The girl even turned her head around to look at the AI floating next to her head.

Lai Jiayi blinked her eyes several times.
"Well, of course? The art is 2D, after all." Lai Jiayi shrugged.
"It's also a game...how can the targets not be a character designed by the game company?" she asked as if it's the most logical thing she could think of.
The AI was speechless.
'Well...it is true. That thought isn't wrong, but...this game isn't just any ordinary dating sim game ah…'
Upon knowing what Lai Jiayi thought of, the AI covered his eyes with one of his yellow wings.
'Ahhh, no wonder she didn't say anything earlier! She thought the targets weren't a real guy!'
The AI sighed before sadly delivering what Lai Jiayi had to know. "...the target...is someone in real life, quack. He's the REAL Zhao Yang, quack..."
His voice was so soft that Lai Jiayi almost couldn't hear it clearly, yet the girl was still able to catch the overall meaning of the sentence.
Once Lai Jiayi thought of the information she got, the girl's jaw dropped to the floor.
Lai Jiayi: 🙂🙃
"WHAT DID YOU SAAAYY???" The girl abruptly stood up and grabbed the AI's neck. She shouted like it's the end of the world with her eyes opened wide.
"It's real? The target is a real man? And not to mention it's the famous young CEO, the prince of technology???"
"Y-yes, quack! Your target is Zhao Yang, someone real, not an NPC– quack! He's really that CEO from Zhao Company!" the AI was half-crying as he answered in a hurry.
He didn't feel bad for having his contractor almost strangled him, but…
He wanted to cry because his contractor just knew about this!!
'How can this girl think of the game as a normal dating sim game?? It's impossible, isn't it??'
Once his words reached Lai Jiayi's ears, she opened her mouth wide and stared in a daze at the AI.
Her whole body froze as if someone pressed a pause button on her body, instantly made the AI have a heart attack.
"Girl?? Girl, hey, quack?? Quack, hello??" The AI pecked Lai Jiayi's nose with his beak, trying to snap the girl out of her daze, but it didn't work.
It seemed that the news was just too much for the girl.
Of course, it would be too much.
Lai Jiayi had a phobia of men, and even if she could hide it quite well outside, it still gave a burden to her mental health!
Now, this stupid game forced her to chase after a guy, a tough guy on top of that or...her father would die.
'NO ONE TELL ME THE TARGET WILL BE A REAL MAN, AH!!'
"F*ck!!" Lai Jiayi suddenly resumed her action and flung the AI to the air. Her body broke free from the pause motion, but it really took a lot of energy.
Just as she flung the AI away from her grip, the girl fell to the bed with a loud THUD sound.
"Quack!! Blasphemy– " The AI's face turned red, a steam flood from his nose. He was about to attack his contractor when he saw Lai Jiayi collapsing on the bed.
Her complexion wasn't good, and she looked really shocked with her jaw touching the bed.
Once he saw his contractor turned out to be in bad shape, the AI couldn't help but ask softly, "Uh...are you quackay?"
'Does the fact that the target she has to chase is a real guy deal a huge blow to her mind?'
Lai Jiayi only blinked softly as an answer.
"Hah, am I okay? NO, I'M NOT!!!" she shouted.
'How can someone with a phobia of men like me end up chasing after a man one day??'
'This...isn't this absurd??'
The girl cried in her heart. She buried her head to the pillow and stopped moving.
Seeing Lai Jiayi didn't reply anymore and just laid on the bed motionlessly, the AI grew anxious.
This girl looked like a broken doll without a will to live!
'This is bad. I have to do something to cheer her up…else she might lose even before playing!'
'If she loses...I will die!! This girl's father will also die! Everyone will die! QUAAAACKKK!!'
This girl was already in the game, after all! She couldn't just withdraw!
