Chapter 8 - Weegee's Mansion 4 (The End of the Quest)

"Let's fucking do this!" Edward said excitedly as he opened the door.

After they opened the door, they found themselves in a... surprisingly well-kept bed room. The walls a pale white and the chandelier in the middle of the room emanating a considerable amount of light, unlike the other rooms in the decrepit mansion, this one looked very well-maintained and spacious.

"Damn, fancy shit" Edward commented as he relaxed, taking a moment to appreciate the decoration.

"I must say," Said Noah as he quickly inspected the room from top to bottom. "This seems like the master bedroom."

"Indeed, you're right" Said a feminine voice, as if mocking the duo. "These are my humble chambers, and yet you seem to have arrived univited."

"Well excuuuse me." Edward said in a sarcastic tone.

"Ugh, It is always like this," as the voice spoke, Edward and Noah saw a figure appear in front of them. "You adventurers are all the same, breaking in without warrant and just THRASHING up my place."

Looking closer, they noticed that the figure was that of a woman in her mid-20's wearing what appeared to be a long night gown, her black hair moving as if defying gravity itself while her "well-compensated" body floated idly a few inches from the floor. Her facial features appearing as those from a greek sculpture, yet her gray, dead eyes looked at the pair with a mixture of disdain, annoyance and boredom.

"Well first of all we HAVE a warrant." Edward said while raising a finger, his voice boasting with entitlement that soon fell into mundanity as he raised another finger. "And second, this place is already trashed the, fuck you on?"

"Well last time I checked it took money to fix things up, yet I cannot do anything if I need to take care of adventurers breaking into my house bi-weekly." The ghost said matter-of-factly as she shrugged her shoulders in an uncaring voice.

"That is indeed a complex situation." Noah said while nodding. "I can understand why you would be mad against adventurers..."

"Question is," said Edward in a confused tone. "Why the fuck do you allow them to get in!? I can at least see you can do some hilly billy magic shit to lock people from reaching the outside, yet I cannot fucking see you doing the reverse and just barricading yourself."

"And you think I haven't tried!? Are you fucking kidding me!?" The ghost answered back in an enraged manner. "I can control most things that happen INSIDE this mansion, yet I cannot control anything outside of it!"

"Just do it, it's not that hard."

As Edward said this, the ghostly lady scuffed as she waved a hand in front of her, her expression that of someone who was just done talking.

"I can see you are braindead, so let's stop the chit chat. I'll just murder you both and turn you into my zombie servants."

"Didn't know someone could possibly be into that kind of shit," Edward said in a mocking tone.

"Alright that's it! You both are as good as dead!"

With a raise of her hand, both Noah and Edward noticed a surge in power, followed by the sound of wind being cut.

Both Noah and Edward noticed what was going to happen just in time to duck and evade a deadly horizontal strike.

"When asked who killed you, tell them Magram Hannah sent you!"

"No way in fucking hell am I saying that shit!"

As Edward and Magram kept discussing, Noah brandished his dual eagles and started shooting Magram.

As the bullets impacted onto her body, Magram couldn't help but reveal a look of pain and a grunt as she dove into the floor, dodging the rest of the bullets.

"Lad, can ye lend me one of your guns really quick?" Asked Edward as he stretched his hand.

Without another word, Noah handed one of his dual eagles and signaled Edward to stay alert.

After receiving the gun from Noah, Edward decided to go near the bedroom's door.

" Think I will let you escape? " As Edward placed his hand on the doorknob, he felt as if a cold thing grabbed his hand, looking down he saw a semi-transparent hand tightly grabbing his hand, and Magram's face emerged from beyond the door with a sinister smile.

However, her smile faded as she saw the twisted smile coming from Edward.

"Yipee Kay Jay motherfucker."

*Pow Pow*

With two swift presses of the trigger, he aimed at Magram, shooting at her left shoulder and neck.

Although the shots were at point blank, Magram didn't react as strongly as before, and chose to strike Edward before retreating.

Going back to Noah, Edward handed back the gun and went on alert as he looked around the room.

"I think I know what this bitch's deal is"

Without dropping his guard, Noah gave a quick nod and a grunt to Edward, signaling him to continue.

"This hoe is a ghost, so physical attacks aren't really her cup o' tea, however magic-infused attacks seem to do the trick, which is why..."

Edward turned his head towards Noah, and said in a decisive tone.

"Use taunt on her."

As he heard this, a quizical look appeared on Noah's face.

"Sir, why should I do that?"

"It's because of how you bloody taunt" Edward explained. "Your way of taunting should do the trick against this Ghostbusters wannabe."

"... Very well, I'll do my best" Noah said in agreement, a decisive nod showing his sincerity.

As he saw Noah get ready, he couldn't help but remember something from his past...

= = =

The crusader class.

The crusader class was one that focused on being the team's shield, being able to intercept attacks from enemies to teammates and countering back the enemy attacks, also making them a reliable DPS. Their various skills focusing on either becoming better tanks or improving their DPS.

One of the most important skills for a crusader was the taunt skill, a skill that made all enemies attack the skill's caster on their respective turn.

However, Noah Bismarck's taunt skill was a bit special, because the way it was cast made it unique in its field.

"Lord father which art in heaven..." As Noah spoke, he took out the Bible on his waist and opened it. "Hallowed be thy name,..."

As Noah said this words, there was a surge of energy emanating from him and bathing the room.

Now because of the normal effects of this taunt skill, it would normally just trigger all enemies into attacking Noah, however in this world, it also had a hidden effect!

"WRYYYYYYY!!!"

As Noah kept reciting the lord's prayer, Magram fell from her hiding spot and was twisting in pain on the floor.

"W-What is this..."

"The cheesiest, most generic method of getting rid of you honey!" Edward said with a grin. "You're getting exorcised motherfucker!"

As she kept rolling in pain, Magram's screams became more desperate.

After a while, Edward signaled Noah to stop.

"Sir, why-"

"You'll know in just a moment." As Edward said this, he turned back at Magram, his voice taking a playful tone. "Nooooow that you've seen what we're capable of, how about we maaaake a deeeeal-"

"Name your price" Magram said, interrupting Edward, her tone a desperate one. "Just please get the fuck out of here, you want gold? Treasure? Items? Say it, I'll give them to you."

Raising a finger, Edward shook it and looked at Magram disappointingly. "Tsk Tsk Tsk, we unfortunately cannot do that, after all what I want is..."

His grin from ear to ear and his eyes shining with a blood red glow for a moment, Edward answered in a decisive and final tone.

"THIS FUCKIN' MANSION. "
