Doctor Severus had been wandering in the room with a worrisome face, when a knock at the door resonated and he permitted the person to walk in.
"Come in!"
As soon as the sensors present in the room detected his voice the glass door dissipated, and a slender woman in her twenties walked inside.
"Mary!"
The old man chirped excitedly hoping to hear any good news from the girl, while he immediately walked back to his chair and plopped in.
"Did anything happen? Are the Martians willing for a trade? Or perhaps the king needs something?"
The man inquired about any room which would help him to get back to Mars.
Since the gates of Mars had been kept closed until there was some trade, festival or anything important. And it became nearly impossible for doctor Severus to simply take a ship and fly to Mars without any reason.
The woman shook her head in dismissal and informed her boss with a straight face.
"No sir, there are no slim chances for us to visit them."
She was clad in a black dress which in turn had a coating of waves, to prevent any attack of energy and to absorb it.
"Fuck! That can't be."
Doctor Severus yelled in rage as he smacked his fists on the table, the girl did not flinch upon his rash act.
"You are going to find a way to arrange a meeting with the Martians,"
The man pointed out at the girl.
"I have to meet my son, Mary! Out of all the people, you know how important it is to me."
The girl who looked exactly like Axela who was Jeremy's AI, nodded without any expression on her face.
"Yes, sir!"
She turned around and dismissed herself, whereas the man had been panting when a visible black smoke emerged from his hands.
And it got absorbed in his nostrils as he inhaled deeply and upon opening his eyes, doctor Severus had red eyes with a dark intent in his expression.
'I have to find him and bring him here. He is only allowed to see what I want him to visualize.'
The man's eye color returned to normal after a few minutes, and he settled himself back in he chair. Whereas outside the room Mary walked through the arcade where a flying bot followed her as her pet.
"Not now, Rex."
She headed straight towards her cell which was precisely her bedroom. The girl rebuked the bot and after leaving Severus' cabin some lines creased on her forehead.
Mary slumped herself in the bed while the whirring continued and adjusted the light in her cell. It seemed like a small pod from outside with a small door, while the space inside was terrifically big.
The illumination in the cell was done with some unknown element in the periodic table, which was only found in doctor Severus' region. So, he had a benefit of selling it to others without selling his secrets.
"I don't even know why he wants to find that man,"
Mary started talking to the bot which was no big than a pupa, and was also a combination of machine with utmost intelligence embedded in its programming.
"I mean that little boy is not even his own son, if that's the case his son would have been in his mid twenties by now."
The girl was the trustworthy secretary of doctor Severus, although many of the pals died or chose their directions after they were pushed in the void along with the doctor.
Severus had chosen to built and re-create the heights for the humanity, then he found that planet Xenas after the survivors left the void. He united with the poor natives and promised them the food and wealth.
In the midst of nowhere he fell from the sky and the people put their faiths in him, and after the first spike of prosperity they began to worship him as a godly figure.
"You know we all have heard his story and all that experimental stuff, but that kid being his son simply doesn't make any sense."
The bot squeak and the code language was translated in Mary's head, that's how she could communicate with it. Everyone on planet Xenas who was on some important spot was given such personalized bot.
Only the owner knew the language and the translators were fitted in both communicators, well except doctor Severus who could comprehend all those languages. The man was the highest in superiority and the people had been indebt to him ever since his arrival.
"Something is amiss, Rex."
She had no clue about the presence of Axela, which was the key to all the things. Perhaps doctor Severus himself had no clue how or what his creation had been doing.
Since he hadn't been in touch with his AI too, and now that Severus had gotten some clues about Jeremy's whereabouts thing had been becoming difficult.
"Do you think he really wants to meet that boy, just because he suspects that he is his son. Or perhaps doctor has some other plans?"
She shot up from the bed and held the bot in between her hands like a pet dog.
"Something big, maybe. After all I have never seen him so desperate before."
The bot squeak again, while Mary stared outside the window and a utopian image was in front of her eyes.
