"Wait, is he coming too?"
Bailey turned around with a scowl. Staring at the man who was behind the young woman. "Yep, why not?" Mia shrugged with perplexed expression. "I mean, this is a girl date. You can't bring him no matter if he is your bodyguard or not"
Bailey stated. Coldly gazing at the Lorcan who had a dull expression on. "But I have to protect her from any harm" Lorcan stepped into the conversation. Earning a slight glare from Bailey. "Excuse me but I am not a weak woman like others. I know how to fight back at least"
The chat between her friend and the man made Mia feel ill at ease. Rolling her eyes at the two bickering. "Well, Lorcan I will just go with her alone. You can take a day off today" Mia smiled. Disappointing the man wholly while Bailey's lips were curving into a wicked smirk.
"I understand, then have a good day" Lorcan had no choice but to obey. He watched the young woman getting into the car of her friend. And like that they two left the place in a blink. "What's the plan for today?" Mia queried out of curiosity.
Glancing at her friend driving the car carefully. "I planned to watch the movie with you first. Then we will go get some food to sit by the river and spend our time together. You can change the plan you don't feel like it" Bailey stated.
"Nah, that's cool one"
Mia approved. Smiling at the thought of chilling beside the river with some food. "Great then" Bailey shrugged. They two went out of the car as soon as they arrived to the cinema. "I already bought the tickets. No worries to get in line"
Bailey proudly grinned. Making the young woman giggled in amusement. "Yea yea you the best" Mia gave a thumb up. "I feel like a child right now" Bailey's smile dropped when she finally realized the giggle of the young woman.
"Well, I can't deny the truth" Mia smiled awkwardly. Causing Bailey to furrow her brows in annoyance. "Don't glare at me. You were the one who confirmed you feel like a child, Miss Bailey Joy" Mia retorted. Gazing her friend rolling eyes.
"Anyway" Bailey turned around, walking through the door with her friend. "Where is 2C row?" Bailey checked the ticket's number with a scowl. Losing patience slowly. "I told you to ask a staff nearby" Mia complained. "Shut up, Lady Mia. I am attempting"
Bailey hushed down the young woman. Refusing to ask help from the staff. Basically, she was tryig to show off flex. Mia crossed her arms in lassitude. Patiently waiting for her friend to find out the row. "Found it!" Bailey suddenly shouted.
Startling the people near her including the young woman as well. "Lower your voice! Gosh" Mia chuckled. Finding it hilarious somehow. Bailey side eyed her friend who was laughing quietly. Slightly glaring at the young woman.
"Sit, Miss Mia"
She commanded. As Mia obeyed along with a smile. They two settled down at the seats and enjoyed the movie for two hours. Mia was covering her eyes with tissues the whole time since it was horror movie which couples chose to watch.
While Bailey would yell at jump scare scenes and acted like it was not her who just shouted. Thanked to her yell, Mia always ended up laughing from the side. "That motherfucking asshole bitch scared the fuck out of me!"
Bailey furiously spoke as soon as they went back to the car after finishing the movie. "Well, were you expecting a warning before jump scare scene?" Mia queried. Sitting at the seat as her friend glared. "Of course not! But still that ghost or devil whatever scared me!"
Bailey continued blaming. "Mmm, next time don't choose horror movie to watch" Mia reminded. "I know, I won't ever again" the woman confirmed. "Now what's the next step?" Mia asked. "I want to get some ice cream. How about you?"
Mia continued. Earning a nod from her friend who was driving the car off from the place. "There is an ice cream shop nearby" Bailey stated. "That's good then" Mia beamed with a smile. She had been craving for ice cream since a week ago.
But the villa did not have any ice cream storing in fridge. Also whenever she decided to buy some ice cream, she would end up forgetting to shop thanked to busyness of opening new store. Now the wish had been granted.
"We have arrived!"
Bailey reminded the young woman who was spacing out. Pulling her back to reality with her energetic voice. "Oh yea" Mia raised her brows in awareness. Grabbing the purse from her lap and getting out of the car.
"Hello" the boy greeted the two young women. Showing off a smile. "Can I get a mint chocolate chip ice cream?" Mia requested. Earning a nod from the boy. "Of course, Miss. Would you like to have with a cup or cone?" the boy queried.
"Cone please" Mia beamed. "I understand" the boy smiled. "Aren't you going to eat ice cream?" the young woman asked her friend who was just standing like statue without uttering any word. "Nope, I don't want ice cream for now"
Bailey stated. "As you please" Mia shrugged. Not forcing her friend to buy the ice cream. "Can i get a strawberry favored ice cream please?" a voice of the girl captured Mia and others attention. Causing them to look back in curiosity.
However, Mia's whole body froze at the place. Locking her eyes with a pair of sea green eyes. "It's been awhile, Mia" the man's voice upset Bailey who was watching. "Escort Greyson?" Mia frowned. Smiling awkwardly as she stepped aside.
"You know each other?"
The girl who was standing beside Escort queried. Wearing a tiny smile on her face. "No" "Yes" the young woman and the man answered at the same time but turned out both of the answers were different. "No?"
Escort's right brow rose along with an amused smirk. Mia's eyes were gazing into the girl's eyes. She must be a new toy of this man. So she could not end their relationship with I know him you better back off energy. She had to act clueless.
"Miss, the ice cream you ordered" the boy from the back notified with a smile. Making the young woman turned around in hurry. "Oh yea. Thank you" Mia expressed gratitude, taking the money out of her purse. But a hand extended.
Reaching to the boy to pay the cost instead of the young woman. "I will pay" Escort voiced. The moment Bailey pressed tongue against the cheek while Mia squeezed her eyes in annoyance. She looked up at the girl.
There it was. A glare from the girl was piercing through her soul so that she could even feel it. "Back off, Mister Escort Greyson. I will pay for my friend" Bailey faked a smile. Handing the money out of her pocket.
The poor boy was panicking.
Not knowing what to do with the situation. "Why are you making it awkward for him?" Mia stepped in. Passing the cost to the boy when she got the money from her purse. It was when the boy sighed in relief and took the money from the young woman.
Irritating Bailey wholly. "You are acting so distant, Mia. Did something happen?" Escort asked shamelessly. Ignoring the so called girlfriend behind. "Nope. It is just a great thing to distance yourself with problems" Mia retorted.
"Problems you say?" Escort chuckled. "Eww" Bailey raised her upper lip in disgust. Disliking the man for paying attention to other girl while keep a girlfriend by his side. "Yep, look behind your back and you will see the problem waiting for you"
Mia smiled. Seizing her friend's hand and walking away from the place with quick steps. The man did not have time to complain nor pull the young woman back. She just left him. Escort turned around just to see the girl glaring at him already.
"What's wrong, baby?" he asked innocently. "Who is that woman?" the girl calmly questioned. But could not mask her rage. "Just someone I know" Escort answered. The boy was witnessing the whole scene while waiting for the time to notify the ice cream was ready.
"That fucking asshole"
Bailey murmured furiously. Starting the car engine in anger. "That girl was his girlfriend obviously! And yet he dared to flirt with you. Does he even have a brain to think how a girl feel when her boyfriend flirt with some girls for fun only?!"
Bailey stated while the young woman was eating ice cream. "Why is this universe making that man encounter my friend?! Seriously?!" Bailey continued complaining. "Chill out. It's a coincidence. I am cutting all the connection with him also"
Mia spoke. "You better be because that man is a walking red flag. He might lure you and leave you in the corner" Bailey responded. "Excuse me, Miss Bailey Joy. I am not that easy to get swayed by fake words" Mia replied with a slight glare.
"Who knows?" Bailey shrugged.
