What's that supposed to mean, Shaw?" Aidoneus asks.
I hear Shaw take in a breath and when he lets it out he says,
"Just what I've said Aidoneus. Shawn will never go near you again because of this. Any hope you had of getting her trust you just shattered it along with Shawn. I fucking hope your satisfied."
With that Shaw goes around the car and gets in.
I hear a tapping on my window and flinch and curl up into an even smaller ball then before. When I don't answer or move the tapping is followed by Aidoneus voice saying,
"Babygirl I'm so fucking sorry. I let my emotions get away with me. This isn't an excuse just an explanation and I'll promise this won't ever happen again."
He waits for a couple of minutes before he adds,
"Please say something baby."
I just shake my head and try to bury my head into the seat of the car. Thank God it's an older car with big bench seats that I can due this.
I place my hand on Shaw's leg and whisper,
"C c can't we g g g go h h hhome now?"
I'm still shaking and it shows in my voice.
Then I feel Shaw's big warm hand settle over mine when he answer,
"Yes baby. We're going home now."
I feel the car start and it starts to move. I let out a shaky breath and finally I'm safe.
I must have fallen asleep because the next thing I know is that Shaw's talking to someone I'm not fully aware but I get bits of the conversation going on.
"You can't just shut him out you have to see him."
"Like hell I do. Do you know what he's done today?"
"It's his right. She's his wife."
"Are you fucking insane? Look at her and tell me that."
"You can't come between them. You can't."
"The fuck I can't. She's mine. I swear I won't give her up to him or to you."
"She's not for you Eita. She's Aidoneus and you know if it comes to a fight your as good as dead. He's stronger than you and you serve him. You have to bow out and let this happen."
"Fuck that. And fuck you I've said no."
"Is that your final decision on this, Eita?"
"Yes."
I wonder who is Eita. I know I'm at Shaw's house I've slept here enough to know that I'm in bed and tucked in with a stuffy he's gotten me. But who is Eita? Shaw keeps answering every time that guy says the name. So what's going on?
"Why? Why are you going against him on this? And for what a fucking human. "
"Watch it Hermes. I'm not in a friendly mood today."
"Just tell me. Maybe I can help you."
"It's simple and yet complicated at the same time. The minute I met Shawn I feel in love with her. I love her. So I'll stand in between her and the world if I have to. I refuse to give her to a man that would try and rape her to satisfy his own needs. How can I in anyway be ok with that?"
I hear a sigh coming from the door way, I'm curious now so I open my eyes and look at the doorway to see who Shaw is talking to. I catch my breath and just stair. This guy is drop dead gorgeous. He has black hair that shines blue under the light with light colored eyes that I can't see from here. He's tall like Shaw and has the same bone structure as him. He looks like a statue has come to life. I don't dare look at his body but I see he's dressed all in black, hmmm tee shirt and ripped jeans.
"She's awake, my lord." The guy says and I flinch and try to shrink into the bed.
Shaw turns around and looks at me.
"How'd you sleep baby?"
He's dressed only in a pair of sleeping pants that tie at the waist but are settled low on his hips. He looks good.
"Ok, I guess." I answer him while not looking at the stranger at the door.
"I'm sorry I didn't mean to wake you up. I'll take Harm and go downstairs to finish this conversation then I'll be back. Ok?" Shaw informs me but for some reason I don't want to be alone and I'm panicking.
"No! Please don't go don't leave me. Please Shaw." I'm a mess. I'm shaking and crying and being clingy but I just can't help it Shaw's my only safe place and if he leaves. I can't finish that thought because I don't know what will happen but something will.
With that Shaw walks over to the bed faster than I've ever seen him and gathers me up in his arms while saying,
"Shh, shhh, shhh baby. Ok, ok I promise I won't leave. Shh. It's going to be ok now."
I can't stop shaking. And I know I'm being ridiculous but I grab onto his neck in a voice grib that has my arms going numb. But I'm not letting him go.
"I see what you mean now Shaw. It is indeed complicated." I have totally forgotten about the guy at the door but when I look up he's standing right next to the bed looking down at me. What the fluff his eyes are a pale pink and I scream. I can't help it. This guy is ducking scary as all fluff.
"What the fuck Harm? She's hasn't been through enough and now you do this." I feel Shaw's answer vibrate through me and the power of his anger this guy is dead. Is all I can think.
"Sorry Shaw. I didn't know she can "see". I didn't think you would give her that "gift"." Harm says as he backs away from the bed.
"I didn't. You should know me better that that. Shawn has had this since I met her." Shaw answer and I'm at a loss for what their talking about.
"Does Aidoneus know this?" Harm asks and I start to shake with just the mention of his name.
"No. He doesn't. And he won't know will he?" There's menis in Shaw's voice and it makes me shiver a little. He just wraps me tighter in his arms.
"No my lord he won't." And with that said Harm turns around and goes out the door.
Shaw lifts my chin up so I'm looking him in the eyes and says,
"You need to sleep more, baby. Let me help you sleep."
With this I start to fall into the depths of his dark green eyes and my world fades to black.
