Aven pulled Sky out the door and around the wall. Another two males raced out of the opening as a wall of sand, dirt, and rock blew out of the room with a thunderous boom. There was a crash that shook the walls followed by a loud grinding. Then silence.
Sky coughed. A thick cloud of dust permeated the hallway. Aven waved a hand and the cloud of dirt dropped to the ground.
A discordant chiming filled the air as Aven grabbed Sky by the shoulders and looked over her.
"Are you alright?" He asked.
A familiar female voice announced, "Mass Casualty situation at the indoor practice courts. All healers report there immediately. I repeat all healers to the indoor practice courts now."
"Sky?" Aven asked. "Did something hit your head?" Sky blinked.
"No, I'm fine." She panted. "Is Jin okay? What- What happened?" Aven closed his eyes for a minute. Then grimaced.
"I can't-"
