~*~*~*~*~
As Trinity finished off her breakfast, she cleaned off her plate and set it in the sink so that she could wash dishes later that night. She was almost skipping as she ran for the door. She was excited to be able to get out and find Zyxel so she could restore their link. "Bye dad! I'll be back home later!"
Her father quickly stood at attention. "Where do you think you're going?"
Trinity turned to her father as her hand reached the doorknob and she smiled. "It's ok, dad! I'm just gonna go out for a bit. I will be careful and I will be home soon. I promise!" She flipped around and in a dash, she was already out the door.
"Oh no you don't! We had a deal!" her father shouted as he took off running after her.
'I'm really sorry dad!' Trinity thought to herself. 'I know that I promised to stay home, but I just can't do that right now. This is too important. Not just for Zyxel, but to protect everyone inside the city! I have to do this!'
She didn't want to attract attention by going through the church because she knew there was some kind of event being planned according to what her father had mentioned at breakfast. So instead, she decided to stay outside the church, but she would have to go around a little ways to do so. But as she rounded the second corner to reach the front of the church, someone stepped into her path and she collided into them.
Dazed, Trinity stepped back to apologize to whoever she ran into and looked up to see Amara.
"Oh my! Please forgive me, my child. I did not realize anyone would be coming around the corner." She glanced behind Trinity to see her father running, trying to catch up to them. "If you don't mind, I would love another female's opinion on the decorations. All of these men just don't understand how to decorate well enough for the event, and I regrettably admit that my taste in fashion might be a bit outdated." She smiled sweetly at Trinity.
"Honestly, I'm in a bit of a hurry. There is somewhere that I really need to be right now, but I can help with plans later if you still need the help!" Trinity replied in a rush.
By that time her father had caught up to her, out of breath.
Amara raised an eyebrow at Father Kiran, but made no comment. She looked back at Trinity. "Really, I insist that you stay and help." She smiled innocently again, which sent a chill down Trinity's spine.
"I don't have a choice in the matter, do I?" Trinity grumbled.
Amara lightly covered her mouth with the tips of her fingers as she giggled, almost child-like. "Not really! But I do think it will give the both of us a good chance to bond a bit! Wouldn't that be fun?" She looked back at Father Kiran and spoke up in an authoritative tone. "It's alright, Father! I can take things from here. Please, feel free to involve yourself anywhere that you would like to help out with! I will stay with Trinity."
"Thank you, Amara!" Father Kiran bowed before walking towards the front entrance of the church.
Trinity frowned at Amara, annoyed. "Why do I get the feeling that I am under house arrest?"
Amara giggled innocently again before gazing down at Trinity. Her soft gaze could make anyone feel at ease. "Just until we can diagnose how much influence my brother has corrupted inside you. Then you will be free to leave and go about as you please. For now, we are stuck together like sisters!"
Trinity glanced in dismay off in the direction that led away from the church. She knew if she tried making a run for it, that it wouldn't be of any use. Amara could fly faster than she could run.
Seeing the direction Trinity glanced in, Amara gave a curt shake of her head in refusal. "If you will follow me please, and we can get started!"
