Chapter 3 - Chapter 2: Fusion Of Evil

Hakai launched himself towards the now one evil spirit. Then, at an insane speed, he cut off its left arm. His eyes glimmered with a red beam as he landed on the ground.

The vile beast stepped back, realizing what had happened to its body. "Haa!" Screamed the evil spirit as it discharged a massive blow towards the standing Hakai.

Shkeen!

He used his mystical eyes to teleport behind the spirit. Then, slowly lifting its arms off the ground, it looked down and found nothing there.

"Gah!" It sounded in confusion as it looked behind itself.

Staring directly at Hakai, suspended in air, it swung its remaining arm, managing to grab the afterimage. Then, slowly opening its hand, it once again found nothing there. "Ahh!" The vile spirit roared in anger.

"Another brainless spirit, huh?" He asked himself as he stood atop its head.

As the evil spirit regenerated its left arm back, it looked around in a rush for Hakai.

"Pierce them behind the head and enchant the Expelling spell." He said to himself with a song-like rhythm. "Daggers Of Calamity." He shouted as the pair of short daggers appeared in his hands. Then, lifting them high, he swung while enchanting.

"Evil spirits, created to destroy, vanish." Hakai enchanted as the blades pierced through the spirit's head, which swung its arms towards its neck in the last defense effort.

"Ah!" It groaned in pain as the array of different lights shone throughout its body, instantly taking a piece of its flesh along with it as it flew up to the sky. Then a spell circle and a wheel of divine writing appeared above it, diminishing the phantom to thin air.

"Hmph, took a good hit," Hakai remarked as the daggers in his hands vanished. "Not to mention, my eye's special abilities drain too much energy!" He said to himself as he held his hurt shoulder. "This body can't keep up with my abilities." He told himself as he walked away from the scene.

Damaged buildings and shops, flunked-out tiles, and broken windows resulted from the battle. Thankfully no human lives were lost. Content with the result, he kept walking through the lit streets of Tokyo, Japan—occasionally wobbling around and walking past people that seemed to pay no attention to his existence. "Hmm, hmm. I wished I had friends." He said to himself as he looked back in the direction of four high schoolers. Laughing and spending the night away, he kept his eyes on the group while walking ahead. Though he was envious of the humans', his heart had no sign of jealousy.

"I need to get to Ama-Chan's shrine!" He told himself as he groaned in pain. "I need her healing prayer." He informed himself as his eyelids became heavy. "Did I expend too much energy?" He told himself while trying to keep his eyes open. "I only fought four evil spirits today, so what's the matter?" He asked himself as he began to wobble more. Falling onto the solid concrete, he looked to the lake beside him. Unable to utter a word, an unknown presence walked up to him shouting.

"Are you okay? What happened?" Asked a soothing voice.

"It's a girl. It must be. Her voice's soft." He told himself as he looked up to see her face close to his. "Who are you?" He asked her as he reached out his right arm and held her left cheek.

Blushing, the girl grabbed his hand off her face and asked him once again. "What happened?"

"A human? How can she see me?" He asked himself as his world dimmed and his eyes shut close.

"He passed out?" She asked herself as she placed her hands on his neck. "His heart rate is abnormal." So she said to herself as she looked around for help, but only found two older women staring at her with disgust while gossiping closely.

"What is she doing? Is she crazy?" One said as she whispered loudly.

"Seems like it. Who is she talking to?" The other lady asked.

"There is nothing there. She must be crazy. Hurry, let's get out of here." Said the first lady as the two strolled away in a rush.

Confused and shaken by their comments. The mysterious high school girl looked down at the knocked-out Hakai with disbelief. "What are you?" She asked the passed-out Hakai while standing up.
