"It is strange"
Mia furrowed her brows and sat on the bed. Perplexing her friend who was watching out of the window. "What is weird?" Bailey asked. Furrowing her brows in confusion. "Isn't it bizarre for a person to eat triangle kimbap with spring onion?" Mia queried. Staring up at her friend.
Bailey frowned. "Well, it is weird obviously. I have never seen anyone eating triangle kimbap with spring onion in my life before. But people have their own taste. I can't change nor do anything about that" She shrugged. Looking out of the window to check people outside.
While Mia pressed her lips together. Even her friend affirmed it was extremely rare to see a person liking triangle kimbap with spring onion. 'Could he be Henry?' the question crossed the young woman's mind. Making her quickly shook her head in disapproval.
"No way. It is unfeasible" Mia muttered to herself. Jumping up from the bed instantly. "Let's go. My parents should be already out by now" Mia stated as Bailey took a peek at the window. Looking out to see if Theo and Camilla had actually left or not. "The cars are not here anymore. They have left"
A wide grin tugged at Bailey's lips. Delighting Mia who heard the news. "Let's go then!!" They two quickly walked out of the room after placing two bolsters beneath blanket to make it look like the two best friends were asleep together. "Be quiet, Mia!" Bailey warned.
Disappointing the young woman. "Lower your voice first, Miss Bailey. I ain't even breathing heavily like you" Mia retorted in annoyance. Embarrassing her friend a bit. "Shut up. I am trying to be sure" Bailey rolled her eyes. Taking the lead from the front.
They two reached to the living room without anyone noticing. Maids and men who worked at the villa were somewhere else since Theo commanded them to stay away from his daughter's room when she was asleep and was in bad mood.
"Sneaking out in broad daylight?"
A male voice broke in. Startling the two women wholly so that they both flinched in surprise. That tone, they recognized that voice so well. Bailey clenched her jaw while Mia turned around with disappointed expression. "Mister Zeke Preston, why are you still here?"
She queried. Frustrated over the situation of getting caught by this man. "Aunty Camilla ordered me to remain here and watch over you" Zeke retorted as Bailey frowned. "Stop spouting nonsense. There is no way Aunty would let a man like you check over her precious daughter!"
Bailey raised her voice as Mia panicked. "Lower your tone! Others might hear you!" The young woman warned from the side. But it was too late. Maki heard the loud voice of Bailey already. "Miss Bailey! Is everything ok?!" In horror, Maki quickly stepped out of the kitchen.
Causing Mia and Bailey to panic. They two promptly looked around. Then dashed behind the lounges in the living room. Hiding as best as they could to escape from villa. Zeke stood there still. And Maki appeared from behind. "Mister Zeke Preston" she called out.
Facing him with a smile. "Did you manage to encounter Miss Bailey? I feel like I heard her loud shout in living room" Maki disclosed. It was the time Mia quickly peeked over the lounges. Since Maki was back facing, she could not see the head which was popping from lounge's back.
Zeke remained silent. Maintaining eye contact with the young woman. Her ocean blue eyes were pleading him to shut his mouth. Maki furrowed her brows when the man's attention seemed to be on other things behind her. She turned around. Causing Mia to back down.
"No, I did not hear anything at all"
Zeke stated. Making Maki turn back with a frown. She was sure she heard the loud voice of Bailey though. Maybe her ears tripped. "Ahh.. Is that so? Then please excuse me" Maki returned back to kitchen. Leaving the man in living room. The moment the two women sighed in relief.
"You can come out now" Zeke allowed. Observing the two best friends walking out from behind of lounges. "Thanks.. Thank you for helping us" Mia expressed gratitude half willingly. While Bailey did not even mind to thank the man. "My pleasure" Zeke replied with a smile.
"Where are you two going anyway?" He queried. "None of your business" Bailey hissed. Annoying the man entirely. "Umm, I want to buy some food but I am afraid that my parents might not let me have my favorite food. So I gotta sneak out with my bestie"
Mia lied through her teeth. She did not even stutter. Professionally lying to a person. Zeke nodded. "Alright, I will be waiting here for your return then. Make sure to come back before five. Or else, I can't guarantee anything" he permitted.
