[Xander's Point of View]
I almost throw up by what I witnessed, I couldn't stand seeing that my own friend was vomiting her own blood. I also can't just imagine the pain I saw on her face.
Pesticide.
That asshole gave her bottle of pesticide! What have we done wrong to him that made him do this to us?
I don't remember any incident in our lives that we did something so bad and now we are being avenged for that. And Alliyah, she is the kindest of the four of us, she is the most caring.
But now that she's gone, I can't believe within a snap, I will no longer be able to be with someone I considered as a family.
"Alliyah! No! This can't be!" I heard Lexie scream and followed by a very loud sob, she ran to the stage to approach the laptop and projector.
Clay and I immediately followed her.
Every step I made, it feels so damn heavy, it feels like any moment my body will give up on its own.
We still hope that Alliyah is still alive and what we saw in the video was not real.
When Lexie got close to the laptop and projector, she immediately checked the contents, but she just shook her head and continued crying.
Lexie couldn't stand what's happening that she landed on the floor, Clay and I sat down to calm her down. "S-Shh, t-that's enough Lexie, it's hard for us, too" Clay said and his tears started to drip.
I approached them both and hugged them tightly. I couldn't do nothing but hug them. I know it won't ease the heaviness we feel right now, but I know somehow I can make them feel like we're still here for each other.
I heard a few footsteps and looked in the direction where the laptop and projector are located. Nicole, Brix and Shane were walking towards it.
"You're good at hacking Brix, aren't you?" I heard Shane talked and saw Brix nod.
"Go check what's inside the laptop, check all the details, we might find something" Nicole added and I looked again in the direction of the laptop.
Brix was just about to take a step when the laptop's screen suddenly turned into black. Surprisingly, he approached the laptop and looked if it would still work but it only disappoints him.
I just gasped for breath. I looked back at Clay and Lexie who were now calm and the tears had dried.
Alliyah is really gone, I just hope that none of happening is real.
Clark.
After what happened in that hall, we all quietly went back to the room.
I don't know if I'm the only one trying to think and piece it all together. Other events are too vague. I still can't really think of a reason why this is happening.
I looked at everyone for a while but they were still in the same state, some are crying, the others are obviously scared. Will they be forever worthless? Instead of crying, why don't they just think? Anyway, I don't even know if they really have a brain to use.
I looked at Nicole and her face was very serious again as she stares at the white ceiling. Yes, she is the smartest person in our room, but at this point, I don't know that she could be this stupid. All I hear from her is "there must be a way", but I don't know if she really has contributed something.
I was annoyed again, I remember again when she threw our cell phones at the gate. Stupid bitch.
I turned my attention to Daniel who is currently staring at something I can't even describe, blank is the only expression I can see on his face. This weird kid is also a different kind, I know he has a lot of thoughts in his mind, but he just doesn't want to talk about it, he's still an idiot for that.
I let out a loud sigh and that was enough to get everyone's attention. "What? Doesn't anyone want to speak out their opinions? Are you all going to stay silent there?"
After saying those words, I felt Lexie's sharp eyes and I didn't like the tone of her speech. "What the actual fuck? Are you even serious?! Do you think this is easy for us?!"
I smiled sarcastically at her and then stepped closer to her. "Why? What do I care if it's not easy for you? Will your tears bring Alliyah back to life?"
Lexie's right hand quickly landed on my cheek and then my friends grabbed me when I tried to retaliate.
"We're not belong here, we didn't want to be here!" she was still screaming and that made my jaw tightened even more. "You're right, you don't really belong in this group" I laughed sarcastically as I walked back to my bed.
"But it's okay, and at least we're not the only ones who will suffer in this hell, you too—"
"Clark that's enough" Dexter interrupted me which made me quiet. He is really the only friend I consider in this room.
For a few seconds, the whole area was filled with silence and I decided to speak again because I remembered something. "Lexie, you said your group doesn't belong here, right?" I got the attention of them all again.
I got up again from sitting on my bed and went to the front of Kean's bed. He confusedly looked at me, I haven't been able to finish what I'm about to say but I feel like he's nervous already.
That's right, you should be scared.
"On Sunday, we went here to school but we caught you inside, then Kean approached Lexie's group and spoke with each other" I slightly bent down to approach Kean's face "Is that right?" he just dodged and distanced himself.
"How long have you been close to each other? Aside from the computer and online games that Kean is addicted to, we're the only group he's close with"
"T-They're our classmates too, I-I don't see anything wrong with being friends with them!" Kean answered loudly but I could hear the fear in his voice.
"Why do you seem nervous? Are you hiding something? Should we know something? What's really going on in that online game? The first clue was that we have the deceiver, can't it be you?"
I asked a series of questions and at that point, I saw sweat slowly dripping from his face.
[Kean's Point of View]
I don't really know what Clark issue with me is, and why he thinks like that. I really wanted to punch him in the face with all my strength, but I remember we are friends here, he is my friend and we had a lot of good memories together.
But why do I seem to be the only one who remembers that? Why does he seem to have forgotten that?
