Mordecai once again regretted leaving his house. He sat quietly in the front seat while Lloyd and Adele were in the backseat [ Benefits of a self driving car I guess ] Lloyd seemed to be in a terrible mood while Adele seemed so sad, nothing like the energetic person she'd been a few hours earlier.
And now, he was stuck in traffic and he wanted to cry [ Why me? Is this some sort of karma? Then what did I do wrong? ] " Mordecai, are you listening "? He snapped out of his self pity session and looked back at Adele, " Of course, but what exactly were you saying "?
" We were hoping to stay with you for the night. Considering all the trouble your brother's caused ". He clenched his fist tightly as he nodded [ He's not my brother ] " Sure. We'd be happy to have you other ".
The traffic suddenly moved and he heard a thud coming from the back of the car. Lloyd frowned, already on high alert and reached for his gun [ An ambush? ] when the thing landed on the front.
The girl that was causing the commotion had red hair in a lose braid and laughed, waving at Mordecai " I'll see you at home Cai ".
Lloyd and Adele looked at each other doubtfully when Adele started to tease [ A girl shouldn't be jumping around like that ] " Who was that girl "? Mordecai shrugged it off with a slight smile, " She's one of our new neighbors ".
Though Lloyd was surprised by what she did, what perplexed him more was how she was able to see Mordecai so clearly through the thickly tinted glass.

Kofi and the others had been jumping for about three minutes when traffic seemed to start moving. Though progress was slow, it would do them no good if they got flung back.
That's why they were jumping towards the middle of the car roofs. Even if the cars moved, it would be slow and they'd still land on a part of the car. Which is exactly what happened when she planned on jumping to a black car.
She managed to land on the back of the car and flipped to the front. She looked back and saw Mordecai inside and waved [ What are the odds? ] " I'll see you at home Cai " and jumped off. Lucky, she didn't get anymore events like that.
By the time they got to the school gates, they were all tired. Peach was on all fours, breathing heavily [ I'm really out of shape ] " I thought this was supposed to be ten minutes ". Kofi shook her head, wiping the sweat off her brow ". A ten minute run is different from a fifteen minute jump session "
Chase ran his hands through his hair, " We're not out of trouble yet. We actually need to be in a dorm to meet curfew ". Kofi shrugged, " Then we'll stand in the nearest one ".
He shook his head [ She's good at finding loopholes ], " It doesn't work that way, you sleep where you stand ". Dylan groaned, " Whose dorm is the closest "? Peach took a deep breath and raised her hand, " Ours ". Kofi clapped her hands excitedly, " We've got two extra rooms too ".
Peach was already running again, " We have three minutes people ". The others dashed after her surprised by how fast she was all of a sudden.

Thanks to Kofi's stunt earlier, the mood in the car had livened up and wasn't as awkward anymore. He was glad their school was not so deep rooted in the city.
They got to school five minutes after midnight but he wasn't worried. There was still a ten minute warning time. He couldn't help but laugh to himself as he remembered Kofi [ I don't think she knew about the extra ten minutes though ]
Adele poked his cheek playfully, " What's so funny "? Mordecai shook his head, " Nothing ". She smiled widely, " You're thinking of that cute neighbor of yours, aren't you "? Mordecai ended up shaking his head and speaking without thinking " She's cute "?
Adele gasped, " Even cuter ". Mordecai shook his head, " Not cute. I barely know her ". Adele didn't let up, " Then why are you blushing "? Mordecai raised an eyebrow, slightly pissed " I'm not "
Lloyd sighed as the car finally stopped, " We're here. Can we go up now "? Mordecai didn't need to be told twice as he bolted out of the car and ran into the lobby [ I've never wanted to be in school so badly ] Lloyd crossed to the other side and helped her out of the car.
He heaved a sigh of relief when he got inside the building and pressed the elevator button. Lloyd and Adele soon joined him and he regretted not running up the stairs. He was to tired to bother making conversation or being polite, so he was silent.
When they did get to their floor, he opened the door and let them in. That was when the other door opened. It was the guy who had been holding his head in a daze earlier at the supermarket.
He held out a white bag to him all of a sudden, " That monkey....I mean Kofi asked me to give you some ice cream. Said something about yours melting by now ". Mordecai found himself collecting it when Peach popped up, " And we're really sorry about the car she jumped on too ". She smiled and waved, closing the door " Good night Cai ".
