The system then changes Lucks view to the next screen which is a list with ability's and at the top left he can see a number 3 indicating he has 3 points to spend.
Luck would have normally only received one ability but the mysterious voice is giving him 2 bonus ability points for a total of three. Luck recalls the voice in his head said he would receive any 2 ability's he wanted from a list and apparently it told him the truth. "Perks of being the chosen one I gusss?"
Luck tries to recall how long ago that was when all this started, was it a few minutes ago or hours. He can't really tell how much time has passed at all and the only sense he has is his sight.
After looking over the abilities list Luck thinks "this is awesome!" "Any one of these ability's with a little bit of creativity would make me strong." With this his worries about being weak or average disappear.
The ability's listed are all one word ability's without any further information.
[Physical abilities: speed, strength, endurance, perception, reflex, vision, hearing, genius] there are a lot more things listed here but it starts getting redundant like stretchy skin so Luck moves on to the next row.
[Elemental abilities: fire, water, earth, air]
[Universal abilities: space, time, transformation]
[Special abilities: life, death, telekinesis, mutation]
[Defensive abilities: status effects, physical, magical, mental]
Looking at this list he bursts out, "What the hell is this?" Once again there is no description and some of the options just seem ridiculous.
"Having the powers of Life and Death seems too much to me, wouldn't that just be all powerful?" Well I don't know that, maybe it just gives me ability's related to those fields like healing magic and necromancer powers or something. "Anyway I think having the power to heal would be absolutely useful no matter what so I choose (life) for my first slot."
"Seems like I could be a absolute Juggernaut but fuck I don't know that either, could just be a modifier to my physique stats if I just went with three physical abilitys. On the other hand there is elemental ability's and things here so it might not matter how much of a beast I am at the physical stuff, I would still be limited by my body and that seems boring anyway with these kind of options."
"So for my second choice I choose (time). I figure I can make up for quite a bit of things like perception and reaction speed if I can manipulate time itself a bit. Not sure how this will work but I'm confident I won't regret that choice either even if it sounds overpowered", he laughs while continuing to talk to himself.
For the last choice it's a toss up for him between mutation and transformation. They both seem like really similar abilities in his mind but mutation to Luck is more like evolving and transformation is the ability to do just that. Transform yourself or parts of yourself into something else. He figures if he has life and time and mutation he can do anything he wants in the long run. "I pick (mutation) for the third slot."
[System - user has chosen life// time// mutation confirmed.]
Lucks point of view shifts to the naming screen and he can see his avatar standing there and a blank space above the head. Time to choose a name then. Luck is already filled in and there doesn't seem to be a way to change it or go back so he confirms his name.
[System - user name confirmed as Luck]
At this point his vision goes away completely and the next thing he hears is the female voice of the system.
[System - finding suitable reality]
[System - parallel universe found]
[System - transferring consciousness]
