Darian downright choked when instead of trying to fix their collision, Leon used the momentum to push him up against the side of the hallway.
The sequence of events that followed were too quick and confusing for an already bewildered Darian.
He barely got his head around the fact that Leon was wearing a fake animal ears headband, when Leon was saying next that he wanted to show him something.
Darian's eyes flew wide in shock when Leon slammed their lips together, leaning back with a self satisfied grin.
For a few precious seconds, Darian was stumped, stunned and beyond confused, Leon seemed to expect something from him, then it hit...
"You kissed Jaxon." He muttered, unimpressed.
Leon smirked, giving him finger guns before turning around to saunter down the hallway to his own apartment without a word.
Darian leaned against the wall for a couple more precious seconds, this was exactly why he always had murderous intent towards Leo.
Why for the goddess sake couldn't he do things like average people?
Absently, he raised a hand to touch his abused lips, he should be more angry.
As a matter of fact he wasn't even angry to begin with, he was just distracted, fucking distracted because the little stunt that Leo had just pulled took his first kiss.
Cursing low under his breath, he made his way to his apartment, maybe things would make better sense in his own space.
He locked the door after getting in for good measure, he wasn't sure he could handle more of Leon in one night, not without snapping his neck or at least attempting to.
Grabbing his phone from the couch as he made his way to his bedroom because there were far more important things at the moment than his oncoming panic attack.
A quick glance at the thin, flat device gave him all the information he needed to know.
Darian took a deep breath, settling at the edge of his bed, he had not realised that he had unconsciously been waiting with bated breath all this while.
Jaxon's response was cheery and he could swear that he heard the redhead's voice while he read the text, quickly, he typed in a reply before he chickened out.
A few seconds later, his phone dinged to show that Jaxon had sent a sticker in return.
It was a date.
He had a date tomorrow, his first date.
With that out of the way, thoughts about Leon came tumbling into his head and he was none too pleased about them.
Settling in bed with a frown, he kept trying to convince himself that what had happened could not be termed as a kiss, right?
Why the fuck did it bother him so much anyway?
He had hoped that Jaxon would get his first kiss but somehow, Leon had not only gotten to kiss Jaxon first but had also snagged his first kiss as well.
Maybe what irked him was the fact that Leon did not think about it after it was done but here he was unable to sleep on the night before his first date for reasons entirely different from what was to be expected.
Instead, here he was thinking about someone else.
With that, he readied himself to fall asleep, pushing away every thought of the pierced and tattooed, thorn in his side, he would get back at Leon definitely.
It was still pretty early to be sleeping but Darian did not have any interest in meeting more people, not when his emotions were all over the place.
Besides, the earlier he got up, the better he could prepare for his date.
A faint smile drifted across his face as his eyes slipped shut, the smile disappearing shortly after.
He was rivals with Leon anyway, he could not allow the opposition to mess with his head and make him lose his game.
~*~
It was too late though.
Darian woke up to Leon hovering over him, silver eyes flashing in the dim room.
Darian cursed, reaching up to rub a hand over his face, hopefully this was nothing but a figment of his imagination or better still a nightmare.
He wasn't sure how he felt about his brain coming up with very vivid images of Leon though.
But he couldn't, further investigation revealed that the sneaky bastard had tied his hands to the headboard, careful movements of his leg gave the same results.
He gritted his teeth at this, his irritation spilling over into anger, without hesitation he leaned back his head as far as lying flat on a bed with his limbs bound would allow and head bashed Leon.
The werewolf collapsed on him with a groan, cursing bloody murder as he rubbed at his head that no doubt smarted like a bitch.
"Leo, I'll say this once, get yourself and your ropes out of my room." He ordered in a steady voice.
Leon was still stunned from the head bashing Darian had given him that he couldn't even lift himself up, rolling to the side to get off him.
"Fuck." Leon cursed, cradling his head. "I'm not leaving and those are duct tapes." He somehow had the presence of mind to correct.
Darian had had enough, already irked by the fact that Leon had kissed him although he should already be over that.
Pissed, he flexed his arms, tugging on his wrists. The duct tapes snapped under the pressure and he calmly sat up to get off the ones tying down his legs too.
Leon finally recovered from the mind shattering hit that Darian had given him to find the other sitting and watching him quietly.
Nothing gave away his upset state except for his eyes which flashed a wicked silver.
Leon muttered the umpteenth curse under his breath, for some reason this idea had sounded awesome in his head.
Make Darian late for his date with Jaxie and tilt the tides in his favor, he had never said anything about playing fair anyway.
But he was starting to rethink that line of thought, fast.
