"Vanity, I've come to talk!" The familiar looking man yelled from across the throne room.
"Talk? Your dogs are pounding at my front door, and killing my people! And you have the AUDACITY to ask for what?!... A family reunion?" The white skinned Demonkin stood drawing a silver sword from the side of her throne. The hooves of her satyr-like legs clacked under the stone steps to her throne. She grabbed one of her ram horns and took on a solemn look. "I can't believe you're do this a second time, Thace."
"Second time? I hardly recall a first." He replied with a grin.
"I had crown authority! I was the firstborn!"
"Only by a few seconds!"
"You think I don't know that? I heard the servants joke about mother for years that 'having the actual child was easier after she pushed out the horse'."
"Even at birth you had be first to everything huh?"
"I never wanted to be first! But I still learned how to run this country, I put up with all the etiquette lessons. It was even harder with all of this!" Vanity gestured to her own body. "I didn't even get to have tea parties while you and your boyfriends got to brothel hop every night!"
"That's a lie and you know it."
"Which one was it that you caught Hag's Bush from? Diamond? Opal? Pearl? I knew you had a thing for girls named after white gems."
"How in the 7 Hells did you find out?"
"Mordeki told me." Vanity smirked. Thace clicked his tongue with a sour look towards the Lizardfolk behind her. Vanity then continued as she started stepping towards Thace pointing her sword at him. Mordeki followed behind while Thace drew his sword preparing for a fight.
"I know you made some deal with a devil to force dad to make you the heir on his death bed! You drove this country and the Talvadi name into the ground! I gave you mercy the first time I kicked you from the throne!" She stopped and sighed a few feet from her brother. Thace watched as a single tear fell from her full, heterochromic, yellow and red eyes. "I'm not making the same mistake twice."
Vanity thrusted her sword at Thace as he caught it along his own. "Mordeki! Hold the door! We don't need anyone else interrupting OUR 'family' matters." Vanity pushed harder into Thace, at which he pulled back giving himself some distance. The two fought with no clear victor in sight as they only got light jabs and cuts into each other. After a minute Vanity disarmed Thace, knocking his sword across the throne room.
"Sorry Sister, but I think we'll have to reschedule me taking the throne for later." Thace arrogantly stated as he pulled out a scroll from underneath his coat.
"Coward!" Vanity yelled as threw her sword at him. He dodged, but the brief lapse in his concentration made him mess up the chant giving Vanity enough time to tackle him. She straddled him underneath her legs as she began choking him. Her nails drawing blood as they dig into the sides of his spine as Thace did everything he could to get his sister off of him, but to no avail. "I'm sorry it had to come to this brother." Vanity stated failing to hold back her tears. "But you've been a thorn in my si--" Vanity was interrupted by the sound of an explosion. Turning to look was a mistake as Thace got a right hook across her jaw.
The impact caused Vanity to squeeze harder as her vision blurred from her tears. Thace stops moving, but Vanity was more confused. "Sense when is familicide this... soft?" She pulled a hand up to wipe her eyes only then realizing that red carpet of the throne room has turned to satin sheets as she's got her hand gripped around the neck of an Avian woman. The eyes of a barn owl starred longingly into Vanity's before then blinking into a panic.

"Coward. Miscreant. Waste of air.
Your victory was a fluke, and will never last. You are temporary. I am eternal.
Before me you were nothing.
With me you are still nothing.
When I'm free you will be nothing.
You. Are. Nothing.
An inconvenience at worse in my plans to return your universe to the void from which it was born."
"Ugh. This dream again?" She thought. "Can I go ONE NIGHT without you trying to belittle me?" She said snarky and unimpressed.
From the dreamy unending darkness surrounding the Avian woman formed the body of a massive onyx serpent. Thought it had no head a piecing scream began. She fell to her knees clutching the sides of her head. To no avail as the screaming came from her own soul. The tips of the white and brown feathers along her wings began turning black then burning to dust. She grasped desperately with her talons towards the serpent only to have her hands ingulfed in inky blackness. "Dammit! He's actually putting up a fight this time."
The black continued to slowly consume; taking her arms, legs, and wings as tendrils crawled up her waist, then her chest, then her shoulders as they pulled her further down into submission. "THAT'S ENOUGH!" She shouted as the inky black receded and the serpent vanished giving way to a glorious white light. She sat in the white, as a hazing figure approached. It it got closer it's features became more defined. It was a fair skinned woman dressed in white and gold church vestments. Two cute, little horns protruded from her forehead. She leaned down to speak to the avian with a sultry look on her face. "Gala..." She whispered moving closer to the birds face. "You have to wake up..."
"Tifa, my love--" Gala was interrupted by a soft kiss on the side of her beak as a hand caressed her chin. Gala gently grabbed her hand sliding a talon over the wedding band on Tifa's ring finger. "I don't know why you try to sneak me kisses in the morning. I can sense your thoughts and actions in my sleep." Gala thought as she slowly and gently intertwines her talons with her wife's fingers careful not to scratch her. Tifa giggled looking down at Gala as her gaze become more determined. Rough and quick she clasped her other hand around Gala's throat. "Oh, you're really in the mood this morning." Gala was quickly regaining consciousness as her body was going into an alert response.
Gala saw the hazy figure of her lover on top of her, joyfully surprised at her unusual forcefulness, but as she blinked away the morning haze she saw that it was entirely different woman above her. "Tifa, did you not tell me you had an older sister?" Gala thought, before actually seeing the stream of confused tears from the woman above her. "Oh no." She thought again seeing she wasn't in her normal bedroom.
Vanity quickly released her grasp and scooched off the strange bird woman. "You're not my brother!" She yelled.
"And you're not my wife!" Gala yelled back.
There was a good few seconds of silence as Vanity stood and grabbed on to the bridge of her nose. Gala sat up onto the edge of the bed snickering to herself. "So-- pfft -- do you choke your brother often?" Vanity stood using all of her willpower to not set the bird on fire. For the short moment she's been here Vanity has been grabbing details. There's no bedroom like this in the castle. It was nighttime during Thace's take over but the sun coming through the bedroom windows said otherwise. "This bird may be really weird, but she might have some answers." She thought.
"Alright, it's quite obvious neither of us are where we should be. So why don't we try cooperating?"
"What ever you say '~princess~'." Gala mocked. Vanity was a moment from exploding before they were intercepted by the sound of the bedroom door opening. An elven woman in a bathrobe wonders in sluggishly, still suffering from bedhead. Her red eyes, barely visible under golden hair, go wide as her morning tea crashes onto the floor.
