"Okay, let's not panic. I'm not the panicking type. Except for the fact that I just went crazy on Mr. Perfect over there. I'm sorry by the way", I apologize nodding my head towards Hyun-ki.
"It's fine", Hyun-ki accepts my apology though what's going on in his head is the flashing cameras.
"Wait! What will maenijeo (manager) Sang-min say?", Ji-hoon becomes worried and Hyun-ki appears completely still.
"Hyun-ki. Just....this is too much trouble for you. I'll make it easier and leave. I don't want you to get into trouble. Goodbye", I turn around and walk away.
"Hyun-ki hyung are you serious? Go after her", Jun-seo whispers while the guys continuously stare at me walking away and back at Hyun-ki.
Hyun-ki puts his hands on his hips, takes a deep breath, looks up at the sky, and his nose gets red as if he's about to cry. He couldn't take it anymore, so he runs up to me, and picks me up over his shoulder.
"Hey! What are you doing?", I ask slapping Hyun-ki's back.
"You have a habit of hitting people, and you're pretty light", Hyun-ki begins lifting me like 2lb weights.
"Oh my gosh really", I roll my eyes.
After about 20 seconds, he set me on the ground.
"Why did you do that? There were probably tons of people that were looking at my butt", I fix my clothes because they were wrinkly from Hyun-ki carrying me.
"Hyun was definitely one of them", Yong-sun notes then sips his beverage.
Hyun-ki gives him the death stare, and Yong-sun returns the stare.
"Pervert", I tease Hyun-ki.
Hyun-ki covers his smiling face in embarrassment.
"Well, anyway what are we going to do?", Hyun-ki searches for answers.
"How would we even refute the evidence, when that's solid proof that we are more than friends", Hyun-ki looks to us for solutions.
"Maybe we could just say that I am new to South Korea, ran into you while exploring, and you decided to show me around. Also we can just say that I'm a huge fan", I provide a solution.
"That actually might work", Ji-hoon scratches his head, and Tae-geun agrees.
"Okay. Then it's settled. MaeMae let's go get uuuuumm....Blue Jean? Actually let's all go get her", Hyun-ki tenses up.
"Mr. Perfect, chill. I don't wanna see you anxious or tense, because of this. It's gonna be okay", I throw him a gentle smile.
"I know. I'm fine. I've just never been in this situation before", Hyun-ki squeezes my shoulder softly.
Hyun-ki bows his head, and they bow back. I'm not used to bowing my head to anyone but older people, but I did it anyway because why not. I mean I am in a different country, so I need to get accustomed to their customs.
Hyun-ki grabs my hand, and we all return to the truck. This time, it was even more awkward with me sitting on Hyun-ki's lap.
Eventually, we arrive back at the dance studio. I tell all of the guys bye, and thanks for everything. Hyun-ki follows behind me to my car. I rotate to face him.
"So....my entire day or two with you has been insane, and this has been the most interesting adventure since I've been here. Meaning that I don't get out enough. Hyun-ki, you've saved my life. You know that?", I release a giggle even though I sincerely meant every single word.
"I didn't know you felt that way...MaeMae", Hyun-ki appears to have an incredibly stern facial expression.
"Well...don't worry about me. I'm more worried about you than myself", I squeeze his arm comfortingly.
"You shouldn't be. I'm more worried about you than myself. So....I guess we're even", Hyun-ki squeezes my arm in return.
"By the way. That is a nice car", Hyun-ki's eyes widen at Blue Jean.
"Thanks. Also Hyun-ki?", I move his chin delicately, so he is facing me again.
"When you're ready for a relationship.....come find me", I wink at him and smoothly get into the car. I drive off as Hyun-ki waves me goodbye.

Leaving Hyun-ki behind as I escaped this journey in my treasured car was heartbreaking. I compelled myself to go to school. As soon as I arrived, Kallie was waiting for me at the entrance. I eagerly ran up to her.
"Kallie!", I hugged her really hard.
