Chereads / Never Cross The Shield / Chapter 32 - First Lesson

Chapter 32 - First Lesson

Enammer began shaving his friend's beard without glancing into his eyes. Delun was already cringed and speechless but his face was changing shades of colors.

Bo released himself from those hands and got able to his feet.

"My apologies, Mate! This is good for you or I wouldn't do it." Enammer sated.

"Don't you worry I will repay this!" Delun jested.

As soon as the fay boy was done, the commander clapped his hands, called out the commands to his Aligners, "Wrap this mess up. Let's see how much guts these little roaring cats have gotten." Glaring at them over his shoulder with a blank expression.

There was no tinge of a joke in that rough face. The boys had no idea what the commander was about to do with them but as long as Karmalin was agreed with them and they already got stuck in a stupid situation, no other way was suggested.

They had the choice of going with this team, staying at this grumpy commander's house, or entitling those hunters to smash them down under accusations. They chose this house as the lesser of two evils and needed a home to settle in.

Elan and Zach picked up the mat and others brought another clean on. As the place returned to a good state.

"Let's enjoy the natural elements." Commander Chen shouted and his team cheered, streaming out from a door.

It was a huge yard. There were many obstructive effects that set in informal positions. Targets for shooting, fencing, archery, and shock gun fires and stick that adjusted in a shelf.

Sock guns were the ones that had made buy TECO Armory Company. These weapons hadn't bullets to cause deep injuries and were made of energy cube yellow rays. They could cause a slight cringe in the area that the light ball had sat, disabling the target from running away out of pain.

In Vita country, using the bullets that could cause a hole in the body was highly forbidden but yet the Feral sect mafias were using it and have been importing new smart versions from Anonymous country.

The boys stood still watching around, wondering that why would the commander bring them there on the first day.

"Elan, you can let off some steam today! Choose one of them." He ordered, jumped on a big cube-shaped stone. His hand formed to black paws with sharp long nails.

Enammer swallowed, "Why Elan does come to me?"

"To let off his steam on you." Bo warned.

"Guard, and be fast! This is a test, like the ones we went through already for joining the academy." Delun remark.

"Go. They underestimated us." Bo confirmed.

Enammer nodded and rushed inside. Fighting a strong vampire wasn't easy and from now on either of them had to bear it day in and day out.

Elan stood in front of him, his eyeballs swelled entirely black. His nails grew longer; also, those large fangs in his mouth were crying that he would keenly dive them into something that unfortunately was Enammer.

The fay boy's eyes caught the shock sticks inside the weapon shelf. Their utter cover was made of walnut woods and strong enough to drawback this vampire. He was a hawk and couldn't let the cold sweat of shame lay on his forehead.

He had a low list of strategies to pick against this militiaman. It wasn't like the Aligner's entrance test because his rivals were all at his age and were not trained like these men.

Elan cracked the rain and seized forward. He was as fast as the wind but the fay was still a young hunter bird with mighty visions. He dodged.

"You coward! Why are dodging? Fays don't have guts to face a vampire?" Elan crooned and others laughed, egging the boy to see his reaction.

Commander was peering carefully. This fay looked placid and those words didn't even bring shake to his legs. Instead grinned, permitted Elan to attempt another time. His eyes on the weapon shelf. This boy was smart exactly like his nature. He had a sharp and gentle hawk in his gang finally, the only White hawk in Lake Vita academy. He sneered satisfyingly.

"Hurry up boys! I won't wait until dawn, from now you have only three minutes! Shake your ass or go back to your mama, playing with your girly toys." Commander growled.

Elan bared his teeth, seized for the second time, this time the boy surprisingly moved forward as a wraith, appearing behind him! Crap, a hawk!

The folks also buzzed after realizing that he was a white hawk. Their team would advance with this and could launch a new age.

Enammer sat on a slender cylinder stone that grew from the ground. Elan didn't waste time and swiftly turned to catch him. The boy was half shaped so he had still many options until he was on the ground.

Elan's nails scratched the boy's arm. This time he didn't like it and they finally grappled. Enammer began seizing on the vampire. He was stronger than the other vampires he saw before. The rest were thin, slender, and only fast, just using nails and fangs but he had strong hard muscles. The vampires had an inner thirst for absorbing blood and diving their fangs but this one didn't have the intention for that.

This commander truly changed many things inside him, Enammer thought. His body wasn't as mighty as him and already had myasthenia that could cause exhaustion. He had to reach the shelf and rely on a shock stick.

Elan punched the hawk and he fell on the ground near the weapons shelf. Following his sight, he studied his hand.

Around thirty people were cheering, hooting under the rain, watching that battle. Enammer didn't want to lose and bleed there. He was from a Cadickus family. They were the best combatants in the whole Vita.

He rushed to the shelf, grasping the weapon, shooting the vampire on the leg.

Elan aimed to catch the boy before reaching the shelf but he couldn't make it out, the boy was quicker than he thought. His leg muscles cringed, and the pain was pecking his brain as if a wicked crow.

"Enough! You failed the roaring cat. No weapon was allowed." Commander declared.

Two of their teammates came over and helped Elan getting out of that arena.

"This is unfair! No one ever mentioned a law." Delun complained.

Commander Chen heard and jumped down.

"Lesson one. Wraiths won't put options in front of you! Sometimes you got no weapon to defend yourself so you have to use your brain and then arms and legs! A hawk fay can fly and dive, tearing a grown man to pieces." He directed to Enammer. He was right, the boy was born as a weapon.