We're friends here, aren't we? At this point, I doubt if we are really friends.
"W-What are you trying to say? I-I just really saw that game!" I answered. I can't control the apprehension I feel because everyone might believe in him and think that I really am the deceiver here.
I was startled when Clark came slightly closer to me and grabbed my shoulder tightly "Tell me, what else we have to know?" I tried to put away his hands but he's too strong.
"What the fuck are you doing?! I already told you! I don't know anything about that stupid game! Why won't you believe me?!" I shouted at him and I was able to push him with all my strength.
He would have tried to punch me but Dexter and Keisha stopped him. "Because you act suspiciously, asshole! There's something you're not telling us, I can obviously see it on your stupid face!" He answered and finally went back to his bed.
"That's enough Clark, there's no point if we keep blaming Kean, and he has nothing to do with it" Dexter said and then looked at me, asking if I'm okay
Dexter will always way better, not as bad as his best friend Clark, I really don't know why they became close friends, while their personalities are way too different from each other.
I felt Keisha sit on my bed. She patted my back lightly. "Are you okay? Please be patient Clark. Maybe he's just frustrated with everything that's happening" She said and I couldn't say a word. I just nodded.
"Don't you think this is just their plan?" Nicole's voice was low but that was enough to make us all turn our attention to her. "What do you mean?" I asked and she sparingly smiled in my direction.
After a while, she got up from sitting on her bed and went to the front of me.
"Come to think of it, what if this is really his plan? That we will all blame each other because that's what they say? We don't even know if they're telling us the truth, what if that man in the mask is the real deceiver here? And not Kean, or anyone here in this room" It was a lengthy statement. A total silence formed in the whole room again.
"And didn't you all notice? The first clue that he said is that there is a deceiver among us, he already said that from the very beginning, we are not dumb enough to believe that. Besides, we're friends here—" What she was saying was cut short when Clark suddenly intercepted.
"Oh come on Nicole, do you really think that we really are friends here?" Clark's sarcastic question and he even emphasize the word friends.
I'm starting to get anxious again about what the two of them, about the argument that might be created. Knowing Clark, he never let himself lost on something, even though he is obviously wrong.
The tension between the two grew even more when Clark went in front where Nicole is standing. "What if that clue is real and so he mentioned it again to let us know that it's not a joke" Clark continued.
"Yes, we aren't that really close with each other. But we had memories, those happy ones. I don't think someone among us could do all of this. We knew to ourselves we are not capable to do such thing—"
"Are you really sure that we know each other? What do you know about me? I'm Clark, who is bossy, who is arrogant, and other than that? You don't know shit about me and the same as yours" Clark's answer was firm and I felt like they were all taken aback by it, even me, I don't know who is right between them.
"Clark is somehow right" Daniel suddenly speak out, and the tension we all felt increased even more.
Daniel is the one who speaks good words, and when there is a moment like this, I can be sure that he really thinks about what he has to say.
"I'm not being biased here, I don't really have any side" he continued and we all just kept looking at him and wait for the next thing he would say. "If we can take a close look at what Clark have said, he's proving a point. What do we know about each other besides the personalities we show every day?"
I trembled and looked at my friends, do I know any of their secrets? Do I really know them?
"What do you all know about me? A weirdo, right? I could be the deceiver, anyone could be the deceiver"
And at that point, I was completely sceptical of everyone.
[Brix's Point of View]
After the tension that happened, we all rested. While others were busy with what they were doing and others chose to sleep. I simply looked in Shane's direction and waited for her to look back at me.
When she finally looked in my direction, I simply signalled to her that I would come out and that meant she has to follow me.
I chose to go to school bookstore. It is just near the clinic where we are all staying. A few minutes later, I saw Shane walking by and looking for me.
I softly called her. I greeted her with a tight hug and she did the same thing.
"What took you so long?" I asked her while we're still hugging each other. "I waited for several minutes, so they won't notice"
I broke away from the hug and carefully examined every part of her body. "Are you hurt or something? Are you okay?" she only made a series of nods and I just smiled.
"I'm so annoyed with our friends, they always fight, but for me, all I know is that I'm safe when I'm with you" Shane stated and smiled at me.
I deeply kissed her lips. "I miss you even though we've only been apart for about an hour" I said and pressed my lips to hers even more.
I stopped kissing her when I noticed that Keisha was standing not far from us and watching the two of us. "Brix? Why did you stop? What's the matter?" I was speechless and then Shane looked in the direction I was looking.
The incident went fast because I didn't realize that Keisha was already close to where I was and she was slapping me for countless times, she was shouting loud that it feels like my ears are about to be torn apart. "Fuck you, Brix! I loved you more than myself! You asshole cheater!"
"Bitch, what the hell are you talking about?!" Shane shouted back and she was about to Slap Keisha but I immediately stopped her.
"K-Keisha, I-I'm sorry, let me explain" I stated and Shane confusedly stared at me. "W-What do you mean you'll explain to Keisha? What's the meaning of this?"
