[Third Person's Point of View]
It was past seven in the morning when they all heard the ringing of the bell, that is the signal that the game was about to begin and they did not know what the outcome might be.
It was as if some little animal was running into their chest because of the uneasy feeling. They can't figure out what to think and do.
"G-Guys? H-How are we going to survive?" Alliyah's question to all of them as she feels that she's going to be insane any moment. Tears are also starting to flow from her eyes.
No one wants to speak out or answer Alliyah's question. Some are still even blank-minded. The bell continued to ring, it then stopped after only about a minute.
"I think we need to separate ways, we should follow the rules" Nicole broke the silence and she started to stand up and fix herself. She tied her hair up to her shoulders and wiped away some tears that she hadn't noticed had just slipped away.
There must be a way.
Nicole knew to herself, but she still didn't know what these ways are and where to find them.
Even though fear prevailed in their emotions, everyone started to get better except Alliyah who is still in a daze of crying.
"We're all going to die, w-we're all going to die" were the only words Alliyah uttered between her sobs, followed by a loud whimper that echoed throughout the room.
Keisha immediately came beside her, she sat down next to her and gave her a hug "Shh, n-no one's dying okay?" The only thing Keisha could say even though she was not sure of what she said.
"I-I don't want to be separated with you, I-I don't want to be alone"
"But we have to, you'll be safe Alliyah, you just need to follow the rules and you'll be fine"
Clark made a loud sigh and at the same time angrily took a step toward the door.
Before he fully came out, he turned to his friends who were still calming Alliyah.
"We are currently in hell and you guys really think that we're actually safe? You better use your brains, idiots. If you all want to die, then be it, I will save myself and find a way to get out of this hell!" he shouted and then stepped out of the room.
"We need to get out of here, Alliyah please calm yourself, when you did, find some place where you can hide yourself" Nicole said and she totally fix herself.
This was followed by others who had also prepared themselves for the possible events.
"I-isn't this too selfish?" Alexis asked as she also began to get eaten by fear.
"No, this isn't. This is called surviving until we finally find a solution for all of this. Whoever did all this, most likely, he planned every damn thing. So he has to be followed if we don't want things to get worse" Nicole answered and she started to step out the door.
"A-Alliyah, be careful, we'll meet again. Find a place where you can hide" Lexie told her friend and gave her a tight hug.
All of them had already left the room except Alliyah who is until now still could not stop the flow of her tears.
Alliyah couldn't do anything but hug herself.
No other sound could be heard throughout the room but Alliyah's faint crying. A few seconds later, she heard an unusual noise from outside which resulted in her momentary cessation of crying.
She wiped away the tears and decided to go down to bed to look at the crackle she heard.
"L-Lexie? C-clay? X-Xander? Are you guys there?" Alliyah softly calls to her friends as she slowly makes her way out.
Alliyah stopped walking when she heard heavy footsteps that seemed to grow louder with each passing second.
Alliyah slightly backed away causing her to sit on the floor. "W-who's t-there?" are the only words she was able to say between her sobs.
[Alexis' Point of View]
We never saw Clark again because he had left the room so much earlier than we did. Even Nicole, Dexter, Keisha, Daniel, Kean said goodbye as well. Only Brix, Shane and I were together, I didn't notice that the other three separated either.
"A-Are you sure we're safe even if we're together?" I asked the two as the three of us walked down through the part of the hall.
They didn't answer and we just kept walking fast as if we were already running. They were both in front of me and they're holding each other hands as they walked.
"H-Hey are you sure with this?" I asked the two of them again and we reached the other end of the hall.
While we were going out earlier, I heard them say that we could go together so I went with them both.
I ran a little faster to get in front of them and then blocked them. "W-wait, I've been asking you two, why aren't you answering me?"
They just looked at each other and then moved their eyes around. I'm starting to get annoyed because it seems like they're the only two who understand each other.
The three of us are friends here but why do I seem out of place with these two?
"Hey what's up with you two?! You've been ignoring me!" I scolded which caused them to panic.
"Why are you shouting?! What if they hear us?! Are you stupid?!" Brix shouted back at me, which surprised me.
I couldn't help but be annoyed even more. Did he just call me stupid?
I would have answered when the two of them suddenly faced each other and hugged. My forehead frowned as I can't remember the two being close to each other.
"S-Shane, be careful, we'll meet later, please don't die okay?" Brix said to Shane and she nodded in succession. Brix hugged her tightly again and kissed her on the forehead.
Wait, what? What the actual fuck is happening here? What was that for?
Brix eventually ran in the other direction and that's when I realized that Shane would do the same thing.
I held her hand as fast as I could. "Wait up, Shane" she glares at me as she takes back her hand.
