Kofi was a bit startled when the decoys appeared beside her. Acting natural, she wandered into the store and found herself walking towards the fruit aisle. She was already examining an apple [ I don't think I've had an apple today though ] when she felt something heavy press down on her shoulders.
Ready to punch whoever it was, she realized it was Chase. He lowered her frozen hand which was inches from his face, slightly annoyed " You could have broken my nose with that ". Kofi laughed nervously, putting the apple down " But I didn't. That's the important thing ".
Chase sighed and Kofi smiled brightly, " Can you let go of me now "? Chase suddenly removed his hand from her shoulders and turned red, " Sorry " [ How did I not realize what I was doing? ] Dylan jumped up slightly, positioning Peach who was still on his back, " What exactly are we buying "?
Chase looked at his watch, " It's ten fifteen. We're not out of the woods yet ". Kofi tilted her head to the side [ I don't see any trees ] " And that means "? He sighed as he went on, " You guys realize we have a curfew and that's midnight ".
Dylan frowned slightly, " Really, We do "? [ How did I not know that? ] Kofi scratched her head lightly [ What are they talking about? ] " Then we divide and conquer. You guys get us a ride while Peach and I do some shopping ".
Charles frowned slightly, " Why not just leave now "? Kofi shook her head, " We've been out for almost six hours now and the fun killer will be looking for someone our age. To avoid suspicion, we should just do a little shopping ".
Dylan sighed, " You just wanna buy stuff, don't you "? She giggled guiltily, " Maybe, but just a little ". Dylan looked over his shoulder at Peach, " But she isn't awake yet, how are we supposed to do this "?
Kofi was already walking, " Peach, aren't you coming "? Peach suddenly raised her head, holding his shoulders " Coming Fifi ". Dylan was surprised [ She's awake? ] but she suddenly kissed his hair, jumping down " Thank you Dylan ".
She punched Chase in the gut as she glared and ran passed him. She jogged after Kofi, her hair swinging behind her " Slow down Fifi ".

Mordecai rubbed his neck lightly as he sighed, " This was a hopeless waste of time ". He had no luck whatsoever in finding a suitable gift for his grandpa. Well, technically speaking, he had no sort of direct relationship with the patriarch and matriarch of the Yadi family.
But that didn't mean they were complete strangers with each other, it just gets so stiffling and boring around them. Mordecai knew he was different from his siblings, they were amazing combat specialists.
Though violence didn't fascinate him, it didn't mean he hated it. But it was definitely far from his expertise. He sighed as he rubbed his neck and saw a supermarket. He smiled to himself as he walked towards it, " Maybe I will get her some ice cream ".
He was walking in the same time two guys were walking out of the store. One was holding his hair in a daze while the other held his stomach like he'd been punched and was still smiling. He glanced at them and shrugged, entering the store. [ That was strange ]

Kofi was having fun, she enjoyed spending money actually. Personally, she didn't know what all the fuss about virsel was. It wasn't edible but would make very good fire kindling.
But she'd prefer using it to get things than getting into fights for leftovers. She pushed the trolley after Peach who was just throwing things in as she went. Kofi would occasionally drop something that made her curious into the pile as well.
Peach smiled satisfactorily to herself after a while, " I think we've got it all ". Kofi suddenly declared childishly, " I want pastries...especially cookies ". Peach sighed [ Of course you do ] " Fine, I'll head to the counter while you get what you want ".
Kofi nodded, picking an empty basket and splitting up with Peach. She was pleasantly surprised by all the treats on display. She giggled to herself as she began throwing things into her basket.
She was in such a rush, she knocked someone over with her basket. Though he fell, he didn't land flat on his butt but instead used his hands to support and break his fall. Kofi held out her hand to him, " I'm so sorry about that. You have good reflexes by the way ".
Mordecai sighed, taking the hand held out to him " Thank you "? When she helped him up, she smiled " You're that cute neighbor from the elevator ". Mordecai rubbed his neck, nodding [ She called me cute again ] " Yeah, but could you call me Mordecai instead "?
She slouched slightly, " Why do you people have such long names here? Can I call you Cai instead? I'll call you Cai ". He felt he had no other choice as he nodded and she pointed at the thing in his hand, " What's that "?
He held up his basket with a raised eyebrow, " Ice cream "? Kofi tilted her head to the side curiously [ Sounds sweet ] " Where can I get it "? He looked sideways at the freezer beside him and she opened it.
At first she seemed confused, " Which flavours do I get though "? He sighed as he picked one out for her, " Try Vanilla ". She nodded and he picked out another two for her, " Or strawberry. Or chocolate ".
Kofi nodded as she picked it, " Wow. You really know a lot about ice cream Cai ". He chuckled lightly, " You think so "? She nodded and closed the fridge, " I know this might sound inappropriate but do you have a brother by any chance "?
Mordecai tensed slightly as he nodded [ So she's one of Lloyd's admirers ] " An elder brother, why "? Though she smiled, he could tell that something had made her angry [ So it wasn't this lightweight bastard ] She felt her feet leave the ground as someone lifted her from behind.
" You do realize we're on a schedule here ". Kofi giggled, looking up at Charles as he began walking off after greeting Mordecai. Kofi raised her basket and looked back at Mordecai, " I'll see you at home Cai. Don't forget to come back before curfew ".
He could hear the guy scolding her and the girl laughing and he sighed, " I don't even know her name ". [ Her boyfriend's eyes are scary though ] He ended up getting honey and some painkillers when he got a call from Jubilee.
He knew she was going to give him an earful and he was right, " Where the hell are you "? He smiled as his stuff were wrung up, " I'm getting you ice cream ". It was silent for a bit when she quickly added, " Fine, you're forgiven. But get your ass over here. It's an hour to curfew ".
He smiled as he walked out, " Is my baby sis worried about me? Wanna keep talking till I get a cab ". He knew that embarrassed her and she groaned, yelling into the phone " I hate you"!
He laughed as he walked, " Awn, I love you too ". She laughed angrily, " Your impossible " and ended the call. He chuckled to himself as he raised the ice cream, " I guess it wasn't a total loss ".
