Once it melt into his body, Thomas immediately grew familiar to it. He was became able to understand some of the uses and abilities of the black pear.
"Avaritia!" Thomas uttered the word and the black pearl immediately emerged, floating next to his right shoulder. Seeing it worked, Thomas pointed at the necros that were still curved on the ground and the other necros that were unconscious on the ground.
The source of the "Curse" was a lot weaker, yet he could that the ominous energy inside their bodies didn't vanish completely and is slowly recovering to its former state.
Feeling his intentions, the black orb that looked like a cat's eye seemed to transformed into a thin singularity which took all the necros to its interior before melting back into Thomas' body.
No matter what Gazzel and his people used them for they are still innocent people. The least Thomas could do is keep them inside the orb until he finds a way to reverse what was done to them.
By this point, Thomas has already started to feel the immense power inside him leak out of his body.
"Urg, I don't know how much time do I have..." Being first time he went full demon form, he didn't know its aftereffects or how long he could keep in this form. All he knew is that he need to escape this place, but before that he had to help the flame empress that was laying down just over....
"This!" When Thomas gauze fell on the Flame Empress that she was unconscious after wasting all her energy in that last move.
Her face was sickly pale, eyes were closed but she could feel the intense wave of steam emanating from her body.
Slowly her bright scarlet hair lost its color, her astonishing beautiful face and slim body started deforming.Thomas could hear sounds of bones crackling as both her facial features grew more and more ordinary.
Yet Thomas was looking at all of this with disbelief, but then he showed some understanding when he started recognizing the eyes, nose, chin...
"So is this what he meant by mixed... I see it now." Thomas sighed as he watched that mysterious genius adept turn into a old friend of his...
It wasn't that much of a surprise seeing the Flame Empress had transformed into Clarisse. In fact, Thomas himself felt it made sense comparing to some of her reactions when they first met.
"It doesn't matter if she's Clarisse or not, I can't leave her here." Thomas walked towards Clarisse and took her in his arms. Among all the innate abilities of his Moonshadow form, there was the ability [Shadow Walker].
It wasn't that powerful of a ability, but he could walk through shadows as the name implied. As he held Clarisse, Thomas simply thought of merging with her shadows, as the shadow beneath her feet widened and took them both inside.
...
In a few seconds, Thomas emerged from the shadows inside his bedroom while holding Clarisse in his arms. His aprimored senses, didn't detect any presence which meant his mother wasn't home yet.
*Beep Beep*
Upon looking at his wrist computer, his mom had sent him a text;
[Mom: Son, I will staying the night in your aunt Lisa's house. There is pasta and some fried chicken on the fridge, don't forget to take a showed and brush your teeth before bed. Also....]
The text followed for another couple lines before Thomas finished reading it. He was unsure if bringing her here would be the best choice since she wanted to keep her identity a secret.
'Ohh well, I should wait a least before she wakes up. It won't take long any way. Leaving Clarisse sleeping on the living room, Thomas went straight to the bathroom.
"Ehh?!" The second his eyes fell on the mirror, Thomas couldn't believe in what he saw. Despite his demonic power growing fainter by each second, his demonic form hadn't vanished at all and so he got to inspect his moonshadow form.
His eyes were purple, no, more like violet. His hair had grown longer and had a tint of purple as well.
What Thomas found strange had been his ears that had become a lot pointer. If not for the two small horns hidden in his hair, Thomas would have believed he had become an Elf and not a demon.
"Well, it doesn't look that bad. In fact don't a look pretty handsome like this?" When looking closely at his face, it did in fact look a lot better. The changes were so big he felt even his mom won't recognize him.
Thomas took a shower and changed into clean clothes when he heard noises coming from downstairs. Luckily to him, his demonic looks were gone by the time he left the bathroom.
"Has she woken up?" Thomas went downstairs and saw Clarisse standing next to the stars. In her hands was the sword she used previously, she gazed at him with eyes filled with suspicion.
Without waiting for her to ask any question Thomas opened his mouth. "Don't worry, I'm do not belong to that organization and neither with the government with that's what you are thinking."
What surprised him was that instead of replying , She held onto her head as if feeling pain.
"Ahhrg, what in the hell happened? How did I arrive here?" She seemed to be asking herself when she lowered her head. Thomas instinctively stepped forward to help her but stopped. He didn't know what was happening and neither how he could do anything to help.
After a few moments, Clarisse began to stabilize as she slowly lowered her sword and raised her face to have a look at Thomas. It was impossible to know what was on her mind when she suddenly chucked.
"Hehe, from the way you are looking at me I believe you have meet her. My other self, I mean."
