"Stop! Stop talking. It's my fault asking advice to you," Lai Jiayi suddenly shouted as she sat down on the bed feeling tired.
'I shouldn't ask anything to this dumb AI. How could he advise her to use scenes in CEO novels?'
That's...pure idiot!
Seeing Lai Jiayi refuse to listen to his advice, the AI flew toward Lai Jiayi with eyes dropped low.
In a hoarse voice as if about to cry, he said, "Then...what will you do, quack?"
If his brilliant ideas weren't good in this girl's mind, then...what was considered good?
Lai Jiayi raised one eyebrow and said indifferently, "Forget it. We can find a way later. For now...tell me what else should I do after choosing the target?"
The girl rubbed her chin as she continued, "Surely, I still have to do something before the game starts, no?"
What she said was actually true. They hadn't done all the steps to start the game, after all.
The AI hurriedly answered, "Oh quackey...next, you have to choose a job. See the job option there, quack? Click it –quack." The AI became a bit docile.
Lai Jiayi couldn't help but tilt her head.
'This never happened in any of the dating sim games I played before!'
"Job? For what? Don't tell me the job is also a real job…" the girl suspiciously probed.
'If the game company could arrange a job for the players...the company might be bigger than I thought!'
The AI had the urge to slap Lai Jiayi's head as she asked too much, but actually this was a good characteristic.
'This girl is cautious enough to question everything! Okay, this lord will answer. Gladly!'
The AI immediately spoke in a lazy tone, "We need a job as a way to approach the target without him getting suspicious, quack." He blinked his eyes before resuming.
"The players also can't approach the target outside their job time, so...yeah, please get a good one, quack!"
He spoke as if Lai Jiayi had good luck so far.
Seeing the AI treated this matter leisurely, the girl couldn't help but roll her eyes in annoyance.
'Anyway, using a job as a way to approach the target? Good idea, applause for the game company. This will prevent the target from becoming suspicious of their pursuers.'
Even though Lai Jiayi praised the company, there's still one thing bugging her mind.
"The players can't approach or interact with the target outside their job time?" she asked.
"Mn…"
"So, there will be a limitation in how they interacted with the target each day??" Lai Jiayi's eyes widened.
"Yes, quack!"
'Why the hell is this game so cruel??'
Lai Jiayi gritted her teeth and asked again, feeling like cursing whoever created the game,
"What will happen if a player approaches or interacts with the target outside their job? Will there be a penalty or something?"
The AI's expression suddenly changed. He turned serious all of a sudden and spoke in a low, menacing tone,
"Don't ever think to break this rule, quack, else you will automatically be eliminated."
"Eliminated?"
"Once eliminated, you lose instantly, quack! GAME OVER QUACK!"
The last part the AI said made Lai Jiayi didn't know what to say.
"Such strict rules? Doesn't this mean I have to get a good job that can constantly interact with the target for a long time??"
Rolling on the bed again, the AI nodded as he spoke, "That's why please get a good job in the spin later, quack!" The AI pleaded.
He then paused to think of something for a while before speaking again, "Well, if the target is the one having the initiative to approach you...it is okay, quack~"
He hoped this would be the case if somehow Lai Jiayi got the worst job ever.
"...okay. Getting the job will also be through a spin, right?" Lai Jiayi subconsciously gulped, "Let me see the job lists now." She immediately clicked the job section.
Since she got the worst target...she should at least get a rather good job.
'Wait, it's a real job, so will I get paid?'
Lai Jiayi looked at the AI, but even before she asked, the AI already knew what she wanted to ask. He had access to her mind, after all.
"Quayes! You will be paid quack. Satisfied, quack??" The AI rolled his eyes impatiently.
'To think that my contractor is so stingy. Damn it!'
Dumbfounded, Lai Jiayi finger, which was about to scroll over the job list, paused. Her eyes widened in shock as she looked at the AI.
"You can read my mind? That's too much of a coincidence!" She suddenly got goosebumps.
'Is this AI really that high-tech to be able to read her mind?
The AI answered lazily as if it wasn't anything new, "Yeah, I can, quack. Our mind is connected ever since I planted the mark, quack…we can even do telepathy."
The AI raised one of his eyebrows, "Wanna try, quack?" He asked, challenging Lai Jiayi to prove his words.
'...oh wow.'
"No, thanks." Lai Jiayi laughed sheepishly. She turned her focus to the phone almost immediately.
Her expression didn't change, and the girl looked calm but inside, her heart was in turmoil.
'My mind is connected with this AI! Damn it. Damn!'
ISN'T THIS DANGEROUS???
