If Sweety hoped for not seeing or hearing a Mr. Wilson for the rest of the day, her hopes went fine until the day went down and night came after.
"Did you see my locket? It appears like a rocky surface. With a dim red light emerging from inside!" Sweety repeatedly asked every girl whom she encountered about the chain she was missing.
"Did you see-?"
"Wait there, aren't you thirsty repeating all that?" Nishi, a neighbor of Sweety who lived in the opposite room came to her with a bottle. Having a sip, Sweety explained,
"I was taking a bath after school like I always do. And I remember very well I locked my cupboard where I kept the locket."
"Is anything else missing?"
"No. Only the locket." She was worried too much for a thing she was not given a right to claim. But that only made things intense.
"Does it mean a lot to you? We can buy another one." Nishi suggested. She was fatter than Sweety and had all the features of being a curvy, lazy lass. She was so into her character that she took showers once or twice a week and cultivated lice in her hair.
Disgusting as she lived, her company made Sweety happy always.
"I really need it back. It's not mine but somebody gave it to me and I intend to return it when I find that person."
Nishi looked at the girl like she was sprouting bubbles from her mouth instead of air. "You had a necklace you don't own and yet you want to keep it with you?"
Sweety nodded in answer.
Sighing Nishi said, "This only makes me lazier to find that thing for you. It's not even yours to begin with." Nishi was going away rolling her eyes when Sweety hurriedly clutched her neighbor.
"Please. Find it for me!"
"No."
"I'll do head massage for you the next three days."
Knowing her bait would work, Nishi bit her lips in mild irritation but Sweety's sweet smile did the rest of the persuadation.
"Fine. Don't go back on your word!" Nishi warned and already began looking behind corners of tables and walls.
"I won't." Sweety followed her while looking for the piece.
"Take me to your cupboard."
Sweety did so. On inspecting the contents, Nishi came upon the lock her friend used to put her locket in.
"This is the lock you used for locking the cupboard? One glitch and the lock will come open without using a key." She demonstrated it in front of Sweety, making the latter's mouth round open.
"Now what?"
Muttering of the gullibility of the girl, Nishi walked out of the room after checking Sweety's roommate, Kirell's things. "First things first. Change your lock. Use this one for now. And inform your parents to give you a better one." Nishi handed out a sample to her. "I'll speak with Warden and get back to you."
Hearing that, Sweety pulled her hand back preventing her from going, "Are you crazy? If the warden knows it doesn't belong to me and I still want to find it she will call me in a mental institution!"
Rolling her eyes Nishi pushed the girl's power, "I am not saying your story to the world. We will need Warden's help if you want to find your locket."
Without further ado, Nishi pointedly eyed her to stay put until she was done. Sweety was left with nothing other than worrying.
Thinking of where the locket could have gone and why someone would take it from her, the thing did not even look cool to wear much less worthy to steal but she liked having it around. A trail of chortling followed her sense, coming from Jasmine and her group.
"I can't wait for tomorrow. My plan should work the best." Jasmine chorused followed by cheers.
Sweety stared after them until her shoulder was tapped twice. "What are you looking at? Listen, I informed Warden Mam, she said she will help find it for you. Don't worry and go for dinner. I'll get my cup, tonight I want to drink hot chocolate!" Excited, Nishi went and left Sweety in her suspicions over Jamine.
Jasmine had an alibi to steal her locket since she insulted her today.
Sweety continued her search by constantly asking her neighbors, cross checking her own room multiple times and checking extremely when it came to searching those girls who roamed with Jasmine. But she failed in finding it.
Jasmine cleared her throat after seeing the lost face of Sweety. "Are you done? Or do you want to see me as the thief?"
"Thanks for letting me search." Saying that she left her room when Jasmine called out, "With the way it was stolen, you should look for people around you. The nearest they are, the bigger the threat."
Sweety hardly slept that night. It was like she lost something very important. For the locket to come up on her possession and then for her to lose it this way, what did it mean?
At the same time, in Boys hostel where male teachers lived among the students to maintain discipline, Rob arrived in his room directly after dinner. He went in the shower the first thing. It wasn't until he looked into his clothes for an underwear when he found the locket.
Hidden surrounded by his boxers as if someone was touching him through the cloth. Yikes!
According to his opinion, sexiness was okay, he was a great fan of it but.. this? His expression of disgust changed into a horror and before he could think of opening his mouth, a ringing noise sounded.
Shit, it was his phone. Putting the thing back inside his cupboard, he went to pick up. "Yeah?"
"The locket is missing from the girl. I cannot hear her anymore."
"Aren't you being too privy into people's business? Is your girlfriend ok with this?"
Instantly the black tornado broke out, "What does that have to do with you?" Cheater, Rob gave him a name. "Find the locket now that it is not in her possession. Once I get my stuff back, you have no idea what I'll do to you for making me suffer all these years."
With the final sentence, Rob looked at the disconnected call, turned his head left then right, then whispered with a smirk, "Poor Ty. The locket's ownership never changed. It was mine and will always be mine."
Rob as in Frank Wilson packed his bags early morning, waking up earlier than the studios teachers of the school. On his good walk towards the main gates which screamed of new bent freedom, he waved at the sweeping ladies. One or two blushed at his show.
"Oi officers! I wish I could see you again but no worries, I enjoyed drinking narrating stories too!!" Showing his teeth, he had walked past the gate when his arms were held hostage and brought back inside the premises.
"Wh-What are you doing man? Hey! That's my bag! No, don't throw my clothes like that!" His once upon a nighttime buddies turned on him like the worst devils.
Seeing an approaching familiar woman he jumped for his rescue, "Dean Yard!" Ignoring how correlating those two words sounded, he continued, "You see that?" He showed the way those common watchmen were acting like high profile detectives skimming down inch by inch from his suitcase. Especially the old long bearded one, he was literally sniffing for drugs or something.
"It was reported that a girl lost her precious necklace last night. I am sorry Mr. Wilson but you can't leave this school for now."
