A bolt of lightning appeared in the sky followed by the frightening sound of thunder. The thick rain that poured down heavily from the sky of that dark night were seemingly endless, however, frantic voices filled the already ominous atmosphere created by the storm.
Among them was the frail lady, wearing an already soaked black dress and holding a flashlight, who seems like desperately looking for something.
"Amol!" her cries for the one who owns the name were anxious and desperate enough to make others feel helpless to the current situation.
"Please drag your miss away, Roca." A middle aged man whispered to a girl wearing a maid uniform.
"But... She'll retaliate."
"Her health is our priority. Go!" Roca gulped nervously before nodding. She approached her frantic miss who was already grabbing her hair in anxiousness. This was the first time Roca saw the lady in that state for several years she was serving her.
"Miss Liviana, let's go. The butler and others will find Amol." Roca gently said in consideration to her mental state.
"No... I must find Amol now. That woman, she... She might have..." They all know what was Liviana was talking about. Everyone who heard her words thought that if only they have guarded well, their lady would not ended up in this situation and they might be having a good sleep right now despite the current rage of storm.
The maid felt heartache to her young miss who was breakingdown in front of her. Her confident and elegant look in the past was nowhere to be seen. Roca opened her mouth to coax her miss once again to take her back in the house when they heard a shout.
"Here! Amol is here!"
The young lady immediately ran to the direction of the voice and stopped infront of the lifeless and pitiful body lying on the ground.
Roca, who catched up to the lady looked shocked when she saw the sight. She glanced at the lady worriedly, unable to think of any word to comfort her.
"Hurry..." the lady mumbled, her blank gaze darted on the body.
When she felt that no one was moving, she glanced to the people around her. The look in their faces suddenly made her angry and dissapointed that she shouted in a way that she never used to anyone before.
"Hurry up and call the doctor!"
It was a little bit hot, sunny day when Helio Sugimoto went out of their mansion. He brought out his newly bought branded car. Helio wanted to drive his new collection to drop off his girlfriend to her work in order to flaunt to her and her colleagues his money. It was a blunt intimidation for those who were eyeing his pretty girlfriend.
He was very satisfied when he saw how his girlfriend's colleagues dropped their jaw to the ground and even felt more proud when he thought on how the car was bought by his own money. He was sure that they are feeling inferior to me right now. His girlfriend, Mina, chuckled when she saw his expression and left a kiss on his cheek.
"That's enough, Helio. You have flaunt enough."
Helio grinned cheekily at Mina's gentle words.
"I'll go now. Drive safely and take care."
"Of course. Take care too. I'll pick you up later." He patted his girlfriend's hand gently and let her go out of his car on her own. Mina was an independent lady. She did not want those pretense chivalry from a man like in romance novels and dramas that was why she does not like it when he would open the door for her to walk in effortlessly or move the chair for her to sit on when they are dining.
However, there are times that he wished that she was like any other girl as he was the type who likes to pamper and spoil his woman. The other reason was he was educated since he was a young child, by her mother and sisters, of chivalry towards a lady. That is why on times when she would reject him openly and privately, he would be disappointed and embarrassed.
He shook his head to clear away his thoughts and proceeded to drive then to his cousin's house, when the rain poured down heavily by the time he reached the stop light in an intersection.
"Tsk! And here I thought it would be sunny all day." Helio mumbled and lazily tapped his fingers on the steering wheel while waiting for the green light. He glanced at his phone on its holder when it suddenly rang and the familiar tone just for his Mina sounded.
Helio grinned foolishly and was about to swipe the screen to answer when he noticed a bright light in front of him. Helio froze like the time stopped ticking.
"Oh God, please, I do not want to die yet." He whispered silently. Helio suddenly called the existence he never spoke of in his whole life.
He did not know if it was because of the situation he was currently in, but he suddenly recalled the words of a young girl that were buried deep into his brain.
"Endings are not always bad..."
I hope so.
The last thing he heared was the deafening ringing of his ears and saw through his red coloured vision was the shards of glasses and his still vibrating phone, before everything went dark.
Helio woke up a briefly and felt his whole body was wet and heavy. His surroundings was noisy but he was only hearing them through his drowned-like ears. Helio only saw a little because it was dark and he felt his consciousness was taken away again.
Through his blurry eyes, he saw a girl holding a light and crouching in front of him. She would often turn her head and open her mouth like she was shouting. Helio did not heared her words clearly but like a magic, before he lost consciousness, he heard her gentle voice.
"Do not worry, Amol."
Who is Amol?
"You will be fine."
Yeah, I hope so.
"Because I am here."
It may be because of her gentle voice or reassuring words, Helio felt relieved for some reason and let his consciousness finally be taken away.
