When Edward's preparation was finished, he came over to the stretcher and stared at my open stitches with his dark eyes. "It doesn't look good at all," he said talking to himself. What he really said made me feel very comfortable(!)
"I'm scared anyway…" I said, squinting at his face. "I don't know if you're trying to make me more afraid of what you said." Edward pulled his eyes away from my open stitches and smiled into my eyes, but his smile didn't last for a few seconds. When he immediately turned his serious gaze to Pars, I held Pars's hand close to me tightly and looked into his green eyes as if begging. Pars, on the other hand, was looking at Edward with emotionless eyes.
