Chapter 9 - 8: Saved but unaware

"Oh shut up you will you! I don't want to hear anything from you anymore." Sinclair ruffled his black hair and pinched the bridge of his pointy nose irritably. He felt devastated of becoming the center of attention when something goes bad, an idea burst into his mind which was difficult to execute, because the people here would recognize him quickly and spread horrible news about him running over someone to the public. It won't take time before the news reached half of the city and reporters knocking down his door for hot gist. Sinclair wasn't really bothered about it at first, but the knowledge that it might reach his grandfather's ears didn't give him a choice.

Reluctantly, Sinclair told his driver 'Lois' to pick up the person he had knocked down and put him or her into the car while he picked up the scattered papers from the floor, in the car, then arrange them neatly inside a folder. Without making his presence known, Sinclair scoots aside to give some room to the unwanted occupant that might take half the space provided. Despite his reluctant help and the fear of fake news reaching his grandfather, Sinclair directed a very pissed glare at the opened door that was soon joined with a body.

Expecting to see an old lady or an unconscious man, he was rather astonished to see something more appealing, much worth the effort. Her light skin and brunette hair made him lost and completely drawn to her like an addiction. Lois gently placed the young woman inside the car so she was sitting upright and then close the door unknowingly to him his boss has taken a great fascination in her. She looked like she is in her early twenties or partially a teenager, nothing more than nineteen.

'darn- her brunette hair sprawled all over her face makes her really cute and gorgeous' Sinclair shamelessly made intense comments about her inside his mind, but he refuses to accept the feelings. Despite being in a situation like that, Sinclair could not help but admit to himself she did look appealing. He wasn't aware he stared longer than he wanted and moved to his side of the car when his senses began to return. Sinclair made sure all dirt on her was away from his expensive suit but made a mental reminder to get the car clean as soon as possible.

Sinclair didn't know when his mouth dropped open a drool escaped his lips and stain his jacket. He realizes it quickly and adjusted his position, but noticed someone staring at him weirdly from a mirror. Sinclair look up from his legs to find Lois staring at him with a confused amazed look. It made a light blush appear faintly on his cheeks. Sinclair composed himself and resumed being the tough boss he was known to be.

"Go on!"

He barked then motioned for Lois to drive them home without uttering another word or looking back at the gorgeous girl beside him. Sinclair chose to take her to his home knowing the incident will draw unnecessary attention of hungry reporters down the hospital who are already standing by with their cameras, microphones and stupid notepads he hated.

In other not to experience such unfortunate fate, Sinclair was left with no option to do what he never planned, then he has to call 'Kim' his personal doctor to check on her for serious injuries before sending her away, that way he is able to avoid desperate reporters and monitor her recovery evidently.

Few minutes during the ride Sinclair felt her stir from where she sat while he tried focusing on work. He was soon drawn to her movements when she placed herself to lay down but stopped when it turned into a slight groan and protest her body signaled to her brain. Sinclair watched how her chest rose and fell in fast rhythms before regulating itself.

As if Orva knew she wasn't in the familiar environment of Mark's Candy and was surrounded by cool air instead of the scorching heat from the sun. She jerked up in fear as her eyes roam around frantically before setting eventually on the handsome billionaire sitting beside her. Those brief moments she stared at him nothing registered into her mind, not even his features lingered in her head, only words and the action to 'get out!' was her focus.

"I need to go now. I need to leave now." She urged without looking at Sinclair's face and pulled eagerly at the door handle which was locked from the driver's side. Sinclair had a crazed unbelievable look directed at a panicked Orva as if she'd grown two heads suddenly. Sinclair also noticed Lois had a similar expression on his face through the rear view mirror. They both thought how crazy it was for Orva to think jumping out of a moving car in the middle of the road was safe and the smartest thing to do, it didn't make sense but Sinclair was glad Lois did a smart thing by locking the doors.

"You can't get out because the car is in motion." Sinclair told her plainly, expecting she would understand and stop being weird. It didn't calm Orva but made her worried and persistent.

"Then I'll scream." She threatened.

"Are y-" Sinclair started and was cut off by Orva's scream.

Orva screamed loudly while pounding on the glass window to get the attention of people who were outside.

"Help me this psycho wants to kidnap me!" She screams and pounds louder on the window hoping to break it which didn't break or get the attention of anyone.

"Quiet woman I am not kidnapping you!" Sinclair snapped irritably at her. He was careful not to get any smell or dirt from her on him so he stayed in his side.

"Yes you are! Help me! Somebody!!!"

"I am warning you for the last time, stop this madness, I am only trying helping you. It is you who needs to stop acting crazy." He warned for the last time and reach out to tap her on the shoulder that turned to be a mistake. Orva accidentally elbowed him on the temple out of reflex and kept on pulling on the door handle to get free.

"Help! Rapist! Rapist! Kidnapper!" She continues to scream but was unaware no one can hear or see her due to the tinted glass of the car and soundproof windows.

Sinclair cussed at the sudden pain but remained calm and collected, he wasn't going to lay his hand on a woman no matter what. He so got mad at her that he told his driver to stop the car and let her out immediately. Lois tried making him annoyed which he later regretted.

"Lois stop the car and get this mad woman out of here!" He yells in frustration while trying to control his anger by pinching the bridge of his nose. He seem mad that she would call him names when he was trying to help her.

"Sir, right here or there?" Lois ask.

"Are you mad Lois? I said drop the crazy woman!" Sinclair screams at him unexpectedly.

Orva froze in place, shocked by his rudeness and confronts him. "Excuse me flat face did you just call me a madwoman?" She questions with an intention to fight back when she remembered her uncle must be wondering where she was. With a hard heavy heart and a deathly glare, Orva yanked the door open just when Lois stepped on the break and unlocks the door.

She didn't wait a second and Immediately sprints out of the car into an empty street with Sinclair looking annoyed and amazed at the same time, it messed up his thoughts.

"She is one hell of a crazy psycho who wants to die." Lois commented and tried going with the flow but Sinclair was not feeling up to it and glared hard at his driver for using such words against Orva.

"You better get moving or you will join her." Sinclair threw back

"I'm sorry sir." Lois apologizes and starts the car again.

"Maybe I should have let her die then she won't have a mouth to talk back." Sinclair grit to himself and his jaw tightened in anger, he felt so angry and disturbed she was willing to do such a dangerous stunt just to get out. 'what if she had been crushed by another moving car or hurt herself badly?' Sinclair ponders.

Sinclair snapped his head so fast at Lois it almost made a snapping sound, he points a long finger at him. "You are the reason this happened you know that."

"But sir-" Lois tried to object which he was stopped instantly.

"Drive!" Sinclair commanded giving no room for explanation. With a sigh, Lois continued driving without saying another word. "You better get this car all cleaned up before I set my eyes on it again." Sinclair reminds him.

"Yes sir." Lois replied with a small voice.