"Hey MaeMae! Why didn't you tell me?", she quickly interrogated me.
"Tell you what?", I express my confusion.
"That you're dating Kim Hyun-ki?", Kallie shoved her phone in my face. I swiftly grab her phone, and read the news.
BSM'S MEMBER KIM HYUN-KI SPOTTED WITH A FOREIGN WOMAN. IS THIS A NEW FRIENDSHIP OR A NEW INTERRACIAL COUPLE? HOW WILL FANS REACT?
"No. No. Kallie...listen, I'm not dating Kim Hyun-ki, but I have something to tell you after school". I give the phone back to Kallie, clutch her hand, and dash to class.
"Slow down or we're going to collide with someone", Kallie warns with widened eyes.
"I didn't even realize I was going that fast. I'm sorry", we both let out a giggle.
"It's fine. You're clearly excited about something", she smiles as we turn the corner into biology class.
"I'm more anxious than anything", I respond as we take our seats next to each other.
Kallie and I both make our way to each class, and even though Hyun-ki was in my thoughts throughout every lesson, I still maintained the ability to pay attention & do the work. Throughout the school day, tons of people were whispering in each other's ears. It was probably about that news with Hyun-ki and I. But, honestly I'm not one to care what other people think. I've never been a person to be insecure....ever.
10 hours later and I drive home. Kallie told me that she was going to see me at the apartment.
Not too long after, I reached the apartment, and Kallie was already there sitting on the gray couch.
"So do you have tea?", Kallie mutes the t.v.
"Yes I do. A lot actually", I take a seat on the couch.
"Well firstly...I'm not dating Hyun-ki, but I did meet him and we have something....going on", Kallie remains shocked by my words.
"What!? Where is he now? What happened?" She gives me her full attention.
I let her know all of the details, and gave her the story.
"You met BSM! I am so shocked right now girl! I can't believe this", Kallie falls backwards on the couch.
"Honestly...I can't either", I get off of the couch and pace back & forth.
"Do you think he'll call me back?" I ask her.
"He sounds like he's in love with you, so of course he'll call you back", Kallie responds putting her feet up on the couch.
I push myself on the floor, and lay down on my stomach.
"How are you and your boyfriend?" I position my hands on top of each other under my chin.
"We're great. He's being interviewed for a job in three days. We might go out to eat if he gets the job", Kallie informs me while smiling to herself.
"That's great news. I'm so happy for you", I truly put passion into what I said but the only thing on my mind was Mr. Perfect.
15 minutes later
"MaeMae come look at this", Kallie gestures her hand to come here.
"What is it?", I wonder as I get plop down on a chair.
"Read this", Kallie points at the headline.
It says, BSM MEMBER HYUN-KI CLAIMS THAT THE SECRET BEAUTY WAS "JUST A FAN".
"Why the f*** did he call you just a fan?", Kallie throws her hands up in frustration.
"It's part of the plan. He just doesn't want me to get hurt by other fans, and judgemental people", I slouch down in the chair with one arm over my forehead.
"That's sweet, but what now?", Kallie scrolls through her phone.
"I don't know. That's up to Mr. Perfect", I reply without any kind of emotion in my tone.
"I'm going to get some sleep, I really need it", I notify Kallie and hug her before going to bed.
"Try not to slob on your pillow", Kallie teases me while throwing a wide smile.
"Try not to text your boyfriend until two in the morning", I give her the two finger salute from my head as I turn the corner of my bedroom.
I dramatically drop on my bed, and check my phone one last time. There's one message that overflows my heart with happiness.
From Hyun-ki: Goodnight MaeMae. You didn't forget me already, right?
I grin from ear to ear, like I've never experienced pain.
From Me: Hahahaha. How could I forget? You are on every single one of my playlists, and I hear your voice even when you're not here. It's annoying....but tolerable.
From Hyun-ki: All I saw in that text was I miss you.
From Me: Then you must need to see an eye doctor.
From Hyun-ki: I may be blind, but I'm not blind to your beauty.
