Chereads / My Ex-fiancé's Pet / Chapter 2 - 2nd: Amol

Chapter 2 - 2nd: Amol

"Hello! I am Liviana Dalton, nice to meet you!"

Lively and outgoing pretty girl. Those were the words that popped up when Helio first saw Liviana. The 15 years old girl, who has yet to reach his neck, energetically greeted the 18 years old him who was introduced to her as his fiancé.

Helio did not know if the girl understood what it meant to have a fiancé if she greets him like this. He suddenly felt disgusted towards the girl's parents who arranged their daughter who has yet to reach legal age, to him. Helio stared at her smiling face, feeling complicated.

Even when they broke up 2 years later, he still feel complex emotions towards the girl he did not easily opened up to. He still did now, especially towards his current situation.

Helio stared at his now matured ex-fiancé who was currently talking with someone in a white coat. She was more beautiful now but she has lost all the vitality she first shown him before. Maybe because she was worried to her dog or because she was now a matured lady. However, he was not sure.

If you ask him what does he think when he first saw his situation, at first, he panicked to the point that the people in the white coats injected him tranquilizer. His ex-fiancé on the other hand, watched him anxiously until he fell asleep due to what they have injected him.

When he woke up a few hours after, even though they all said that he was a little stupid when it comes to reasoning, he tried to rationalize his situation and looked for reasons why did he end up on this body. Aside from being a little bit narcissistic, he do not know any bad deeds he commited to have karmic retribution to be reborn in this body.

But somehow, he accepted it because it was better that being dead or suffering from the accident.

Helio looked up when he saw that the lady finished talking with the doctor. He whined in irritation because of what they put on his head. His ex-fiancé hurriedly stopped him from moving too much.

"Amol, stop. Do not remove that cone on your head."

Helio groaned in his mind but what came out from his mouth was a cute whine. He became flustered because of it.

"Be good, okay? I will come pick you up a few days after you heal, okay?"

'Tsk! Go then! I don't care!' that was what he want to say but what came out was...

"Arf! Arf! Arf!"

"Good boy! I will be giving you treats after they allow you to discharge."

Tsk. Helio irritatedly thought, it is really miserable to be a dog who was not able to say other words than barks, growls, and whines.

Liviana smiled gently and touched his nose with her forefinger before turning around to leave. Helio hesitated when she saw her back because he did not know anyone on this place and she was the only one he knew but his pride did not allow it so she left without looking back.

For a week, Helio had a good quality of sleep that he did not even got when he was still a human. Of course, if you ignore the loud barkings of his neighbors when there is a person approaching their direction. It was no different when Liviana came with her indifferent face but became gentle when she spotted him.

He sighed in irritation with all the incomprehensible barks he hears especially with his dog ears.

Helio looked at Liviana like his savior finally came to save him from the misery he got from the other dogs.

"My Amol, how are you?"

If he is in his old body, his ears would probably be colored with the shade of red. His heart beats rapidly everytime she calls him with they word, 'my'. Even though he was not the original Amol, the warmth and affection on her eyes and voice was still directed to him which undoubtedly moved him.

"Arf!"

'I'm okay!' he answered to her question that even made her eyes bent more in raw happiness.

"My Amol is a rare smart dog, isn't he?"

"Arf! Arf!"

'Huff! Of course I'm smart!'

Liviana talked to her dog like she was dealing with her child and the dog answered her like a smart baby. Russel, who was with Liviana and also a friend to her, could not help but chuckle at the interaction of the two. Amol looked at him with his pure large eyes.

'Who is this uninvited guest? Who said you could chuckle? Go away!' he thought in wariness and growled unconsciously.

Liviana coaxingly patted his head and said to Russel, "I'm sorry but he is still wary of people he does not see often. Probably also because of what happened."

"Arf?"

'Uh, what happened?'

"I understand. Anyway, I confirmed to Hans awhile ago if we could bring him home already."

"Thank you, Sel."

'Pfft. Sel. Lame!' Since Helio cannot make fun of him in words, so he blatantly rolled his eyes for Russel to see.

"Did... Did your dog just rolled his eyes to me?" Liviana looked at Helio but he just gave him an innocent look which made her kiss his head. Helio was rendered speechless and was now in daze.

"Stop, Sel. My Amol is pure. How could he do that?"

Helio was guilty for a moment before laughing inside.

"Arf!"

'Ha! Take that!'

Helio did not know what does Liviana's house looks like, but she does know his. It was because she was the one who flew all the way from her country to his.

'Come to think of it,' Helio was hit with a sudden realization, 'she was the one who was making an effort on our relationship in the past, isn't?'

He suddenly felt guilty and peeked at her who was sitting beside him. When she felt his gaze and their eyes met in the air, she smiled gently and booped his nose which made him flustered again.

'Such a rude woman.'

If he was not a dog, he would probably looked embarrassing with the way his jaw was dropped to the floor. He heard that Liviana, who was living with her family in their mansion in New Hampshire, moved out to live independently in Aspen, Colorado, not even accepting the mansion in Washington nor penthouse in New York and Qatar they voluntarily gave her. After that, he also heard that she would be establishing her own business.

At first, he thought like everyone that it was a stupid move after moving out of the house and she would not last a few days after that. Helio thought like that because Liviana just had reached the legal age and was already moving out of the grasp of her family, but as he stare at the big and elegant mansion in front of him, he had the urge to admit that he was really stupid in reasoning.
