Chapter 5 - Weegee's Mansion

"Aye yo, any luck on your side?"

"I'm afraid not."

Both Edward and Noah were trying to open the door to no avail.

"Well this is a total disregard to hospitality."

"May I ask, do we really deserve such a thing after barging inside?"

"Aye, you make great points pal." Edward stopped trying to force the door and looked around the rest of the entrance. "Perhaps the other paths aren't as though."

Noah followed his creator's suggestions and approached the door to the right. "Shall we go through this one Sir Edward?"

"Nah," Edward answered, making a circle with his hand. "Shit like this always works counterclockwise."

"Really?"

"Nah I just like the left more, gives me good vibes."

"...Very well then…"

Edward approached the door and slowly opened it.

*Creeeeak*

"Surprise motherfuckers…." Edward peaked behind the door.

Beyond, there was a long hallway and the only source of light were the various windows located at one side, and the other was filled with numerous doors and decorative armors. The floor had seen better days and the long rug that was over it reeked of moss and other types of vegetation.

Edward's expression turned to one of dissatisfaction as he stared at the hallway.

"Noah."

The crusader entered the room "Yes?"

"Don't let that door clo-"

*Dun*

"OH FOR FUCKS SAKE-"

"I am sorry Sir Hyde."

Edward had a hand over his face, hiding an annoyed expression behind it.

"Ugh, don't be." He muttered in annoyance. "We have other fucking problems to worry about."

"May I ask what are these problems?"

Edward partially withdrew his hand from over his face to look at Noah.

"Look out the window pal."

Noah walked to the closest window and looked outside.

"...This doesn't look good at all…"

"No. Shit."

Outside, Noah could see that the poorly kept yard was changed by a fully-developed forest filled with twisted and curved trees and bushes, many of which lacked any kind of vegetation on them.

"Well, might as well explore the place."

Hyde approached one of the many doors and kicked it down, revealing a tattered victorian game room, decorated with mossy chairs and an old billiard table in the middle of it.

Without a second to lose, Edward started looting up the room.

"Sir, is it really necessary to loot the place?"

"Loot is loot."

[Obtained 15 Billiard balls]

[Obtained 1 White Billiard ball]

[Obtained 2 Billiard sticks]

After that, Hyde repeated the same process with the next room, this one being a wardrobe.

[Obtained 1 old cloak]

[Obtained 1 top hat]

[Obtained 1 monocle]

[Obtained 1 walking cane]

Then again…

[Obtained 10 Old Books]

[Obtained 1 candle...]

"...Sir Hyde, you should perhaps drop some items."

Edward turned around, almost dropping the snowglobe that was dangerously resting on top of the several hats that he wore and staring at Noah with a stone-made mask resting on the left side of his face.

"Nah, I'm good."

"Sir even I can notice that your mobility is severely reduced, it would be wise to drop at least some items."

"I said I'm good!"

"Very well, but may I suggest storing them inside your-"

*Creek*

"You said something?"

"...I shall tell you later."

The duo went forward, reaching a large victorian living room.

The room was composed of a common area, a fireplace and a grand mirror at the left side of the room besides a door.

At the other end hung a gigantic, damaged painting with two decorative, bulky knight armors, one on each side.

Between these two extremes were various columns with sources of light resting on them.

"Huh," Edward dropped most of his collected loot on the floor, only keeping the two billiard sticks and the top hat. "That 's weird."

"What is it Sir?"

He pointed with his gloved hand at the door beside the grand mirror.

"The door is already open, and we all know what that means."

"...Trouble?"

Edward turned to face Noah directly, slowly nodding.

"Mmmmmmmmmmhm."

Noah, without a second to lose, readied his guns and placed himself behind Edward, covering his back.

"Sir, may I ask if you know how to fight?"

"I can beat the shit out of people and not feel remorse, is that enough?"

"That will have to do for now."

They remained in that position for a solid ten seconds, until they realized…

"...Sir, you haven't touched the open door yet, right?"

"Nnnnope."

"Would you please do so?"

"Ye sure."

Edward approached the open door and waved at it, yet the supposed trap would still not activate.

"..."

Edward looked back at Noah, this one immediately getting what the madlad was about to do.

"Sir please don't."

"Noah, I will see you on the other side."

"Sir please do NOT."

"OKAY GUYS LET'S DO THIS."

"I BEG of you-!"

"EEEEEEEEEEDWAAAAAAAARD HYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYDE!!!"

Followed by the battlecry, Edward charged into the room, the door locking behind him.

*Dun*

'Oh my Lord, he just ran in…!'

*Clank clank*

Followed by the locking of the door, a metallic sound echoed, as the two armors came to live, ready to fight.

Noah aimed his guns at the armors.

'Sir Hyde, please wait for me.'
