"Do you want to broadcast to the world that you are an angel?!" Joe stated via telepathy as he did not want the others remaining in the room to hear him berating Adrian.
"Why would it make a difference if people knew of me as an angel? It is not like their world will change that much as they are already exposed to supernatural powers and abilities." Adrian replied via telepathy.
"Do you not know of the implications of mortals learning that the divine is actually true!? Wars have been declared just for a relic imbued with the power of the creator. What do you think would happen if people find out that angels walk among them?" Joe rebutted via telepathy.
"Is that the reason why you told them that you are immortal? I did not know that you care so much for people, Jophiel. The last time I could remember is that you were one of the first to suggest a 'cleansing' if they become wayward." Adrian replied casually.
"Just promise me that you will not reveal that you are an angel or at least part angel. The team already has enough on their plate as it is. We do not need to add divine revelation to the mix." Joe warned.
"Fine. You do not need to be a busy body. I will behave but you should know that trust is a two-way street. Unless…" Adrian stated as he suddenly smiled upon realizing something.
"As long as you agree then we are fine. Jihan can you please show Adrian around the compound. He needs to get familiar with his surroundings. We cannot have him giving the excuse that he was late because of getting lost. The mission will start tomorrow anyways, and I believe Esme could handle the preparations on your side by herself." Joe stated.
"If that is fine with you, Esme?" Jihan asked.
"I am good. Joe is right. The greenhorn looks tardy enough as it is. We cannot have him giving excuses of being a bum." Esme replied as she walked out of the room with a smug expression.
"Someone's feisty." Adrian commented.
"Do not be too hard on her as she treats Sofia like her elder sister. She will soften up eventually. She is not a bad person. Anyways, I am Jihan. I will be your tour guide for the compound. It is a pleasure to be your acquaintance." Jihan stated as he gave a bow to Adrian.
"The pleasure is all mine." Adrian replied with a bow as well. The two then left the room together.

Adrian decided to know more about his teammates since he will live with them in this compound. He also wants to know more on how they were recruited for this kind of job. He knows that some people like to fight for justice or something righteous.
"So Jihan, care to tell me the rundown of everyone living in this place? It is getting awkward just silently walking in these empty halls." Adrian asked.
"That is fine. Knowing a person will make then grow closer anyway. Let us start with Joe. He is American and probably as old as that country or maybe older. He is immortal like the he does not age kind but can still be hurt. He basically runs this whole organization.
The next in line would be Sofia and she is from Romania…I think. You already met her and saw her ability to manipulate blood. The most voted to be leader during missions is your partner for the reconnaissance is Dustan. He can manipulate metals and could control magnetism. He is probably the best among us." Jihan stated but Adrian cut him off.
"How powerful is he?" Adrian asked as he wanted to gauge Dustan's strength.
"I do not know but I saw him throw a car once. He did become tired after doing so." Jihan replied as he also gave details of the various facilities in the compound. Adrian did not comment on Dustan's strength even though he judged it as a on the weak side. Even he cannot access his full power since he just awakened.
"Then there is Esme, and she is from the United States as well, but her family is an immigrant from Norway. She is basically psychic like you, but she is more telekinetic as she moves things with her mind. The teenager you met earlier is Whiz, but his real name is Takato. He is from Japan and he is super smart. He could apparently talk to machines, so we call him a technopath." Jihan stated.
"A technopath? That is new. I do not think anyone had that ability back in olden times. No wonder I found that kid interesting." Adrian thought.
"I guess I am next. You could summarize me as those famous characters in cultivation manhwas that is all the rage right now. There are other people with us as well, but they have yet to return from their missions. I can tell you more about them when they return." Jihan stated as their last stop is the cafeteria.
"So, you train in Chi." Adrian stated and Jihan is not surprised because the concept of cultivating chi is very popular nowadays.
"I guess you picked that up from the popular novels that you have read. But I will tell you a spoiler that the stories are rather too exaggerated. We actually do not meditate all day or speak mantras." Jihan stated with a light laugh.
"You do not have to explain Chi to me because I am an Empath. Chi, Life Force, or Aura. Different names but they all share one thing in common. Those things define life as you are basically dead without it. Practitioners like you enhance you own Chi so that you could evolve past being human." Adrian stated in a rather calm tone which made Jihan ponder on what the former said.
"I should know since I taught early humans to harness and strengthen their Life Force. It gave me a headache just to figure out a way for normal humans to become fierce warriors. If an old god did not arrive then the concept of Life Force would not have been made anyway." Adrian though as he scanned the food in the cafeteria.
