"Oh hell no!"
Bailey shouted. Shaking her head in disapproval of accomplishing the young woman's requirement. "Come on! Take me to Dean Silas! I have to apologize and check him if he is doing alright or not!" Mia grumbled. Grasping the hand of her friend for pity.
"Listen, your parents literally warned everyone in this house to make sure you can't walk out of the villa. They want you to take a rest for a week at least. And there ain't no way I would be against your parents, especially Uncle Theo. He will lock me in with you as well if I help you"
Bailey refused. Annoying the young woman wholly. It made Mia squeeze her eyes. "That's why I am asking for help from you! I already predicted my overprotective parents. They want me to be the best but still I have to check upon Dean Silas. So just lend me a hand please"
Mia begged. Appearing like a cat asking for a food in her friend's sight. "I swear, why do you care about that Dean Silas like a lot? Did you fall for him that much?" Bailey finally queried out loud her curiosity. Hushing down the young woman for a long minute.
Her? Falling in love with Dean Silas? Mia blinked twice. That's not true right? She did not fall for him, right? All she could think about was her being like an elder sister to Dean Silas just because he looked like Henry in sight. There was no way she fell for Dean Silas.
The young woman nodded at her words. Perplexing Bailey who was observing. Did her friend go insane or something? "There is a saying that if someone lost words to respond to a question, it's most likely because he or she could not deny the truth. Like agreeing in silence"
Bailey stated.
Pulling the young woman back to reality. "Girl, what the heck" Mia furrowed her brows. Pretending as if she did not just doubt herself and ask herself if she liked Dean Silas or not. "I mean who knows?" Bailey shrugged. Telling anything could become true. "Nonsense"
Mia disagreed, leading her friend to narrow eyes in suspicion. "I have seen many people denying their feelings but ended up falling even harder" Bailey claimed. "Quit changing topic and take me to Dean Silas" The young woman commanded, with a frown.
"Are you still over that? I thought you gave up trying" Bailey whined. "Nah, I want to check his condition" Mia affirmed. Making her friend squeezed her eyes in disbelief. Should she actually risk it all and accomplish her friend's requirement? But, Theo and Camilla were gonna kill her.
Still, only if they did not find out, they two would not get into trouble right? In the end, Bailey nodded in approval to the young woman's request. Delighting Mia entirely. The two best friends planned down the scheme to sneak out from villa without anyone knowing.
"Oh, Mia! Why are you down here?" Camilla furrowed her brows at the sight of the young woman sitting at dining table with her friend, oddly. "You should be in bed, taking a rest. Not here? Did Bailey force you?" Theo queried. Narrowing his eyes in suspicion. "Uncle!"
Bailey shouted in disbelief. Making her friend press her lips to restrain back from laughing out loud. "It was me who would like to have lunch with everyone. I don't require eating alone in the room" Mia claimed. Perplexing the two a bit. "But are you fine with it though?"
Camilla asked.
Earning a nod back from the young woman. "Well, I guess it is not a problem" Theo shrugged and handed the bags to Maki to prepare them. Accepting whatever his daughter desired. "Please take a seat and wait at the table" Camilla suddenly spoke.
Confusing the two best friends wholly. Who was the woman talking so politely to? "Ah, yes" the man replied and stepped forward. Locking his cornflower blue eyes with the young woman's ocean blue eyes. And it was the moment Mia's eyes widened in surprise.
While Bailey raised her upper lip in disbelief. What was Zeke Preston doing here?! Both the two best friends questioned in disappointment. "If you excuse me" the man smiled and sat across the young woman. He required to settle down beside Mia to be honest.
But Bailey took a place before him. The reason why he had to sit across the young woman instead. Theo and Camilla went upstairs to prepare the files and works to take to companies. They decided to head to companies since the secretaries were calling them.
"What brought you here?" Mia queried, with a frown displaying on her face. "Ouch, I expected you to thank me first" Zeke Preston admitted. Perplexing the young woman a bit. "Thank you for what?" She asked back in puzzlement. "For rescuing you from the psychopath"
The man retorted.
Hushing down Mia for some seconds. She was pretending to forget about that and yet this man uncovered it. "Are you sure it was you who saved my friend though? I feel like you are just taking the hero place and the real rescuer is someone else" Bailey rolled her eyes and stated.
