Doc slides over a small machine before looking at them both, "so who wants to go first?"
Luck volunteers himself and the Doc tell him to take his shirt off, he obediently stands up and takes his shirt off. Docs face doesn't show any reaction seeing Luck shirtless, but internally he is surprised because there isn't a ounce of fat on the person in front of him. Initially he was wondering if they were both girls but seeing this one was hiding a mass of perfectly defined and symmetrical muscle tissue. He thought the boy looked like a anatomy model with skin.
Still he carried on with his exam without missing a beat. Doc then attached a few white stickers to Lucks body and his temples before connecting them to the machine, and on Lucks finger was placed a small cuff.
Once everything was in place Doc gave it a once over, double checking that everything was in place before pressing a button on the machine. Luck felt a little prick on his finger and gave a sidewise glance over at Yuki who was paying close attention to the process and gave a small nod.
On top of the machine a display popped up forming a 3D image of Luck that had all of his information in there. Temperature, heart rate, blood pressure, blood type, and a host of other things for the doctor to look at.
Doc is standing there for a few minutes looking at the information on the screen and looking back at Luck, he has a fairly incredulous expression on his face. Because what his machine is telling him is that this boy is a perfectly healthy normal human.
"Alright lad, I don't know what secrets your hiding or how your messing with my equipment here but I do know your not a normal human." He says this as he looks Luck in the eye, trying to gauge his reaction.
Luck maintains eye contact with him while asking "just what makes you say that Doc?"
"Are you kidding me? Just look at yourself, but if you want to be specific this says your only seven years old and with a body like that? Even if you were tall for your age you should be about a foot shorter unless your a augmented human or hybrid but then this machine would reflect that. There's also the fact that your DNA doesn't match with anybody who was registered to the base. Your not in the system anywhere so according to this you don't exist, and that's impossible, just common sense reasoning kiddos."
Doc then reaches over and pulls all the stickers off Luck and grabs a band aid for his pricked finger. However when he removes the finger cuff he sees that there is no mark on Lucks finger or any blood. Shrugging his shoulders he then starts putting everything back before he wheels the machine over to where he got it from and turns it off. Lastly Doc grabs a chair from the wall and brings it over facing the two of them and takes a seat.
"Your not the only ones with secrets" Doc says with a smile. "This little show was mainly just because I was curious what your data would say, let me introduce you to the person in charge." As he finishes saying that a tall man wearing a black dress uniform that was littered in medals flips open the curtain.
The two men exchange a salute, then Doc says "Kids this is Colonel Rico, Imperium commander of the 13th special forces regiment the Sanguineous Ocularis, Captain of the warship Insomnia which your currently on."
"Thanks Doc, I'll take it from here" the Colonel says as he pulls out a folder and tosses it to Luck.
The Colonel's troops had pulled it out of the late Dr Asclepius office when they were searching the base. After reading it the Colonel had issued orders to search the cell Luck was supposed to be at, and not finding him there he had issued new orders detailing Lucks appearance and had his troops to be on the lookout for him.
When SGT Denny reported the situation in the Biomechanics lab and finding not one but two silver haired kids and no bodies it got his attention and he started making the arrangements that lead to this current situation.
"You can keep that, I've already read it." The Colonel gestures to the folder he tossed. Now then, how about you two explain to me why I shouldn't jettison you both into the nearest sun."
Luck looks to Yuki thinking what now?
[System - The good news is he hasn't decided what to do with us yet, the bad news is I think the probability of getting out of here unscathed is nearly impossible if it comes down to a fight.]
Feeling like he couldn't possibly come up with a outright lie that would be convincing enough in this situation he just tells the Colonel the truth, part of it anyway.
Luck started with how he thought he was suffering from memory loss because while he could recall certain things like the language, but he can't remember anything before waking up floating in a tank of orange slime. Then he goes on to explain he can sense that he has the power to heal others. Luck explained how his body was strange to him and he didn't know how to describe it properly either.
Followed by a recounting of events with Humpty where he had found a Android in the lab and it one sidedly decided he was it's owner. Then he said Humpty had tried to grab him and force him over to the teleporter and the Android killed her and all the bodies in the lab started to disappear and the androids appearance changed at the same time. Finally he finished with when he had fabricated the story that the Android was his sister when the soldiers found him because he didn't want them thinking he was insane.
Luck didn't mention his system, talking to voices in his head or any of his abilities besides the power to heal. While he had a general idea about how to use his life ability he hadn't been able to test it yet because one thing after the next happened and he wasn't sure at all how he could use the other abilities just yet.
Colonlel Rico and Doc are sitting there listening intently, they were fully expecting to hear some nonsense but surprisingly most of what they heard added up with the information they knew. Both of the men were well experienced and could for the most part tell when somebody was lying to them but what they heard sounded genuine.
The Colonel started to pace around, as was his habit whenever he needed to think. He figured most of what he just heard was the truth and while he figured there was some stuff that was missing, it was probably just because the boy himself didn't know it, and he wasn't trying to hide anything.
What he needed to do now was see what the pair was capable of and if he could use them especially the boys healing ability. A ability to heal others was incredibly rare to the point of being exotic among humans. While regeneration itself was also rare, there were probably a hundred regenerators to every 1 healer.
As for the female loli looking Android he figured he would just plug her in to one of the training simulators later and get her stats so there wasn't any need to waste his time with it.
"Hey Doc, we have a few soldiers still waiting for their turn to go for a swim right?" The Colonel stops pacing and turns to Doc.
Human technology was currently at the stage that as long as a wound wasn't fatal and treatment was given in time almost anything could be healed. The only issue being such technology was expensive and the healing process took a long time for the more severe wounds. It would often take a month or more to regrow a missing limb for example and the machine they used for such healing was a large tank that the soldier had to stay in the entire time. Soldiers often referred to the time spent being healed as "going for a swim."
Hearing the question and guessing the Colonel's intent because he was thinking along the same lines Doc stands up and says "follow me".
