Once he felt his reserves of anima energy escaping his control. Thomas just stood frozen, not being able to move a muscle due to his own energy restricting his movements.
He tried to fell the interior of his body, but there was nothing wrong with it.
Without knowing how or why, even a blind man could see it was that cat-eyed pearl doing all of this! Thomas was stunned about this discovery for a second before calming down. Even if the anima energy couldn't obey his order, it was unknown whether the more formidable demonic energy sleeping inside him.
Truth be told, he didn't want to jump to that especially in the middle of the city. He may have had a lot of luck on hiding his demonic physique, but who know what would happen if it is discovered.
Thomas was conflicted about using his his demonic energy.
"Patetic, just like a expected from an Adept." Gazzel was quite happy with himself at that moment. With this treasure in his hands even the powerful elite adept would suffer against him.
Immediately, four Necros appeared appeared and went to pick up both him and the flame empress.
With his body being tied by the emotionless Necros, Thomas evaluated the situation.
'I can probably beat him if I decide to reveal some of my hidden cards, but should I do it? From what I heard from the flame empress and that devilish man talking, his organization was behind what happened to the institution. '
Memories from the past flashed past his eyes. The moments struggle, loneliness ... the pain from being neglected by others, all those feelings left a deep mark in his heart.
Once again his senses picked up familiar contempt coming from that guy's stare. He seems to not think much of him.
Nothing hurt the past him more than being looking down upon, but now he had the system, the memories of true living gods, what should he keep holding back?
Instead of loss or pain, there was only resentment and hatred. Once the seed of these feelings was planted in his heart, it grow uncontrollably.
All this while, neither Thomas or Gazzel could see thin threads extending from the bodies of all the Necros towards Thomas.
He couldn't understand why, but once these thoughts surfaced on his mind, it was hard to stop of wave of negative feelings. Once his heart was about to burst, a line of notifications popped up in the air.

[The deities of the system are watching you.]
After several lines of notification, a purple glint shone in his eyes.
Boooom!
A shockwave threw the middle-aged man's body several dozen feet away.
"This! How it's possible!"
Gazzel tried to get up from the ground and was left speechless but the scene before his eyes...
The previous abandoned candy factory where he was just a second ago has been replaced by lonesome plains which extended until the eyes could see.
Yet, the sky was dark and without a single spec of light other a single giant moon hovering in the sky.
"!" The man thought he saw something next to the moon but he couldn't be sure of it. Despite all the modification his body suffered he was not much better than normal human, and the moon was too far away for him to see anything.
Suddenly he heard heavy footsteps and turned round before having his eyes slowly widen.
The young man from before had appeared once again, but he was completely different from before.
His hand had turned into claws, his pupils turned into a pair of bright purple full moons and mysterious patterns filled his whole body. In this form, Thomas gazed at his hands, feeling stunned at himself. The feeling of having so much power was exhilarating. Never would he have expected his demon form to be so strong thought he knew this effect was only temporary.
He may not have been to the frontlines, yet he knew very well what was the being standing before him.
Once he realized that, the previous arrogant look disappeared in a instant as he stuttered. "D-d-demon?!"
He hurriedly stepped back while waving his arms. From that thin black pearl, dozens and more dozens of black-clad Necros poured out.
Soon reaching the total amount of a hundred and five. Those Necros looked exactly the same as the others, with strength varying between 1-star and 2-star Adepts. From the looks of it, it was a lot harder to make 3-star Necros than the previous two.
Gazzel thought even a high-class demon would find it hard to win against so many at once.
"I don't have the time to play with say." Said Thomas before reaching out with his hands. Instead of fighting, all the Necros knelt down and bowed with their heads hitting the ground.
Necros weren't considerable living beings once they were transformed by the curse as even their emotions and free will would be lost. However, Thomas could feel a strong reverence directed at him as if subjects paying respects to their king.
Seeing how easily the Necros which he pay a incredibly high price to create changed sides made his face go green with terror.
After a few moments inspecting the changes in his body, Thomas' gaze was locked onto the dark pearl.
"Come!"
An invisible force spread out, suddenly the cat-eyed peal which the man held his chest as he's pulled towards the purple-eyed Thomas who grabbed the pearl with his left hand.
As for his hand his hand, strange purple mist swept over the man who felt as if the same power that stole his treasure was seeping into his body.
Her body slowly floated and flew towards Thomas and his will. The man knew it was time when he took a good look at the face in front of him, it was very different, but the resemblance made to an appearance of him that should have been dead was very shocking to him.
"Y-you! Henr..."
Once his hand was a inches away from the man's forehead and denying any chance for the man to finish his last words, Thomas uttered in a dark, cold voice.
[Soul Devour]
Under the giant purple moon, painful screams echoed through the plains.
