I wake up five hours later. The sun is setting and everyone is in the front room. Dad, mom, aunt Ellen and the doctor are in the kitchen while Elyon and his parents are by the front room window. Mentally I call to Elyon and he comes to check on me.
What's going on? Why am I so tired? Will I be okay if I shift?"
" The American Prince marked you. He put a dark magic shield over it like a tracker so he could find you. We are waiting for him and his family to show up to claim you as his. But in a few minutes I will take you upstairs to mark you myself. This will complete our bond and stop his claim."
Then he picks me up and takes me to my room. Ah he lays me on the bed he strips down, then climbs on himself.
For a minute he just holds me, then I feel Synergy moving, she is still tired but I feel her sending me strength and says Mark mate, you must mate.
He leans down and starts kissing me. As his hands travel all over my body my strength slowly starts coming back, then I start responding to him. Granted our first time wasn't what I wanted it to be but he was sweet and gentle and we successfully marked each other. Within five minutes my strength had returned to normal and I was able to focus properly. We go in and shower then slowly we go downstairs. Once we are in the front room Victor says," I take it things were successful. Good because the Prince and his family are coming now. I assume his mark is gone right. Because I see yours and she can only have one mark at a time on her body or it will kill her."
I look up at him and through our link I say," The mark we made the other day did that help or hurt me? I only started feeling bad this morning."
"But you we extremely tired yesterday. We will talk to you aunt about it later, just relax for now."
Mom, dad, and aunt Ellen come over and join us at the window. We all watch as the group of people make their way to the front door.
Victor does not wait he opens the door before anyone touches it.
"Well good evening my lady Amber how are you this fine night? And Jarrod how are you tonight? May I ask what has brought you out here?"
Prince Micheal steps forward and says my mate is here I know she is. I want her now."
Michael you will not be rude to the king. Apologize now. We will get your mate and be on our way. But you show respect to your elders."
"Yes mother, I'm sorry Sire I didn't mean to be rude, I just want my mate."
" Well Micheal I'm not sure who you came to see, but this is my son's mates family home and we have no other females here."
Annalise and aunt Ellen step forward as well.
Annalise smiles and says,"Victor let them inside so we may discuss this. They shouldn't wait at the door all night."
Then she turns to my parents and says," Since this is your house I ask if it's okay for our cousin's may enter."
My mother although pissed and hiding it very well says,"yes they may enter but I reserve the right to rescind the invitation."
Everyone shakes their head and enters the house. I feel something strange and ask Elyon about it. He tells me," the doctor is also a white witch and put protection charms as well as truth spells around the house and property so now any questions asked will be answered honestly no matter what, watch."
Victor let's everyone in, the king, queen, and Prince all sit on the couch while the two guards stay by the door. Then Victor says," Tell us about your mate Prince, can you feel her now?"
"Sire it is muted, I feel her close but I don't know."
"Then I would say she is not at this house. Maybe you should look somewhere else."
Visitor signals the doctor who simply snaps his fingers then the truth comes out.
"No Sire I scouted her pack for six months, once I chose her I then made a deal with a vampire pack to kill her pack. I made sure the vampires who slaughter her pack didn't kill the children and that after the slaughter of her pack the princess would be found by humans. She is to be mine I worked very hard to get her and I will have her. I don't care that she belongs to someone else I am royal she will be mine. I made sure these humans adopted her so I could find her before she shifted tonight. I have marked her once I know she's here."
" So what you are saying is you set her pack and family up to be killed and forced a mark on a child. Just so you could force a female who is not really your mate into being your mate. But as you can see it is only my son's mate here. So unless you are absolutely sure it was her you marked then you are still in the wrong place."
"I marked her. She was only two so I couldn't mate her. But I will tonight. Look on her right leg my mark and tracker are both there. I want my mate. I have put to much work into setting this up for you to keep her away from me."
Now while Victor and Micheal are talking both the doctor and Annalise are holding my aunt in place so she doesn't kill the Prince. Dad is holding mom because she is crying over what my pack went through. Elyon is holding me because I am shaking. And his parents are in shock by the way he just tells everyone in the room how he destroyed my family.
His father snaps out of it first and he turns to the guards," Take Micheal into custody. As of this day he is no longer a member of the Royal family. I forfeit my right as his father and king. Ellen I am truly sorry for your loss and what he has done to your family. As the eldest living member of the werewolf royal family you may decide his fate."
My aunt looks at each person in the room then she looks at me. I shake my head no. I don't want to see anyone else killed. So I just turn into Elyon's arms and close my eyes.
Aunt Ellen watches me for a moment and says," My niece and I have been put through enough, she was raised by wonderful people BUT I believe he should pay. He will be stripped of his title and the good doctor will put a shield around him that will only leave with his death. He will never find hid soulmate since he killed to steal someone else's soulmate. The Moon Goddess and the night god will give his soulmate a second chance mate. Now I want it done now. And then you can go home. Your highness I'm sorry but I think this is fair."
" Ellen it is more than fair. This man is no longer my son. And I am sorry for both of you and everything you have gone through. Doctor place the shield. My wife and I need to leave soon."
Queen Amber comes over to me and apologizes for what was done to me and my family then she gives me a hug. She does the same for aunt Ellen, Then she goes over to mom and dad and says," I'm sorry you were sucked into this. I hope you enjoyed your years with the princess. I am sorry you were lied to though."
Then she goes over to the king and queen and says," We are sorry to waste your time, we are sorry for the pain and discomfort and any embarrassment he might have caused."
Annalise smiles and says," We were able to stop any damage he would have created and her true mate saved her so we will let it go. You nor your mate had anything to do with it, the guilty party has been punished so we will let it go. Go in peace and forgiveness and let's not speak of it again."
Amber shakes her head then they leave with their guards.
Once the doctor is done with Michael he shimmers him to an unknown location. Then we sit down to rest and talk. Then mom, aunt Ellen, and Annalise get up and make dinner. They tell me to just sit down and relax. I had been through enough. Besides I needed to conserve my strength for the shift later.
