While dashing through the city like a true protector, he surveyed from above and allowed his sense to pick the most minor details. "Negative energy is released from a human's negative thoughts, words, actions, attitudes, and intentions." So he said to himself as his sense spiked, indicating a possible threat.
"A storm is brewing!" He said to himself, looking over at a cloud forming over a building. Then, leaping towards the cluster of dark negative energy forming, he could tell that this was not an ordinary fight. "This mass of energy." He said with utter disbelief.
Voom!
He passed through two commercial buildings while noticing the energy began forming. It seemed that phantoms started to emerge.
"I can't deal with it myself." He said as his senses began twitching. "This much energy? Impossible!" He stated as the thunder clapped through the storm. "This much mass, the threat this storm harbors is dangerous." He said as Hakai finally stood atop a skyscraper looking down in the storm.
Yet, he noticed a single phantom. He knew it posed a totally different threat from the others he had faced.
"Not even that speaking phantom was on this level!" He shouted as his newly acquired weapon appeared in his right hand. Then, taking a step forward, he fell from the skyscraper and landed feet away from the apprehensive phantom that had already started to rampage.
"Ahh!" It roared as it looked around for any humans. "Food!" It demanded as if it was left to starve.
"This thing is massive!" He shouted while looking up. "It must be well over forty feet!" He said with a surprised expression while gripping his katana with both hands.
"Ehh, this thing is taking a lot of energy!" He screamed as he looked up. "It must be starving for more negativity." He uttered, surprised. "I need to do something." He gulped down his salvia, not wanting any of its hits to connect. "This spirit seems to have a lot of physical potential!" He shouted as he closed his right eye, seemingly preparing it for using his unique teleportation ability. "I need to channel as much energy possible to my eyes so that I can use my visual prowess." He noted to himself as he kept his right closed.
Shkeen!
He looked up at the spirit's head. "Eww!" He remarked as his body vanished. This creature had four eyes, no nose, and a mouth that extended from side to side. "My physical energy has depleted this much?" He asked himself as he held out his sword into the sky. Before he could even bring it down, an arm formed from the flesh of the spirit. Under his feet, it reached out and aimed for his neck at an incredible speed. "Ah!" He screamed as the hand grabbed him by the throat. Swinging him around, it let loose and threw Hakai at a building.
Slam!
Hakai's back impacted the building, leaving a big dent. "Kaa!" He uttered in agony. All while, several arms came hurtling his way.
Boof!
Bam!
Boom!
Multiple arms crashed into the building, hanging onto Hakai as it took him to the next room.
"Ah!" He agonized as the arm picked him up in the air and slammed him down to the ground. "Ahh!" He screamed in pain as his visual prowess was finally ready again. "Why did it take so long?" He asked himself while another arm tried punching him down.
Shkeen!
He luckily had his visual prowess back in time, teleporting out of harm's way. He walked out of harm's way while his katana was still in his hand. "What a troublesome ability!" He thought to himself while walking out of the broken wall. "He can form anything with his body." Hakai assessed as he looked at the spirit, who retracted the arms into its body.
This time, staring directly at Hakai, it formed a canon-like extension from its body. Likewise, charging up a massive amount of energy into a single point created a ball of negative energy.
"Bad news!" He shrieked as he stood up straight. "Gotta get out of here!" he told himself as he tried to leap away but felt a sudden tuck on his body. "It's grabbing me?" He asked himself while looking down to find two of the extended arms it formed holding onto him. Then, another two arms grabbed hold of his arms, restricting him from swinging his katana. "So close..." Hakai uttered as a spec of blood came running down his nose.
Binng!
The phantom built massive energy to a single point.
"I can't tank this!" Hakai struggled while looking at the energy cannon. "Getaway!" He screamed while he took every bit of physical energy he harnessed to his eyes. "Move. Move. Move!" He called as he closed his right eye.
"Ahhh!" The spirit roared as it seemed ready to launch its attack.
"This attack! It's potent enough to take this block along with it!" Hakai stated as he looked back towards the city.
"I wish I was more powerful!" He screamed at himself with disappointment.
Boom!
The phantom launched an attack projectile from the cannon at a tremendous rate.
