There used to be a vibrant young child. He played with a joy that most only experience in their childhood. His giant and wide smile was plastered on his face as his droopy blood red hair came down his forehead. He was playing in the lake and splashing water around with his friends. He was a bit pale but with age and the beaming sun... eventually his skin would tan a bit. He had dainty little hands and slightly chubby cheeks. He was full of energy and life, surely he was a healthy boy. He and his friends wore plain white raggedy shirts and long brown trousers. They had patches sewn on them, it was apparent they weren't very wealthy. They probably lived in the village not too far from this lake.
His friends looked about his height, maybe they were all around 6 or 8 years of age. One had short black hair that was slicked back while the other had curly brown hair. They laughed and enjoyed their time with squinted eyes and large grins. They laughed and laughed but soon enough, that time was over.
While one of the children were splashing water on Rei he told them to stop. It was the kid with black hair. Rei put up his arms to guard against the oncoming water. He covered his face as best he could but the other kid wouldn't stop. It was evident that Rei wasn't enjoying it anymore.
Rei: Xeo! Xeo! Stop!!!
Xeo: Why we're having fun aren't we? C'mon you got to splash us so many times, now when we get you, you want us to stop. Heck no!
Xeo continued to splash and Rei spoke out once more.
Rei: It's just you Xeo, Lume isn't even splashing any water anymore. Please, just stop already, it got into my eyes, my ears and even my mouth. I need a break!
Rei didn't seem to be kidding, his eyes were shut closed and his arms were flailing about to block as much water as possible. However, water flows around rocks, and it did so with Rei's tiny arms.
SPLASH SPLASH SPLASH
Xeo continued his onslaught of water strikes.
Xeo: Stop being a baby and suck it up. I never complained so why are you?!
Rei: You idiot, I'm complaining because it's actually a problem. If you told me to stop I would've stopped too.
Xeo was basically ignoring Rei's pleas at this point.
Xeo: Yeah... sure you would've, you're just making excuses.
SPLASH! SPLASH! SPLASH!
