Jades' absolute relief when she finally located Thana could almost make her collapse. Her legs were exhausted from having to walk around the marketplace checking every corner and alleyway for Thana. She also had to make a couple of stops at the meeting place they have agreed to before lunch thinking that Thana might have decided to wait for her there.
But after checking at least three times, she met only with the coachman waiting by their carriage looking bored and tired from the heat. There were no signs of Thana nor Madam Harriet being back.
And so, she thought that Thana would have taken the initiative to just carry out her responsibilities since she had everything she needed. Knowing how Thana can be, this was most likely what she would do. The list, the basket and the money were with Thana since she refused to have Jade take care of it. She would have been happier to be away from Jade.
