It took a week for everyone to let go of locket news. During that time, Sweety regularly went through the idle conversation with Mr. Wilson.
Ever since that day when she found her locket, she never took it out of her neck. Taking it inside her bathroom and remembering to wear it back after bath.
Mr. Wilson who was the cheery one with his class, showed his cold persona only to Sweety.
Jasmine was unhappy that Sweety found her locket back and most of all, she was not hating the psychology teacher because that's why she framed him.
Rather it appeared to be the other way round. The teacher was mad at Sweety for some reason. Whatever it was, worked in her favour.
"Why don't I join you today in your experiment counsel, Mr. Wilson?" Jasmine asked after the class. It was usual for Sweety to stay back for counsel with Mr. Wilson.
Sweety looked up from her bag as she kept back her books. She waited for him to answer.
Shrugging, Rob agreed, "Lets go."
Thinking he did not want her to join him, she stayed behind again until leaving for library instead.
Half an hour later was lunch anyway, thus she decided reading some magazines before that.
It was the second page she was browsing through when it was snatched rudely from her grasp.
"What the-?" She abruptly shut her mouth from uttering the word.
"What are you doing here wasting time?" Mr. Wilson confronted her ruthlessly.
"I thought you wanted to do the experiment with Jasmine." She honestly put out.
But her reply didn't seem to have made an improvement in his face rather it became worse.
Without a word, he took her hand and out of the library with an ample amount of onlookers watching a teacher pulling a student.
As the gossips aired. Sweety found herself back in his cabin with no other teacher present around. Not even Jasmine was there.
"I never permitted you to take the day off from your work." He made it clear. "Sit."
She went to take the seat opposite his table. Astonishingly, he dragged his chair near hers.
"Tell me the latest thing bothering your mind." He started, settling back in his arm chair staring at her for reply.
Sweety licked her lips in nervousness, was this a part of experiment? Of course it is dumb. Why else would a professional teacher be interested in knowing what is going on with her?
"I.. have been thinking a lot lately.."
"That I know." He prompted. "A silent one is the most dangerous one. You speak less but think a lot." He nodded for her to continue.
As for Sweety she was already beginning to feel paranoid. "Uh...um."
"Yes?"
"I miss my parents. I miss my sister, probably for the first time in my life." He had that look to which she explained, "My sister and I fight a lot when under one roof. That could be a relief for Mom and Dad to not have us scratching the other's hair." She smiled while saying that.
"What about your friends in hostel?" He noticed her smile disappearing to a normal one.
"They are fine. Last weekend we had a movie night because everyone tidied their rooms on time."
"You are happy with your family but still don't want to stay with them forever. And you don't like to stay with your friends but have to technically." His conclusions crawled her mind like a plague.
"Do you judge people only on that basis? I mean people change, they can behave different for different people." Rob merely was carrying out his activity that he searched into internet. The article told to depict a patient's behaviour and he copied some ideas from it.
"Is there an opinion from your side?" From her silence, he was convinced it was working.
"You should ask why I am feeling like that. Not conclusions but reasons matter in treating patients."
Rob eyed the girl meticulously, how did she know he was treating her like a patient. Well, if she had to go for this career she would marvel in her job.
"Why did you go for a Commerce background?"
"Huh?" The diversion of topic was new to her. "I-I was not good at Science, especially Biology. And Arts was not an option."
"According to your Dad?" He figured her father to be a prime influential figure in the family.
She nodded looking down. She was glad he did not comment on that as he asked next,
"Who are you comfortable with the most in this school?"
The basics went on, it was different from sitting quietly the entire time of 30 minuted counsel as if Mr. Wilson was testing her patience. But today he seemed friendly to her and she shared things with him she did not even say it to Nishi.
"I'll see you tomorrow on time?"
"Yes Sir." She departed greeting him goodbye. The second she was out of sight, he put back his earphones which began being too attached to his ears that it pained at times.
"Hey Ty, can't I get a speaker along with earphones? I feel like my ears will burst in few days!" He made a quick call to him.
"I'll courier it to you." It was the agreeing answer that made Rob sit up on his chair.
"Did you just say yes? You agreed to me for something?!" He checked the caller, yes it was him one and only- Tyler Matthews. "Are you doing fine?" He asked again.
"Shut up." There was silence after that until Tyler said, "Rob, when the locket went missing, you really did not find it until she got it back?"
Rob was sitting on his toes this time. "I told you already, that girl is a downright dumb person I have ever seen. Turns out, her friend told her to fake the lost locket as a precious diamond which made it finding easier for her. She got it back only because of her friend." He spat the last line with complete catastrophe.
He, himself was upset for losing the locket right from his finger tips. If Tyler found out he was going to betray him, the very next second he'll be in jail.
"And Rob?"
"Yeah?" Rob signed another assignment written by a student.
"Don't go too close to her." He stopped writing completely. "I get it you are trying to win her trust. Strategy is good but harmful too. When we stray too much into other's troubles we tend to forget our own."
"What about you? Why can you not keep away from this locket fiasco? How is your girlfriend feeling of you giving time to Sweety than her?" Now that he thought of it, he never got a chance to meet Tyler's girlfriend. Yet, annoying him once in a while was his long lasting forte.
"I am not the one who traveled miles to get back Gulf." Gulf, Tyler's invention locked into the locket which was the million dollar invention for the poor scientist.
"I am not the one who wanted to get all these miles for that damn thing!"
"It is also your mother's locket."
"Don't try and put this on me," Rob warned, "You don't care of my mother, it's your excuse to tell yourself you are doing a right thing."
"Whatever suits you." Tyler hung up, physically weary. He rubbed his eyes in effect then his gaze wandered on the stick board.
He searched for the girl Sweety Roulette and found a picture of her from Facebook. Granted it was the only picture she shared on internet, he stared at her face which reminded him of a girl he left behind years ago. He must have been 6 or 7 years when he last played with her.
