The siblings led Dave into a cosy home, sitting him down and smiles on their faces as he took in their features. Linda had her blue hair with a ponytail and bangs that covered the majority of her forehead, icy blue irises upon those black eyes and touches of make-up here and there with the odd scar over the eye and lip. Her body was fairly curvy and most likely fairly toned from military service.
Jerry had a lighter shade of grey skin to his sister, ashen hair, same icy blue Irises but he had sideburns and a light moustache, also had a few scratches and scars but his body was toughened by service since they both got their armoured tunics off and was just in some green shirts with suspenders and David could make out the bodytype.
Linda went into the kitchen that was past the stairs and the open dining room. The sisterly dark eld then asks "Cuppa, David? Might help you calm the nerves and let you explain to us what happened. You look absolutely manic."
A cup of tea... something strange but familiar. Dave thought he was in a fantasy land like from games and comics with odd drinks and all sorts but being offered a cup of tea like he was back in Britain was something so alien even though it was familiar. he replied with a nod, still feeling so out of it.
"He'll have a cup of tea Linda, the lad is a little out of whack," Jerry said, speaking for David as he tried to calm himself as his heart was pounding like he was about to have a heart attack. One minute he was drunkenly stumbling in the middle of the road, leaving a party and into a fantasy world that was still going through the Second World War.
After a while of sitting in silence, Linda came on in and switched on an old-style television and put a cup of tea on a saucer in front of me on a small table.
Dave's hand was rattling as he sipped the tea, making it spill all over the saucer, only getting a mouthful since most spilled and the Linda said with eyed wide "My goodness, the poor lad is a bit mentally buggered."
"War fatigue sort of vibes I think... lad might've gone through quite the shaking," Jerry said with a sage nod.
David didn't even look at his own clothes. He looked at himself, Looking at his own clothes: suspenders down by his knees, black slacks, brogues and a button-up shirt but the most important part was his jacket. He checked his pockets for some sort of details on who he is now, like one show he seen on the TV called 'Life on Mars'.
Dave then pull out a leather booklet, passport and checked both of them in his name and having his face on them stamped in a strange ink before looking at my details. It wasn't long before I then said "I never lived or existed here!"
"Eh? That labour booklet and the passport says otherwise, mate. Says you are also a citizen of the Isle Kingdoms... accent is a bit weird like, considering you sound like you were from the Union."
"I'm not from that Union or whatever you said. I'm from Earth, The United States! America..." He shouted.
Linda then said "Alright lad, calm down, jumped the shite out of me!"
"I'm sorry, I'm trying to say, I'm not from this world. I'm not from wherever that union is."
"Alright Dave, so, what you are saying, cross my heart, full honesty, you are not from this world?" Linda asked me softly.
He nods his head "No lies or anything."
"So, where were you in your world then?" Jerry asked.
"I was coming out of a party, drunk and stumbling, wanting to walk home or to a bus stop, can't quite remember. It was a blur... Before I knew it, I saw two lights and heard a long beep before those lights turned into one big one and then I was here, stood up and walked to the docks and met you two..."
"Right, Right... Do you remember anything before that? Any details before that?"
"It was June, 2022. We finished university for the month and we had a party in another street. I took a taxi to the party after I got ready."
"June 2022?" Linda asks.
"Twentieth Era, Twenty-Second Year, Sixth month in your world."
"The Sixth month to us is Agranta." Jerry said.
"Sounds pretty advanced..."
"What can you tell us about your Twentieth Era so maybe we could have insight on what might be there?"
"Smartphones, electric cars, high definition TVs, the internet, Video Games..."
"Alright, they sound pretty mad, so save the detail... Where was your uni?" Jerry asked.
"Liverpool, United Kingdom," Dave said firmly.
"Sounds like Delespool, Isle Kingdoms,"
"You lot have very similar accents to some of those types of people from my world," he explains, still rather shaken up from being in this world. Was he dead or in a coma, how does he even know? He then asked them "How do I know if I'm dead or in a coma in my world?"
"Good question lad... Not a clue." Linda replied.
"Could take you to the medicine lady or the soul doctor. They apparently have had similar cases." Jerry said as they began to ponder.
