Jamia and Sarah, the two maids, each bowed after being thanked. "Have a good night, my ladies." They both said as if they had practiced it and walked out the room, closing the door behind them.
Once they were gone, the room descended into silence. Almathea and Evy turned to each other, as a sudden awkward silence befell the room.
Almathea cleared her throat, "I guess that means we should also sleep." She surmised as she walked up to the large bed that the two of them were expected to share.
Evy bobbed her head up and down obediently before also sneaking into the covers. The bed was fluffy, and the covers were warm. Almost immediately, a wave of tiredness that Evy did not know she had hit her like a ton of bricks. She cuddled further into the covers, and looked up at Almathea who was still seated up and observing the room. The room that they had been given was large, much larger than any place Evy had stayed in before.
