In less than an hour, Leira's family car arrived. All the girls got into a van-type vehicle. Leira instructed the driver to send each of them to their houses. However, the girls refused aside from Zara, whose house was just within the City.
Dennise and the other girls insisted on being dropped by the taxi station since it was also just a walking distance from the bus station.
Leira finally arrived home at almost four in the morning. But, unfortunately, the expectation that none of her parents are awake aside from their house helpers happened to be the other way around. Even though she was still in the vestibule, the sight of her parents standing in the foyer, talking with each other, was all she had already seen.
She sighs.
Leira knew too well where this setting would be heading. She knew too well that they were there, waiting for her. There must be something important that they need to say to her. Her mom was still in her silky night tees with the cover-up, as so as her dad was still in her pajamas.
Her parents never woke up to talk this early in the day outside their respective rooms. Instead, they mostly talk on the intercom or simply get inside her room if he wants her.
Yes, her parents may be together in the same house, but what people didn't know, they aren't sleeping in the same bed. Her father was sleeping in his bed with her mistress. Her father was living with her two women in one house.
It's hard for Liera to accept the kind of situation they had at first. Because she pitied her mother, she thought that her mom was innocent. Although, not long ago, she knew that she had her own world too. When Leira saw a boy coming out from her mom's bedroom.
Rumors from their house helper that he was her mom's boy toy.
She had a missy home, and she knew too well that her life is a miss in general. That made her lose interest in planning for the future. Wanting to finish a degree or even just being responsible.
It was not the first time she came home this late, or shall we say, very early in the morning. She had always been a party girl, which her parents ignored.
However, she also knew that her parents would only be talking with each other if they included their only daughter, Leira.
She slowly stepped into the entrance, and the smiling face and emotionless face of her mother greeted her without some sort of expected good morning word.
Instead…
"Finally, you're here," her mom, advancing towards her for a slight smack.
Her dad looked at her with an expressionless face as he said. "Did you enjoy the party? Or wherever you form?"
Leira sighed again with the dull introduction. She didn't want to answer her dad's question because she knew so well that he still wouldn't care about the answer. However, she still answered to let the conversation flow.
"It's exciting but tiring actually, and I want to rest. So, if there's anything you guys want to say, like what I detected. Let's just talk about it on the couch," she walked straight on the couch without looking back at her parents.
Her mom and dad shared a meaningful glance before they finally followed her to the living room.
Leira undeviatingly laid herself on the long couch. She laid on her side with a couch pillow in her head and one between her knees, which forced her parents to sit on single couches each.
It may be too disrespectful and informal for her to be talking with her parents that way. However, she was used to doing it, and none of them dared to speak towards her on that, or else she would spout out to their faces how missy their family they made.
So, her parents wouldn't dare anymore.
Her parents looked surely displeased but tried to ignore everything said. "We knew that you already knew that you would only marry this one person in the future. The president of the Griffin Hospital."
Leira furrowed her brows. She just heard the most annoying topic in her entire life again. Her parents kept on talking about the guy who set them up to marry her. She didn't even know him or see him in her entire life.
She wanted to talk over and argue with her parents again, however. She simply held herself for a moment, and with her furrowed brows, she closed her eyes, pretending asleep.
Leira hoped that her parents would simply think that she was actually asleep and would just simply stop the conversation and leave her. That both of them will just simply go back to their rooms and enjoy their sex slaves.
But they weren't.
In fact, her mom followed up what her father said in an even exciting voice.
"And tonight, my baby girl, you will finally meet your prince charming." Her mom shivers with her words as her both hands in fist together in front of her chest.
Leira abruptly stood up on the couch in surprise.
"What?"
Her parents thought that she was surprised with excitement. However, it's the other way around for Leira. What she just heard is the first, if not the only thing that might cause her death.
She was still young, and she used to promise herself that if she forced her to marry this man they kept talking about, she would rather kill herself than marry him or any other guy.
Seeing how missy her family was, she stopped dreaming of fairy tales a long time ago and hated prince charmings. She doesn't want to be like her mom, who thought before that her dad was her prince charming. Instead, he actually was a snake, who thought that like the snake, he had two penises and only gave her mom nothing but heartache until she learned to be a snake herself.
