Hana shivered with cold. Her back ached, and opening her eyes, she realized that she had fallen asleep on the dining table; her head resting inside her arms crossed on the cold, hard surface.
She sat up and stretched with difficulty, her vertebrae cracking from the uncomfortable position she had slept in, and looked around.
It was dark, with only a small light, hanging over the sink, left on; the rest of the room was pitch black. She also recognized the mug she had left to dry on the edge of the sink this morning, as well as the light blue kitchen rag hanging next to the refrigerator.
Indeed, she was in her apartment, but she couldn't recall how she had gotten here. All she remembered was being called in, and going up to the Legal Department. After that...
After that, she'd seen the young man come in - she could hardly remember his name - and he'd stumbled in, throwing a hot cup of coffee at her. Then... nothing.
