Chapter 28 - To heal

Karmalin's expression entirely had changed. He wasn't on the previous terms with them. Already he used to act and call them through growing their knowledge so anytime they caused troubles he dragged them inside the library, forcing them to read and clean the library, putting back the books on the shelves. That rather treat brought them to order indeed. But this time, it was as if he was preparing them for war.

No one knew what was going on in the parliament. Always there were silent cold wars between those shrines that sometimes leaked out, dangled people, and made the zealotry followers against each other.

Bo also could read a hint of fright in his eyes. When this astute fay was peering to the moon, drowning in his thoughts and giving them bits of advice, it meant that something was close that they must be vigilant about it.

Something dignified was waggling forward, opened its mouth, devouring everything on its path as if a famished worm.

"What shall we do master? Only staying here, doing nothing? The Juggler is after Bo." Delun asked anxiously.

He saw how dangerous he was and for taking Bo, the freak vampire wouldn't spare using a single chance.

"Calm down, son. We will talk about that." Karmalin replied.

A tinge of strangeness was tickling Bo from the deepest part of his existence. This power had hidden in advance and fed well, grown perfectly within him then arisen and provoked from a profundity that he had no clue about it, like a blank page that had a weird subject and he had asked to fill it then suddenly notes appeared asking questions.

It was sneaking over his mind. It was as if a sleeping dragon that got matured enough in darkness to rise and release itself from thick chains. To say that in the darkness there were beings that were hidden in a sound position and can bring light and shine to clear the path. Thus, this power within him was a challenge to cause prodigious alterations that could also play with his life until reaching the peak.

"Master, you know it! don't you?" Delun said.

"Ah, Delun you always ask vague questions, which aspect are you directing to exactly?"

"That we are innocent. They think we are Lashuka's spies." He shrugged.

"Don't let those accusations hit you down to the deeps Delun. I don't believe any of those, you don't do so and ever allow them to haunt over your minds. The parliament is looking for an excuse to wrap this."

Karmalin had to warn about that as long as Delun had gotten disappointed. They didn't mind sacrificing two Aligners. He would soon be sent a notice to warn the pastorates that they had gone too far this time.

The fay halted near the fountain in the middle of the courtyard. A lady sculpture with a tray of roses in her hand was in the middle. A smooth gale rushed out of somewhere, caressing a hand on their scratches to mollify their sore.

Furthermore, it made love cheerily with the yellow-red fiery leaves of buttonwoods, camphor, and locust trees. Barely, the leaves could resist those gentle kisses. Dancing down the trees jollity, some rested on the cobble ways, grass parts but some continued of dancing until reached the wall of Roses on railing walls between the Academy, the court, and dormitory baronial buildings. Amaranth flowers embraced some of them in sympathy.

The Melody of crunchy leaves, quashing under shoes begot tickles into jaws and heads, making heartthrobs slow down and falling into relief.

"You must make up your minds and get ready for a vital operation." Karmalin went on after a short hiatus.

"Is it related to recent occurs?" Bo asked.

"Yes, I will tell you the details. For now, just heal and focus on your training. Next time, I might not endure seeing you torn like this. Keep in your mind that I put out the weak Aligners to keep the strong ones."

He warned about the every year output. Those who couldn't hit the main rank must leave the Academy and the low ranks should join the departmental sects so they had real rivals that unfortunately were among fays and those half-breads.

"I will ask them to bring your car." His eyes rolled from Bo to Delun added, "and your motorcycle. Here is your main house from now until you finish the academy."

They both knew what Karmalin's direct commands meant. If they were doing unlike it therefore must forget Aligners Academy bear living the nerds life.

"Remember that any laziness is unacceptable." Yet his eyes on Delun. It meant that he must become faster, lose weight, and stop overeating.

"This means that we are allowed to take a part of Feral Engine Racings, we got it, didn't we?" Delun calmly said; he was flying in the clouds. The words were repeating and cheering joyfully in his head.

Karmalin coughed! Some aligners were about to pass by and it was almost nine o'clock. They were peeking at the boys who always could get a chance after causing troubles and discuss with Karmalin while neither of them had the guts to do so. As He didn't want to mention to the FER directly so he brought up the conversation by offering them their vehicles because these races were illegal!

If parliament spies could smell that they got his permission from the manager then they had to bear paying a huge forfeit to shrines to clean their sins!

This illegal race was limited to the Feral district and the prizes were coming from bets and the entrance fees. They already pleaded that Karmalin allow them to enter but at either time he refused, saying, "If we got the right time," but also punished them even for discussing over it and being impatient. What did change now? Did the right time arrive? What was the reason then?"

"I am sure you would cover your identities if you did unlike it; you don't expect people's hands of mercy!"

"Yes, sir! No one would realize that, I promise that we cover up everything and will not use our own vehicles." Bo stated eagerly.

The manager took his eyes off those boys, moving them back to the moon. Its light found a path into his sparkling eyes and added, " I will talk to Dr. Wong. I am sure she understands the situation."

He studied Bo's mind. His mother was strict and convincing her wasn't an easy way that he could step in and settle with her disagreement. She would clearly extract every detail from him so it wasn't a business that Bo could endure.

"Thank you, sir." Both of them said. For Delun it didn't make too much difference and his only concern was his dog that Karmalin previously adopted.

"You have two weeks of rest due to your state." He glanced back at the nurses of the infirmary that were approaching.

"It is way better to meet each other in a proper time." Paused then continued, "As you got better I want to see you in my office one by one."

He finished and shifted his figure into a white Dove, flying up to the last floor of front tower.
