Chereads / Tale of a Phoenix / Chapter 34 - She punched him, The Great Deitiness

Chapter 34 - She punched him, The Great Deitiness

Well, fighting and killing someone shouldn't have been an issue, to begin with. But the problem is, the girl is human. It would already be a great achievement if she doesn't get scared after watching other creatures, to say nothing about picking fights with them and harming them for nothing.

After all, Lady Aelin Westfall in her bloodlust, revenge, and anger, let go of the element water, which was essential for the balance, for the nirvana, for the end of this reincarnation cycle.

Now, this phoenix is made of fire, which only knows how to hurt others or hurt the person carrying it.

He let her wrist go, then stared at the girl, who was tolerating all the pain, all the heat, all the bone-melting lava in her, while at the same time, who was clueless about what was happening to her.

" Umm... Aelin, I know, what's wrong with you? " Prithvi said while trying to think what he would do to help her.

" What is it ?" Aelin asked, looking confused while trying to hold herself.

"Well. I can't explain it to you. But, you have to do what I will tell you to do. Will you?" Prithvi asked knowing it would be a tough task to do.

Aelin thought for a moment, but when the fire in her engulfed her reasoning, then she could only nod.

" Punch me," Prithvi ordered her, while she stared at him as if her eyes would come out of her socket.

P-Punch… punch him.

" Don't think and punch me. Or your suffering will get worse." Prithvi said, watching her eyes getting wide as saucers.

' Aelin, it's the fire in you. In order to be in control, in charge of this terrifying power of yours, you have to release some energy. The best possible way to do so is to fight.

The great dietiness is right. You have to fight. He is helping you. Besides, didn't you hate being weak, being useless, then consider it as a chance.

A chance to learn, to be strong, to grow.  So, fight.' The bird encouraged her.

Better not ask what Aelin was feeling, her inner voice was calling her to fight. The only fellow present was asked to punch him. She was feeling crazy, nevertheless to say.

In the end, after feeling defeated by the pain, she did what everyone, including her instincts, told her to do. She tried to punch Prithvi. But as if his reflexes let her. Not to mention, that punch wasn't even capable of harming a flower or a water drop.

She gave a confused look to Prithvi.

" One more time." Prithvi said, making Aelin nod and walk toward him, then punch him. Again the same thing happened.

" Again." Prithvi called out.

For the next one hour, the same scenario happened and Aelin was nowhere near Prithvi to punch him. But now, after an hour of struggle, she was feeling calm and tired, much better than the previous insane condition.

" Feeling better?" Prithvi asked, to which Aelin nodded.

" Good, now let's go," Prithvi said while starting to walk, expecting Aelin to follow in his footsteps.

" But… I wanted to pay my respect to everyone." Aelin suggested, making Prithvi to pause, turn around and stare at Aelin for a good few minutes.

After a long pause, he said; " Okay. Let's go."

Luckily, he is The Great Dietiness. So, no one knows what was going on in his mind, within the passing moment.

~~

Aelin went to the Grand Hall while Prithvi just stood at some distance giving her privacy, where she paid respect to all the ancestors of Phoenix.

After which, she went to the Rosa Garden Hall of South, where Lady Aelin Westfall spent her childhood. Ecstasy ran through the veins of Aelin's body because the bird was feeling elated and ecstatic, after returning back to the place it called Home. The place, which was filled with memories.

Memories of cries. Memories of laughter. Memories of happiness. Memories of harmony. Memories of excruciating pain.

Prithvi didn't step in. Not because he couldn't or he wasn't allowed. But his guilt, the pain, those hurtful eyes, that hatred ness didn't let him in.

How ironic, he never had a place to whom he could refer as his, or as home. The only person who gives him the joy of being a friend, who introduces him to her family, whose family treat him as one of their own, whose people cherish, respect, and love him, the only person who brought him to this place, who gave him 'Home'  is none other than that heartless phoenix.

And what did he do in return? He brought the pain to her, the hunt to this sacred place's doors, the painful, humiliating death to her people as a gift.

He snatched her family, his family from her. She is what she is today, because of him. It's all because of him. Everything started because of him. He is a criminal. He is the culprit.

So, now stepping in would only make him hate himself and his family more than ever. He saw how Aelin was running here and there, the genuine, happy smile plastered on her face, not knowing what she was doing, why she was running, or anything.

But she was feeling happy. As happy as she used to feel when she was a little child. When her father used to become a horse and let her be the rider while measuring the entire Kim Mansion on his four limbs. While her laughter echoed in the entire mansion.

Later, both of them would get an earful from Sarah. They would listen to it with ' I am innocent' puppy face, till Sarah gave in to their cuteness and sighed deeply. Filling the mansion with mischievous laughter of the daughter and father duo who would consider each other as a victor.

She was feeling the same. But now, she couldn't help but wonder how her family is doing, what is going on with that phoenix? Is she doing well? Is she living well? Is her family mistreating that phoenix? Is she being ignored, like her?

How is everything going on in the Kim family? That phoenix didn't have a family. But she has. Will that phoenix cherish it? Will they take her love for them for granted?

She took a deep sigh and decided to let go. After all, now she has much more important things to worry about than her family and the phoenix staying in her body.

She bid her farewell and went back to Barracks with Prithvi where Celaena and Devmaya were waiting for her. To be precise, waiting for the phoenix who just banished darkness, while becoming the bringer of light.

In Earth :

After 6 months, from the accident :

At the VVVIP room of the hospital :

Doctors and nurses were doing their duty, which is the daily check-up of the patient, Aelin Kim when they felt movements in her.

Like her bandaged fingers, moved a little. Even her bandaged hand moved. Then her eyelids rolled.

The doctor started checking up and informing the Kim Family. After all, these were signs of awakening after the long unconscious state.

And within 30 minutes, Mr & Mrs. Kim were there. So, was Ashoka, who definitely was pissed, as he and Kiara were at the last stage of love-making when the call interrupted them. But he masked it well.

Doctors gave them the latest reports and told them about the latest updates.

[Well, Ashoka wanted to kill her. But, she went into a coma herself. So, Ashoka, who had never ever considered herself as a threat, couldn't help but turn a blind eye.]

But, who would have thought, she would actually wake up from her coma.

After 12 hours :

Aelin's parents and  Ashoka remain seated in their respective places. Ashoka acted as the concerned and worried future husband of Aelin.

Though he was actually worried, if she woke up, then his good days would end soon. Then, he would have to come up with another plan to end this girl's life. After all, Aelin's existence in itself is a big problem. Since his slut [ Kiara] hates this girl.

But he wasn't able to think more as the doctors came with the news he wanted to avoid the most. 'Aelin woke up.'

And Mr & Mrs. Kim ran towards her. While he followed them too. After all, no one except his right hand knew it was him, who had caused that fire accident. Besides, he hasn't become the CEO of The Raj out of nothing. He has taken care of everything, including evidence and witnesses, long ago.

So, he was relaxed. But the moment he entered and saw her, he couldn't help but freeze to the spot.  The person lying in the bed was covered with bandages from upside down. Leaving not even a single part of her body, spare from wounds.

Except for her dark brown eyes, which were constantly blinking, innocently, there was nothing that wasn't uncovered with bandages.

~~

Though doctors had explained it. But the reality was really very hard to digest. At this rate, who will even dare to come near her. To say nothing about the marriage alliance.

Lady Aelin saw the species she hates the most. Humans. Greedy, corrupt, and weak. But she knows she can't do anything.
