Genevieve looked at her sister, worried. After the great revelation, she was more hurt than shocked. Irene had always been honest with her but to say that she had hidden such a huge secret from her was in fact, troubling.
Couldn't she have hinted at something, at least? It wasn't like Genevieve was going to reveal it to the whole world. She knew her limits and Irene knew that pretty damn well.
As if reading her mind, Irene shook her head.
"I couldn't tell you earlier," She said, wrapping her arms around herself. "I only read the fifth letter because of Karl."
"What?" The three of them said at once, looking at her, alarmed.
Irene nodded, a grave expression on her face. "Karl knows we're our father's children and not his nieces. He asked me to give up on my claim to becoming the CEO of Silver Inc."
