Chapter 53 - Avoiding the Battle

Seeing Thomas get up again with a weak smile on his face only made Luccas angrier.

"How can his body be so though. Damn it, is this guy a monster? He is only at the level of a peak third-stage Adept at most."

Once his primary objective was fulfilled, Thomas gaze fell onto his childhood friend. It was a mystery to why that bright and playful kid back then had grown to be such a venomous youth. Yet even now he didn't really want to have him as an enemy and so he said. "Luccas, even though I don't know what dealings your family has with that terrorist organization, nor the reasons that changed you so much. I really don't want to fight you, not like this..."

Luccas was cursing in his mind as he reminded of the past, and his expression changed into a gloomy one. As the young heir to a giant such as the Kyle group, that empate with Thomas was an stain to his name that couldn't be erased.

Yet he didn't really mind that first given their former friendship, though his own father had given him quite the beating for not upholding the name of the Kyle family.

It was only in the selection when he saw the incredible speed at which Thomas evolved did he start to harbor evil thoughts again.

How could somebody always stuck at the bottom suddenly rise like that?

"Don't talk to me as if could know what I'm feeling. Thomas, if you don't want to die fight me with everything you have!" Complex Cyan-colored patterns and glyphs covered the surface of his right arm. At that moment, he was reminded of the things his father told him that Thomas should be captured alive. But all the feelings of hatred seemed to cloud his senses.

Thomas slowed down. Others may not know what these glyphs are, but he can read them instantly thanks to the system that translates everything for him.

"Paras?"

Thomas murmured the word. He was now sure the present Luccas wasn't somebody he could face head on, even without that sword of his...

Without showing any emotions, Thomas merely extended his hand to the air and....

Shaalala*

*Creak*

Two bright lights popped up right before him as an extremely ancient aura. Sound of bones creaking then breaking, pieces of a battle armor falling to the ground as dark red luminous dots merged into his body.

At the same time, his silhouette hidden by the flares started growing exponentially into an unhuman shape.

Inside the majestic palace of deities.

"Ah-ha! Our kid has done something, his strength is growing at an alarming rate." Ares stood up while slapping the table with both hands.

The other gods next to him all showed signs of approval. They didn't thought Thomas would be able to utilize fusion skills so soon.

Zeus and Poseidon were the first to agree. "Such powerful energy! He must have infused the power of three skills directly into his body. That is a really good skill for that kid. Let's wait to see what he does next."

Some distance away, a frail man with a large hole on his stomach, his eyes were filled with light as he recognized the skill being used.

Before Luccas' very eyes, he saw how a thin youth transformed into monstrous humanoid form over seven meters tall.

With a bronze-colored muscular body and a physique worthy of a Titan, the eight meter tall still shared the safe facial features as that of Thomas. The only different was that both his gigantic body and face seemed a little blurry, with a thin layer of energy surrounding his body.

"Is this enough?" Thomas turned to the Luccas and asked. He was satisfied with what he did just done.

The variant version of the Titan God's Hand, the Titan God's Shadow... It was through watching several tv shows and reading fiction novels that gave him the idea to use these skills on his body.

Thomas believed that this skill would show incredible power if he could apply the Titan god's shadow onto his own body.

Does he really have to admit defeat? That's impossible!

If this had happened to his past self, then admitting defeat would be the only way to survive. Unfortunately, Thomas wasn't the same youth he used to be, he's now possessed the knowledge and memories of multiple gods.

Thomas had experienced countless fights be it through the eyes of Prometheus, Bonher or Dike. Each of them were extraordinary and had been through many life and death experiences. Despite the immense power Luccas wielded, It doesn't matter if it's his attitude or experience, he was confident on being miles ahead of Luccas.

Finally, Luccas' momentum climbed to the peak. The attack he was brewing was ready to be unleashed. He became extremely arrogant, and his face had a cruel smile. All he wanted was to beat Thomas, and prove to himself his superiority.

"Haha Thomas, I admit this trick of yours is pretty impressive! Good, this is perfect, you're just courting death!"

Luccas was laughing out loudly when the whole ground trembled.

All they saw was the Titan Thomas leaping forward, his huge body of him grew closer and closer like a mountain.

"Take this!" Thomas seemed like he was about to unleash his move when he instead kicked the stone wall.

Given his current physical strength, the wall shattered and dashed into the hole he caused.

"...." Luccas was still standing at the same place, his hands filled with incredible power.

Slowly his eyes swept through the field and upon seeing his fallen subordinates then staring back at the hole on the wall which was already repairing itself.

He could only laugh at himself for being played by Thomas this whole time. Only now did he perform Thomas wasn't planning on facing him from the very beginning.

"Hmph!" Now that he had no reason to hold onto his energy, Luccas simply unleashed all that accumulated energy at his back before heading back. Waves of wind carried the subordinates right behind him.

The cyan energy he had shot out then exploded, numerous tornadoes surged and completely decimated all the statues, buildings, and other relics around that place.