Perplexing the two women who thought he would try to stop them. "Thanks!" Mia's eyes lit up. Grinning widely at the man, only to make him smile. "Do you want me to drive you to the food store you want?" Zeke questioned. Causing the two to shake their heads promptly.
"Ok then take care" he smiled.
Letting the two go as they wished. Mia and Bailey left the villa. "I can't believe that jerk actually did not cease us from sneaking out" Bailey stated as she started the car engine. "Maybe he understands what it feels like to being locked up in house for at least a week and let us go outside"
Mia retorted. "No. He is just suspicious" Bailey corrected as the car drove off from the villa. The guard at the gate got shut with money from Bailey. She literally gave him six hundred dollars to zip his mouth. Even Mia was shocked at her friend's admirable behavior.
They two wasted twenty minutes on the road. And finally arrived to the apartment where Dean Silas lived. It was revealed Roman Silas stayed at different house by himself while Dean Silas lived at his apartment by himself. They both did not stay together with own family members.
Because of a huge argument which occurred between the family. "Wear the damned hoodie at least, Mia. It is freezing as fuck outside even though it is broad daylight. I don't want to see you in hospital" Bailey scolded and dragged her hoodie out of the car.
In view of the fact that the young woman literally stepped out of the car in white tee and sweatpants out of concern for the man in apartment. Mia seized the hoodie and wore it on without uttering any words. Then she dashed into the building.
Annoying Bailey who hated to see her friend caring about someone overly. The two best friends walked into the elevator. Waiting for it to arrive to seventh floor where the man stayed. And they reached to the seventh floor at last. "Which room?" Mia queried cluelessly.
Impatiently shaking her legs.
As she went out of the elevator, Bailey let out a sigh. "934" she answered, only to see the young woman rushing to the room number 934 in speed. Mia rang the doorbell. Breathing heavily in anxiety. The door unlocked in an instant. Causing the young woman to flinch a bit.
With hope filled in her eyes, she looked up at the person who opened the door. However, her hope vanished at the sight. "Mia Grace?" the man voiced along with confusion in his tone. "Is your brother here, Roman?" Bailey queried from behind. Earning a nod back from the man.
"Come in" he allowed. Letting the two women stepped into the apartment. It was revealed he slept in his brother's apartment last night out of concern. "Where is he?" Mia asked and settled down on the couch. While Roman placed drinks on table for her and Bailey.
"In his room as usual. He has not eaten anything since last night. I tried many ways to make him come out of his room but failed anyway" with a disappointed expression, Roman explained. Sitting beside his girlfriend as Mia furrowed her brows at his words.
"I want to talk with him" she stated. "Go on. I would be glad if he listens to you since you are the only hope I know" Roman retorted. Perplexing the young woman somehow. Bailey did not speak anything. "Then excuse me" Mia stood up from the couch. Heading to the direction Roman gave.
She knocked on the door twice. Heart pounding loudly in anxiety. No response came up from the man from inside. Making Mia gulped in terror. "Dean, it is me, Mia. Can you come out? I want to see you" she requested. Her voice ran through the man's ears who was sitting at the door.
Shocking him wholly.
What was Mia doing in his apartment? Shouldn't she be taking a rest instead? Dean thought to himself. For a moment, he forgot about other things and concerned for the young woman only. "Dean?" Mia called out. Feeling uneasy with silence which frightened her.
Hesitatingly, the man stood up. Hand reaching to the door handle. But ceased instantly. "I am sorry for troubling you. It's all my fault. I apologize. So can you at least reply me? I am worried about you, Dean" Mia disclosed. Pressing her lips tightly in hope.
The sound of door unlocking echoed the apartment. Surprising the two in living room who were eavesdropping in hope. Mia bit her lower lip. And the door revealed the man who the young woman had been wanting to encounter. Her heart stopped at the view of the man. 'Henry...'
She found the boy in the man in front of her only. No other man, but Henry only. She had gone insane. How could she treat a total different man as the boy she knew? Mia finally realized that all this whole time, she saw Dean Silas as Henry Scarrow only. It made her feel guilty somehow.
Without hesitating, Dean's hands rose. Grasping the arms of the young woman who was staring at him in silence. In a blink, Mia had fallen between the arms of the man. Dean just pulled her forward to embrace her. With eyes widened in disbelief, Mia froze at the place.
Processing the situation.
