Ezekiel slid the book he was reading across the desk, frustrated. He brought his hands to his eyes, massaging them gently to get rid of the sleepiness that was clouding them. There wasn't any time to sleep but he couldn't help the natural tendency to do so as well.
Irene, on the other hand, was fully engrossed in an old parchment she had found between some of the books. Ezekiel had noticed that she had become quieter after they found out about her birthmark. It didn't bother him much, what she was thinking, but it would be a lie if he said he wasn't curious.
"Coffee?" He asked, not being able to suppress the yawn that escaped his mouth.
Irene glanced up at him for the first time since they had locked themselves in the study.
"You should get some sleep, Mr Jiang," She said, raising an eyebrow.
"I'll be fine after a cup of coffee," He replied, standing up and stretching his sore muscles. "It's Ezekiel, by the way."
