I looked at Rose and Sarah. "I'm sorry to have made you stressed, Lobak." Sarah came 8 minutes ago after Rose called to the receptionist. She's my doctor, after all.
"You don't have to." Rose helps me to sit and leaned my back to this headboard. "I already messed this situation up."
Sarah holds my hand tight. "I know you wouldn't do that, but she deserves to know."
"She already knew." I know Delinda for years. She will uploading about her feeling to the story or through a song.
Sarah picked my phone and she widen her eyes. "When?" She stared at my phone.
I looked at Rose, followed by Sarah. "I… don't know her name and what you were talking about." Rose strolled her way to the sofa.
I admit she's cute. Whenever I looked at that silly face, I smiled unconsciously. She made my heart beat so fast, but will she understand me? I took a deep breath. It's better she knew from me rather than she knew from her boss.
I gave her my wallet. "Can you… buy us a meal? You, Sarah, and I. Brings Hanks to drive for you." Rose furrowed her brow. We shouldn't share our PIN, even your wife. "The PIN is already inside my wallet." She nods, then leave us.
We should protect our private information, but what I did earlier is urgent. I had a guest, bed rest, and I don't have cash. "Smooth move, huh?" She put on her stethoscope to check on my heart.
"I will tell her everything when we already become us."
"Are you madly in love with her, Ms. Gabriela?" I shrugged my shoulder.
"What do you think?"
She rubbed my head. "You deserve to be happy, Lobak. I know you wouldn't do something except you have a reason." She hugged me. "Why you wouldn't tell her sooner? I-I mean, when both of you broke up?"
I don't want to talk about it, but whatever. The damage was already done.
"If I told her earlier, we will fight because I said like that. I'm missing for two months, I just want to thinking about our relationship and my family. That day, I just a highschool graduation."
Sarah keeps rubbed my hair. "I loved her, Sarah. For four years we've been together! She knows me well!" I took a deep breath. "I-I don't want to answer that question."
Sarah hugged me as she strokes my hair. "At least you should be honest with her! You can't hold it by yourself!"
She's right. Sarah let go of her hug because we heard someone entering my room. "Lobak…" Delinda was here? I opened my eyes, then looked at in front of me. I furrowed my brow. How she knew that I'm here?
Sarah packed her belongings. "I have another patient. Get well soon, darling."
This is awkward. "A-are you alright?" She puts a bucket of fruits on the top of the nightstand. She sits next to me and rubbed my hand.
"I'm fine."
She took a deep breath. "I'm sorry because I… forced you, Lobak.." She said.
I don't like to see her crying like this. "It's not your fault, Delinda. I get it. You only demand the answer."
"Can you tell me why you can't be honest with me?"
I wish I could rewind when Aoi asked me to pick her at the bookstore. I don't care if we got into a big fight that day and broke up. Whenever I posting my SnapChat about my mental health, she asked me several times.
I can't be honest with her because she already broke my trust. I saw it several times. Her affair with her husband, I think it happened when she already graduated.
"Because I can't trust you." We stared into each other eyes. "Your affair. I already saw it everything."
Flashback on
I walked to her class with a present on my hand. Today, it's her birthday. I can't wait to see her surprised face. "Ah, Lobak!" Siska? Did she not drinks her meds? I don't know if her has a good mood.
"I don't have time with your…" she pulled me to the corridor. I widened my eyes and suddenly I can't breathe.
"I hope you understand why Delinda is always going home late. I already warned you from the start, but you wouldn't listen!"
I took a deep breath and smiled. "It's our problem. Not yours." I walked to the staircase and stopped. "Before I leave, I don't want you intervened in my relationship, Ms. Siska Putri Purwono. I love her, but till when? Let we fixed our problem."
I gripped tight my gift and took a deep breath. I can't breathe. What she did to her is unforgiveable. She technically cheated on me.
My heart pounding fast, my eyes burned and tears fall. It's funny, you know. You are the one who tries hard, but other people steal your girl. Suwijo Tejo was right, this world sometimes like to joke.
"Lobak? Are you okay?" Oh shit!
I wiped my tears. "I just… miss you." She pinched both sides of my cheeks.
I gave her a box. "What is this?" She lets go of her hand from my cheek.
"It's your graduation present from me. I know it's not expensive as always, but I bought it for you. Hope you like it and useful for the future."
She opened the present and widen her eyes. "Are you serious?! This is…" She hugged me tight. "Thank you. I will use it!"
I don't know where it goes after this. Will our love standing tall or sink to the bottom of the ocean? God knows what happened next.
Flashback off
"I…"
I smiled bitterly and looked at her in the face. "You get what you want, and I get what I want." Right, it's a tough decision to make.
"I-I'm sorry. I…"
I shook my head. I looked at the fruit on the top of the nightstand. "You knew I like to consume fruits whenever I got sick. I bet you already told your husband about this, right?" Judging from her expression. I'm right.
"W-what do you want me to do, then?" I lifted my head.
"Save your apologize to your husband, not me." She's my best employee. "You can send me your resignation letter, or we forget about it like nothing happened between us."
I don't know that was the best decision I made for her. Delinda grabbed her handbag and leave my room without a word.
