, preparing himself for the mile walk to the next building.)