Why do I feel like the Shane that is in front of me now is totally different with the Shane I know? We're friends here, right? Everybody knows that gossiping is what Shane good at but she was never mean to anyone, she never glared at me like this before.
"What? What do you want?" I ignored the way she responded and the tone in her voice, I decided to answer her question instead. "I-I thought it's alright if we are together? Why did you separated ways with Brix?"
She released a heavy sigh as she rolled her eyes. "Don't be too fucking stupid, Alexis. Didn't you hear what Nicole said earlier? We have to follow the rules. Now, I'm leaving before I'm doomed because of you! Get out of my fucking way!"
I was stunned by Shane's behavior and then I just heard her quick footsteps away from where I was standing.
I stayed where I was for a few seconds and didn't notice that my cheeks were wet with tears again.
Fuck these tears, do I know nothing but to cry?
I quickly rubbed my cheek and decided to run and find a place to hide.
I guess, I really have to survive alone.
[Clay's Point of View]
"A-Alliyah would be fine, right? She's going to be okay, right?" I shudder to question Lexie and Xander.
I knew they would doubtfully nod. Even me, I know it's not the answer to my questions.
We really shouldn't have left Alliyah alone there, she couldn't stand to take that kind of situation.
"W-We need to separate ways already, we might get caught up in what we're doing" Lexie said as she burst into tears.
I feel sorry for my friends, we don't deserve this. We're not belong here because they're the only ten who are really together.
I let out a deep sigh before I spoke "You two need to separate, hide where you can't just be found, I'll get Alliyah back there in the room"
I even heard them call my name and they try to stop me, but I made up my mind. Alliyah is my close friend and I will not forgive myself if something bad happens to her.
Although I moved quickly to the room where we last saw Alliyah, I still decided to be careful with every step.
When I got inside the room, I carefully moved my eyes across the whole area.
I could not even trace Alliyah's shadow.
I tried to bend over to see the bottom of each bed and assumed she was just hiding in there, but I still couldn't find her.
I also went to the bathroom and think that maybe she had a thought of hiding there, but I still couldn't find anything.
I just sat on the floor. I tweaked myself because of the annoyance and anger I was feeling to myself.
I shouldn't have left her alone. This is all my fucking fault.
This can't be.
A few minutes passed and a thought suddenly crossed my mind that maybe she was just hiding. That she is safe. We told her that she should hide, maybe that's what she actually did?
If I were Alliyah, where would I go? Where would I choose to hide? At the place where I'm comfortable with, where I'm totally aware of every single corner.
Wait.
She's in the library! Right! Alliyah likes a lot of books, and library has been her comfort zone.
When I came up with that idea, I didn't hesitate to stand up and find her in the library.
But I had just taken a few steps towards the door when the sound of the bell rang all around, a few seconds passed and it stopped.
As the bell stops ringing, the speaker then creates a sound. I stopped walking and think of what I should do. I didn't know the reason why my heartbeat seemed to speed up, I was suddenly nervous at what I might hear.
"Proceed to the gymnasium. I repeat, proceed to the gymnasium area" which I immediately obeyed.
When I arrived at the gymnasium I also caught up with the others who were already there, Lexie and Xander immediately greeted me.
"Clay, did you see Alliyah in the room?" Xander asked and I looked at Lexie's questioning face.
I shook as a response. I looked around the hall and noticed that we were all here, except Alliyah.
I suddenly remembered where I was supposed to go so I thought of doing that because maybe Alliyah was still there. "I already know where she is, I'll take care of—"
I stopped speaking when the lighting of the projector that was now facing the wall of the stage caught the attention of all of us.
It is set up and has a laptop next to it. It gives off white light. The picture was still blurry but later it became clear and I was shocked that it was a video where Alliyah was sitting in a chair, her hand tied behind her back and with a gag in her mouth.
I almost lost my breath in the ensuing events.
[Third Person's Point of View]
The video played continuously on the projector as they all asked themselves questions.
Alliyah's cries followed as she begged to be released. This was followed by her very loud whimper because of the fear she feels.
Seconds after, a man wrapped in a black cloth and wearing a mask appeared in the video. This is also the man who shot Sierra before.
Alliyah trembled even more when she saw the man. He was holding a pesticide bottle. He even showed the bottle close to the camera as if he was teasing the audience.
Without hesitation, he removed the handkerchief from Alliyah's mouth and vulgarly poured the contents of the bottle into it. Alliyah's mouth began to bubble until its very blood came out of her mouth.
The man approached the camera again and spoke. "First clue, there is a deceiver among your group" it was followed by a silly laugh. They all knew about the given clue but they didn't expect it to be true.
Moments after, the video turned black and they were all stunned at what they witnessed.
