Seven Years Ago
The rain poured down furiously from the sky, which was so gloomy with all its storm, it basically told the mood in the atmosphere. Different people gathered around the six-feet deep hole where my father's coffin was to be lowered, their faces looking gloomy under their black umbrellas, all of them dressed in black suits, none of them crying, simply keeping the quiet atmosphere in the cemetery as the priest read out " ashes to ashes, dust to dust…".
Couldn't really catch the whole speech though, as I was seated in my guardian's green car half a mile out, watching, I couldn't be there with those who had attended cus of the unrest my presence alone would cause, and as I watched through my guardian aunt Gloria's wound-up black-tinted window, at the back-right seat, I heard her call out my name – "Iris!"