Annoying the man entirely. He pressed tongue against inside of cheek. Staring with a slight glare at the friend of the young woman who taunted him. Mia pressed her lips. Making sure the laughter did not escape from her or else the situation would be hella awkward.
"If I am not the actual one who saved her, what is the point of me taking hero place though? Of course, I would never say such a lie" Zeke responded. Angering the woman totally so that her face turned cold. "The point you say? It is clearly because you crave my friend's attention"
Bailey replied. Crossing her arms across her chest, gazing deadly into the man's eyes. Zeke smiled, artificially. The two had staring contest. While Mia let out a sigh. "It seems you three are having a great conversation" Theo's voice interrupted. Chuckling at Bailey's glare on Zeke.
"Yes, it's a very pleasant chat" the man stated as Camilla and Theo sat down at the dining table. Afterwards, Maki and her granddaughter placed the plates and glasses. And the lunch began. "I asked him to have a lunch with us for saving you" Camilla detailed.
Explaining why Zeke was here.
"Have I told you before, darling?" Camilla asked her daughter. Grabbing everyone's attention. "Hm?" Mia tilted her head. "It was him who rescued you last night actually. You should thank him" Camilla informed. Annoying Bailey and Theo wholly.
They two rolled their eyes in displeasement. Requiring to be the ones who rescued the young woman instead. "Ah" Mia gasped, pretending to be clueless. She looked at the man in front of her, only to see him already gazing her since the beginning.
No word came up from the young woman. Lifting the air in dining room into awkward situation. "You are welcome. It's my job to save a person who is in trouble" Zeke stated with a grin on his face even though the young woman had not said anything yet.
Bailey's right eye twitched in loathing. While Theo gripped the spoon tightly in rage of the man hitting on his daughter. "What a sweet man" Camilla responded as Mia continued the lunch. Completely ignoring the man. "Eat more" Camilla spoke.
Putting the meat and vegetables onto her daughter's plate until it was full. "Thanks, mom" Mia grinned. Making the man stared at her quietly. "You seem to like spring onion" Theo spoke and observed the man who kept glancing at the young woman.
"Ah yes, I like to eat spring onion with kimbap only sometimes" Zeke answered, honestly. His words captured the young woman's attention fully. Causing her to look up in shock. Those words, she knew those words so well.
She had heard Henry speaking like that once before. She even called him weird because he craved to eat triangle kimbap with spring onion. So why was Zeke Preston saying the exact things Henry had said?! Bailey furrowed brows when her friend peered up at the man.
"You good?"
Bailey queried in low tone. Whispering enough for the young woman to hear. "Mmm, let's start the plan. I think my parents will go to companies today" Mia murmured back. Making sure only her friend could hear. "Got it!" Bailey smiled, wickedly. Mia put down the spoon back.
"Ah gosh, I want to sleep" she spoke. Catching everyone's attention. "Are you sleepy, honey?" Camilla asked. Earning a nod back. "I think it is because of the pills" Mia stated. "Let me take you to bed then" Theo jumped up from the seat.
But Bailey extended her hand. Stopping him with a smile on her face. "I will help her since I am her most trusted friend, Uncle" she stated. Confusing the three a bit. "And I am her one and only most trusted father" Theo retorted. Annoying the woman.
"Anyway, aren't you and Aunty Camilla going to companies? Please don't busy yourselves. I will take care of her" Bailey affirmed. Disappointing Theo. "Would you like to pay visit to doctor? I will drive you to hospital right now" Zeke spoke, standing up from the chair in ready position.
"No no! I am fine. I am just sleepy. Not having headache or wanting to faint" Mia corrected. "But-" "Let's go. I want to sleep as well" Bailey stated and held her friend's hand. Upsetting the man wholly. Camilla and Theo did not complain since they trusted Bailey.
So they just let it be. "Please don't concern about it. She is sleepy only. And Bailey will take care of her" Camilla spoke. Trying to soothe Zeke's anger. "Ah yes" he smiled. Settling back at the seat while mind was still thinking about Mia.
'Suspicious' he spoke in mind.
