Chapter 4 - Chapter 19: A Day Without Work (Part 2)

I sit next to her and passed her a blanket. "This is your hiding spot?" I nodded. "It's beautiful up there."

"Sometimes you should go climb to get a best view."

She lay her head on my chest. I put my arms around her waist and we saw this beautiful scenery from here. "I was a victim of sexual assault." She straightened her body.

"I saw your name at one of his collections." She widens her eyes. "My lawyer and I decide to sweeping the chain commando first from the bottom." Her face sweating.

"What d-did you do to him next?" She asked.

"I filled a lawsuit." Rose looks at me. "I'm his boss. Don't worry about that again, okay?" I stroked her hair. I can feel my shoulder wet.

"Thank you."

You shouldn't thank me, Rose. I let go of our hug and wiped her tears with my thumb. It breaks my heart whenever to see her cry.

I opened a can of soda, then passed it to her. "I can't drink this on my own." She pours the soda into the empty plastic glass.

She puts her head on my shoulder. "I don't know your story." She said.

"I had an ex, and she dumped me for another person."

The sky seems bright tonight. "Chasing stars?" I looked at her.

"Maybe. You know the rest."

She shook her head and wiped her tears. "There's a lot people out there who can loved your more than she did, right? Why you have to choose to harm yourself?" She asked.

Her question makes me tied my tongue. "I don't know." I burped.

I forgot to tell her. "Where were you going?" She followed me to the back.

I open my baggage and sit inside. "Sleep. I…" I cover my mouth.

"Oh, I thought we will get going again or go home." She followed me inside and sit next to me. We shared the blanket.

Moon light up her skin through the sunscreen. I rubbed her cheek with my thumb. A lot of question inside my head. "Rose." She hummed. "How you did not feel depressed about everything? I feel depressed every day and…" I bite my lip.

She raised her eyebrow and grabbed my hand. "You will figure it out, Lobak." I furrowed my brow. "Try to open your heart to someone who always stays beside you. Sad or happiness, healthy or sick…" my eyes feel heavy and Rose's voice fades as I only can see darkness.

I blink several times because I heard a beeping sound from my phone. It's 4.30 AM. I should get going. "You wake up?" Right, I'm sleeping next to her,

"Yeah, let's go home. Do you want McDonald's or we breakfast at home? You look tired."

She hugs me tight. Whenever she hugs me, my heart never stops to race. It's the first time in a year. I respond to her hug and stroke her hear. "I want to spending time more with you," she lower her tone.

I picked my phone and inform my new secretary that I will take a day off for a while. I should postpone all the meeting that happened today.

"You can't leave your work?

She opened her eyes. "No," I tidying her hair. "I informing my secretary that I will be absent today." I said.

"If I…" I kissed her lips. What I hate about her is her mouth. She's annoying as fuck if we argue.

"I have meetings today, but it's Friday. Who's want to attend a meeting on Friday, right?"

Rose punched my shoulder and chuckled. "You." She said. "You are the most workaholic person I've ever met. I have a lot of rich clients, but they are not as workaholic as you!" Rose unbuttoned my shirt.

I hold her hand and stared. "W-we should know the boundaries that we should never cross." She pushed me.

"You should sleep 32 centimeters away from me and don't hug me for no reason."

What? I hugged you?! "You should correct your statement, Ms. Salsabila. You, the one who hugged me."

She laughed and shook her head. "I just kidding, Lobak." She grabbed my hand and pulled me closer. "I don't have any trouble with boundaries. As long as it's still respectful, I'm okay with that." She said with a big smile draw on her face.

I took a deep breath and sit. I feel tense in back and neck. "What if we check-in to this hotel?" She raised her eyebrow.

"Did you just… say want to continue that activity?"

I facepalmed after she asked me. We're not influenced by alcohol, but why she's asking like that?! "I'm sleepy. My back hurt, my neck tense, and I forgot to bring my anti-mosquito repellent."

She hummed.

Some people in my country believes that my blood was sweet. "You have sweet blood, aren't you? What is your blood type?" She believes in typical stereotypes.

I stretched my muscle as we were already outside of my car. I heard a cracking sound from my bone. The pain hasn't disappeared. I can still feel it. "A-. How about you?"

She keeps wrap her body with a blanket. I put my arms surround her waist and pulled her closer. "Let's go. I know you're not get used to waking up at this hour."

We walked to the lobby with Rose put her head on my shoulder. "We can't split our bill, right?" I'm chuckling.

She's right. We can't split our bill. "This trip is my treat because I asked you to have a sleepover with me." I opened the emergency door.

Lobby is under the parking lot. I often visit this hotel since I was a child. Just say it, I'm their regular visitor. My family often has a staycation at this hotel. If we were lazy to go home, we choose this hotel. Also in front of them there's a city park, near to tourist attraction, highway, police station, a mall, and many public transportations, and a lot of more.

What a memory. "Lobak, is that you?" I turned my head and saw a male figure approached me. "Long time no see. Do you still recognize me?" O-oh, I think… I know him.
