Chapter 35 - Air Bending

"Come, I will take you."

Burton had to fulfil his responsibility and took Jeremy inside the building.

[Beware of the surroundings here, Jeremy.]

'I got it, babe. But are you okay now?'

Jeremy no doubt was concerned about her, partially because he realized her importance. Indeed her existence was a blessing for him, since Artemis had survived twice with her help.

Or else his essence would have died back there when Jerome cloned him. At that moment somewhere in a part of his brain, Jeremy's memories were still alive but buried.

[Of course! I'm totally fine, although I don't know how you do that. But it was impressive.]

'Great! I really, really missed you, girl!'

Artemis sounded happy as he walked behind Burton, and they both passed through the front hall. Jeremy had keenly observed the whole damn building and all he could spot was just glass of some strange type.

[Duh! I accept your apology since you have made it up for that.]

'Haha! Still grumpy with me, uh.'

A smirk appeared on his face while Burton stole a few glances at Artemis. No wonder everyone was shocked to see such an unusual strength coming from him.

Whereas the headmaster had rushed to his cabin, after all he had to inform the king about the progress. His excitement was definitely not because he was happy, but he wanted to attain some credits and benefits for that.

He stood in the middle of the room when all the walls again turned white, and his silhouette began to float in the air as the old man started to meditate.

The air around him began to gather around his body and coiled like waves, the headmaster opened his eyes  and nodded. Whereas the snake of air floated towards the walls and crept outside by the small spaces.

"Let's see what the Martian king has to say about his son excelling in the trial exam."

No doubt there was nj trial examination and the storm was created by Heremy himself.

But the headmaster played it wrong and portrayed prince Artemis with some potential for learning the artwork. He was happy with his act and dusted his hands off as the air travelled all the way to the castle.

On the other hand Jeremy Grayson was allotted a room and the glass door vanished as soon as he stood in front of it.

"Only you can open the door, your highness. And apart from you only the headmaster has access to all the dorms and rooms."

Artemis nodded and walked inside as the glass again covered the ingress.

'Interesting! This strange glass verifies the person like an x-ray machine of old times.'

[You are getting clever day by day or I'm awake after a century?]

Her very statement made Jeremy realize something as he waited for Axela to appear in her digital form.

"Speaking of the century, will I remain stuck in this body forever?"

[I can't say anything about that, I have no idea Jeremy.]

"Right! Is the chameleon command still stuck?"

He analysed the room which seemed big enough to be a King's bedchamber.

"The walls seem normal here."

Jeremy had seen the stuff back in the castle and did not want people to hear him outside the room. He knocked on the wall with his knuckles and was relieved.

"Phew! Apparently everything is normal here now. Nothing unusual to deal with."

Jeremy walked towards the bed with a tired gaze and slumped himself on the mattress.

[Well, we might have a problem here, Jeremy.]

"Hm?"

He opened his eyes only to see a snake made of air in front of him, it had dust particles in it and Jeremy could see the whole damn structure.

"What the-"

The snake had its mouth open as it floated in the air and before it could attack, Jeremy slid down and rolled over only to fall off the bed.

[That thing is sent by some air bender, and it can definitely hurt you.]

Artemis stood up from the carpeted floor and looked around for something, while he carefully inspected the snake which still floated in the air.

"Fair enough! Air bender, huh? I thought this was a tech school. What's the use of these beasts here?"

He shook his head and panicked while positioning himself.

"What if I grab its tail?"

[It's made of air and dust, Jeremy. Did you drop your brain somewhere?]

"Right!"

Cold sweat ran down his temples when the solution clicked in his mind.

"Right! It is made up of air and dust, and air can defeat it."

[Yes! But do you know how to bend air to your will?]

"Well, no harm in trying."

A glint of confidence radiated from his eyes. Whereas Axela might have sounded concerned.

[But you saw out there, what your unstable powers did, right? You will just blow up the room on your first day here.]

"No, definitely not!"

Jeremy began to move his hands in a specific manner which created a circular motion in front of him. The air around his hands began to form a circle and dust particles combined within made it visible to eyes.

[Be careful!]

Sensing the danger the snake immediately charged at Jeremy with its mouth wide open, when Artemis positioned himself with one foot behind and titled his right shoulder.

The air snake collided with his shield and Jeremy seized the opportunity, he pushed the shield towards the duct on his right side.

The forged beast transformed into normal air as the dust blew off.

"There you go! Haha, easy!"

His beaming voice resonated in the room, which became quiet afterwards.
