"Let's go watch a movie or something", Jun-seo insisted with an excited expression on his face. The guys all look at me as if they're waiting for my approval.
"Sounds good to me", I put my hands on hips to show that I approve.
"Yes!", Ha-jun shows excitement while throwing his hands in the air.
"But no scary movies", I gesture my hand in disapproval.
"Why? You afraid you'll get scared?", Hyun-ki asks getting closer to me in an attempt to intimidate me.
"No. Scary movies just make me laugh, because of how cheesy they are. But if you really wanna choose a scary movie, then pick a great one", I recommend.
"I like this girl", Yong-sun states while pointing at me. I giggle in response.
"I like you too dude", I respond while smiling at him. This is me trying to stay friendly without flirting.
"So let's go watch that movie!", Hyun-ki yells to get our attention.
Why did he yell like that? Was he....? Jealous? No. No. No MaeMae, he doesn't like you like that. It's all in your head. Why would this celebrity see me that way?
We all head to the home theater, and I need to let you know about the gigantic T.V. that reached from Pakistan to South Korea. I mean seriously this TV was bigger than a roller coaster. I was in awe.
As soon as we got to the theater, I dropped to my knees and screamed as loud as possible, "Masterpiece!"
They all just started laughing as if they knew why I screamed.
"I know right. A bright, big, beautiful screen", Hyun-ki describes while leading me to the theater seats.
"Are you sure we're talking about the TV?", Hyun-ki pauses and turns around to look at me, stunned by my words.
"Did you just call me beautiful?", Hyun-ki asks for clarification.
"Actually I was talking about that pool you guys own, but okay", I tease and the guys just chuckle while finding a seat. Hyun-ki rolls his eyes, but smiling at the same time.
"So what do you guys wanna watch?", Joo-won questions looking at everyone.
"How about Annabelle?", Yong-sun proposes.
"No no no. I have a bad memory with that scary movie. I've told myself that I wouldn't ever watch it again", I apprise them.
"What bad memory?", Ji-hoon wonders, anticipating an answer.
"I remember I was 8 or 9, and I was with my parents, but my Dad fell asleep. It was completely dark in the living room, and my mother and I were watching Annabelle at night. My mother was literally petrified, and I almost ran outside just to get away from the TV", I provide an explanation, while they're all struggling not to laugh.
"First, you watched it in the dark. Second, you were much younger. Lastly, you didn't have 7 guys to protect you. So I think you'll be fine", Joo-won persuades still forcing back his laughter.
I climb over the seats to get to Joo-won to smack his hidden laughter out of his body.
"Are you laughing?", I make my way over the comfortable, black seats.
Joo-won displays a face of terror. But before I could get to him, Hyun-ki holds me back again, by wrapping his arms around my stomach.
"I'm just kidding! I'm not going to actually hit the man", I comfort Hyun-ki. Joo-won releases a large amount of air that he didn't know he was holding.
"This time", I look behind me towards Joo-won and made the gesture as to say, "I'm watching you".
Little did I know that everyone was cackling the entire time.
The movie plays and we're 1 hour through the movie. Everyone is asleep except Hyun-ki and I. Of course he's the only one that is up. Cliché! That just makes this even more awkward. Hyun-ki clears his throat.
"So uuuh. I have some questions for you that I really want to know", Hyun-ki confesses giving me his full attention.
"I don't see why not", I grin at Hyun-ki and in return I provide him with all of my attention.
"I want to know how long you've been living in South Korea, and why I haven't seen you before".
"Well I've been living here for nine weeks now with my best friend Kallie, and you've probably never seen me because I always have my nose in a book. Plus, I've been going to National Seoul University", I elucidate but I keep my eyes on the theater and Hyun-ki concurrently. If I focus on Hyun-ki for too long, then I'll probably feel severely weak in the knees.
I can't believe I am thinking this way. He's just a dude. Somebody help me!
"Wow! Really? What do you want to be in the future?", Hyun-ki expresses his curiosity.
"A doctor and songwriter", I am quite nervous so I cover my eyes with my hand.
Hyun-ki moves my hand away from my eyes and claims, "I think you would be a great doctor, but how good of a songwriter are you?"
"Aaaawww. Thanks. Well, I guess that songwriting part is something for you to decide", I smirk somewhat tilting my head to the side.
"You're probably right. Although, I just have one more question", Hyun-ki becomes anxious which makes this colossal room feel tense. I nod in suspense.
"Do...you have a...boyfriend?", Hyun-ki starts to observe my lips. Suddenly, I come to a realization that Hyun-ki is just a person, not the newest video game out in stores. So why act different around him?
